Right - am not a Critchley Out, I haven’t given up on the Play Offs, the cup runs have peppered the season with some interest but overall has anyone enjoyed this season?
As a ST Holder I’ve already accepted a couple of offers of days out on home games because I just find I’m not engaged (despite our home form). Maybe the last 10 years we’ve been through every emotion possible that a mundane season where we’ve never really cemented a place in the top 6 just hasn’t grabbed me?

Common you dare to dream for your club. I’m feckin gutted when we lose and elated when we win. I’m not going to manage my expectations. The football has improved though. Yesterday they dragged us into their game. Overall the football has been better lately. The fans were fantastic yesterday!!

I,m going to home games still doubting and as I've only seen 1 away win in all the games I've seen in person ( Portsmouth)away on holiday and yesterday !!, Couldn't raise the enthusiasm required and as it panned out I was right.
I think we would walk this league playing good attacking football instead of often playing the sidewards ,backwards game that Critch seems to favour.
My observations for what they are worth
Critch is morphing into Appy on the touchline, the 3 sidekicks seem to bring nothing to the party inc Banks who seems to be doing nothing to improve Grimmy. His kicking and hesitation are becoming a problem.
Clear out the backroom would be my choice. Attack, Attack ,Attack should be the mantra

Love it especially this last month the atmosphere is getting better every game.
Semi final in a cup competition being the only one we'll ever enter and potentially win is definitely something to look forward too.

Switch Avftt off for a week or so,you'll avoid all the constant negativity on here and soon have your Mojo back.👍

The magic word, ENTITLED 😁👍🏻

Because I want my team to do well I'm entitled.
Maybe I should just shrug my shoulders and be happy with results against footballing giants as Cambridge, Port Vale, Orient, Northampton, should I go on?

Oh no, because you're patient and hopeful 🤣🤣🤣, we'll done you👍🏻
Thanks! You should try it!

Sounds like he'd be better off in a library rather than the over the top emotions being a footie fan brings. I'm struggling to swerve the entitled word users, they're all over the board today 🙄

I'm happier with the results against Barnsley, Portsmouth and Oxford away, for example, Stevenage at home, in fact nearly every home game but that doesn't fit the agenda, does it.

The home matches have been very enjoyable to watch and we’ve signed some very good players albeit some of the best are on loan.
It’s been great watching Dembele ( when selected!) displaying his skills, Rhodes scoring the goals, and others such as Morgan, Husband, Joseph, Gabriel, CJ ( on occasions!), Lyons.
It’s not been too bad in the January window too.
It’s just a shame about some abysmal away performances, but on the whole I’m not too unhappy.
Much happier than Reading and Wigan fans who came down with us!

You've picked the best 3 away performances of the season bar Bristol Rovers and yes they were good results.
You then mention that your happy with nearly every performance at home but fail to mention the dross against Orient, PV, Derby, I won't include Posh, but that wouldn't fit into your agenda, would it😉

To paraphrase Wordsworth 'when its good its very good and when its bad its shite'. The numerous away games I've been to have been largely demoralising and the two home games were a mixed bag. My lads are at uni and going to games with them is always enjoyable regardless of the score, tho I need to remind myself of that sometimes. Experiencing the tribute to that poor Stevenage lad was a reminder of perspective mind you.

It's turning into a meh season but there will be some personal highlights and experiences I'll look back on, which aren't necessarily about what happens on the pitch. I'd rather NC wasn't here next year but if he is then we regroup back the team and give it another go. I'm sure he is doing his best and no reason to think he's not working his bollux off, but there is something lacking for me with him in charge.

I’m happy. While it takes a lot of patience to recover from the damage done over recent times, I feel that the club is in a good place overall.

Im particularly proud of the home form and it’s clear that opposing teams and fans take us pretty seriously - you can tell by the way they set up.

We’ve a long way to go to where we want to be, but mindset is everything in sport, as it is in life. If you believe in success, despite the hurdles, you’re more than half way there.

UTMP.

To me it has been a tedious and very boring season so far. I seem to have lost the love for football at the moment and having been a regular home attendee for over 50 years (apart from the NAPM seasons) I have come away from Bloomfield Rd even after a win thinking that was as boring as 😔 The whole game just seems to have lost that edge that it once had for us working class fans.

You've picked the worst performances. That's the point.

We weren't dross against Peterborough either, performance wise.

Can’t knock the home form and performances and have enjoyed quite a few. Sadly, it’s all irrelevant as the away results have been poor and very boring. There are no signs of improvement and there never will be playing this weird formation that doesn’t suit our players.

Barnsley away was definitely not one of our better performances.
I'll take 3 points away from home against any team, but that display and tactics were the worst I've ever seen at Barnsley, and I have not missed many games there in the last 50 years.

Feel exactly the same. I think it’s the frustration of believing it could have been so much better with a more positive management team.
Who should the club have appointed as this mythical "more positive management team."?

(He asks, fully expecting one of the classic avftt answers of "Dobbie" or a version of "I don't know, it's not my job.")

As Phil replied to you earlier (and you chose to ignore) you have no idea who is out there until you advertise the position. I personally would have tried Dobbie at the beginning of the season, what did we have to lose from a continuity point of view, but now I have been impressed with Gary Bowyer and his knowledge/insight when he’s been co commentating on our games

If you're going with Dobbie and Bowyer, you'd have to find room for Thommo too as your criteria seems to be ex-Blackpool manager who now commentates.

If you're impressed with the knowledge of Gary Bowyer do you agree with him when he constantly says he is impressed by Neil Critchley and rates him the best in the division.
We have the radio in the car on for lancs travelling to and from the games and he says it every match.

Personally I find listening to Gary Bowyer to be the equivalent of taking a sleeping tablet.

People have weird views. Bowyer was pretty much an Oyston puppet but had the job and get us promoted to get a wage and look after his family. Seems like a decent guy but he took the Oyston dollar and ended up being potted.

Neil Critchley got us promoted and kept us up with ease in the Championship then took a job in the Premier League to set his family up for life £££.

One is lauded as a footballing guru after being sacked by Bradford and Salford whilst the other gets absolutely slated and called a snake.

Weird morality. I can’t work it out.

Being perfectly honest... simply don’t feel anything much at all.
I’m glad to read some are still engaged and enjoying this season but for me the reappointment of NC put out the last burning ember of passion.(The football wasn’t that great last time)
I know it’s still buried deep inside... the second half against Forest proved that .... but it was a one off!!
🤷🏻‍♂️

Away days at Sheff Utd & Burnley replaced by defeats at Stevenage, Burton, Cambridge etc.
A season of flattering to deceive.
Thinking back to what seems like the halcyon days of the 70's, Walsh, Hatton & co. my dad used to moan about playing the likes of Orient, Cardiff because he'd been through the late 40's, 50's glory years.
So I suppose this supposed entitled cycle is ongoing.

On Football Manager Steve Banks always struggles on coaching courses and fails to gain his badges so I have had my concerns.

Still get the buzz even after over 60 years of following Pool.
It will need something drastic to stop me going on a Saturday.
It was bad enough during the boycott but to make excuses due to League 1 Football is poor form,

I just hope our season doesn’t fade away next Saturday.

It’s a good question .
Enjoying a season in a lower division from where you came is always going to be difficult for fans of any club unless you are wiping the floor with the opposition each week and are pretty much guaranteed to get back to where you were ala Burnley last season.
However I’ve enjoyed certain games plus I’m in it for the long haul thick and thin etc so I’ll take the rough with the smooth .
Have always said win or lose much prefer it to going shopping.

No, apart from the odd game most have been frustrating and all down to one person’s stubborn decision making. Fed up of the post match interviews where every man and his dog is to blame rather than the organ grinder himself.
Losing to teams like Burton, Port Vale, and Stevenage. ffs Stevenage, a village bus route outside Luton.
I enjoy the banter with other fans and the camaraderie at away games but we shouldn’t get carried away with being a high flying 8th in league one and only a mere 17 points behind the leaders Pompey.

It’s more to do with the league we’re in for me, I can’t get as excited about beating Stevenage at home or Carlisle. I enjoyed the win at Wigan and Portsmouth away but the other fixtures feel like first round FA cup games you think we should be winning and there’s no achievement in doing so or reason to gloat when the other teams have much lower budgets
