Here comes Cummings

I must admit I sat there last night (watched on playback) wondering to myself whether he's suffering from some kind of 'mania'..........

I think it's a form of cognitive dissonance, he thinks he's brilliant beyond measure so how could it possibly be that Boris (and others) didn't recognise this and in the end rejected him entirely?

I've said it before, but I think he wanted to be in total charge of the entire pandemic response, and by extension all the levers of government, and at times he appears to have acted as if this in fact were the case.

Everything that he says is his attempt to reconcile the above with the fact that he didn't get what he wanted. Boris is an idiot with no plan otherwise he would have appointed DC as Lord Protector from the start, Boris left the pandemic reponse in the hands of the useless Hancock because Boris is an idiot, Cummings in his brilliance recoginsed this immediately and began trying to replace him with somebody else for the good of the country.

If only the brilliant DC had been in charge the borders would've been closed in January and the virus would never have got into the country, we'd have had a stockpile of PPE a mile high, test and trace would've worked perfectly from day one, vaccinations would've started last July, few people would've got the virus, none would've died, England would've put 5 past Italy, every day would be Christmas......................

It's delusional narcissm, he is brilliant, therefore everyone else is useless and incompetent and everything that's happened over the last 18 months can be explained by that.

You can tell he hasn’t got a proper grip on reality by the way he describes “Boris on the verge of death and the whole country about to collapse”, which obviously needed him to test his eyesight and head to London to “save the day”…

Like the Tory Party having managed our affairs for decades couldn’t somehow manage a straightforward change in leadership if needed.

The problem appears to have been that Cummings was attempting to assume overall control of every department and trying to bypass the normal process…

The fact that the government is recognisably better organised since he left seems to suggest HE was a destabilising force.

Its always said that when you go for a job interview don't rubbish your old boss as you new one will think this could happen to me! Would anyone in their right mind employ DC?

Has anyone else noticed, Boris has actually started to comb his hair.
Obviously got a bollocking of the wife.
Still looks a bloody mess though. 🙄

Am I sensing that the “Boris Charm” might be wearing a bit thin?

Never mind. The Tory Party has a revolving door. There’s always a replacement in the spin. I suspect Gove is sat outside on the pavement thinking “Ooh. That was a surprise!! Didn’t see that coming. Now then Rishi. A word in your ear”.
