First media interview with Laura Kuensberg of The BBC and it's going to drive some more nails into Boris's coffin. He may be a man bent on revenge and highly unlikeable but he was in the inner sanctum and has messages, emails and corroborated evidence. Boris, the man who gave you Brexit and totally fucked up our Covid response with blood on his hands.

Is it only me but listening to Cummings I can’t help but think to myself this bloke never tells the truth about anything? 🤔

After Barnard Castle gate which he lied through his teeth I wouldn't trust this bloke to switch my light on.

Cummings is a wrong 'un.

I do find it funny that last year he was Billy Liar on here and now everything he says is the gospel.

Apart from the correspondence he leaked which hasn't been denied. They deserved each other; not convinced we did though.

I can't say I'm overly bothered about their relationship to be honest.

As I said, I just think it's funny that one minute Cummings was Billy Liar and nothing he said was to be believed and the next minute everything he says is the gospel truth.

I am of the opinion that Cummings is a snake.

Couldn’t be further from the truth I’ve voted Labour all my life apart from the last election when yes I voted for Boris simply to get the Brexit job done.

I understand why you think that.

Which is why corroborative e mails and text messages are so important. Those, and the fact No. 10 doesn’t often deny the truth of what he says, suggests they have more than a ring of truth about them.

Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Even if it’s true, I’m sure he’s not the first prime minister to have said things behind closed doors which some would find shocking. A fly on the wall in most PMs offices would have been pretty interesting, especially Thatcher and Blair with their respective wars.

Oh and those who are throwing their Abrams up in horror at the suggestion that Boris said it’s only over 80s who are dying, are the same people who are saying we want freedom, we won’t get seriously ill if we get it, so why punish us, they’ve had their lives, let us have ours.

Having signed it, I do appreciate the ethos of it. My point is it seems that several revelations he's made (eg: workings of the government, routines and procedures) would indeed potentially breach the National Security.

Im sure the 'M' departments are looking closely at Cummings, as he seems to be a bit of a loose cannon.
 
I'm not a great lover of or believer in Boris, I'm disappointed in Starmer who appears to be a bit of a wet lettuce, but Cummings is the sort of confident that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. I forecast his downfall, sooner, rather than later.

For Crown Servants (which includes the police by the way) the information has to relate to security and intelligence, defence, international relations, or information which might lead to a crime.

I don’t think any of his disclosures fall into those categories and any attempt to use the OSA to silence Cummings would almost certainly crash and burn.

It’s not as if he was foisted onto Johnson in the face of all his objections.

The more his former cheer leaders criticise Cummings, the more you call into doubt Johnson’s judgment.

But as has been said, carry on digging.

Like I’ve said in previous posts I went from Labour to Tory because my then party wanted to remain (I couldn’t stand Comrade Corbyn if truth be known)

The jobs now done I won’t lose any sleep if Boris went tomorrow he’s done what I voted him in for.

Just a shame Starmer is pro European.

Cummings and Johnson deserve each other.
 
I said he was a turd and should have been flushed after his Barnard Castle incident and I’m going to remain consistent and say that I still think he’s a turd (albeit one of those floaty types that keeps popping back up).

Although I also think Boris is a bit of an idiot (understatement of the year perhaps) I’m also not sure what this whole tittle tattle ‘he said, she said’ bullshit has to do with his ability or not to lead.

It all feels a bit like a spurned lover tbh….

We all know, shit gets said among colleagues and confidants for impact and effect at the time. The comments about the Ages of people dying etc.. Is just a random quip and it’s an observation many made on here…. It’s also not at all unreasonable to weigh or consider the impact of one harm vs another and the age of those people impacted is a reasonable (albeit macabre) consideration.

Cummings is certainly a floater
There is an element of the teenage nerd about him and now he is doing whatever he can to stick the knife in Johnson, he'll be back in a months time with more dirt I am sure. Hell hath no fury ... I wonder if what the end game is for Dom, Sunak as PM, Cummings restored in his 'rightful place' as senior adviser? Calling for rebellion to spark a public enquiry is certainly a step along that road. Any proper public enquiry would kill Johnson no doubt.
I am not at all surprised about the revelations, the truth is that Johnson is way out of his depth and someone like him should never have been elected PM. Prior to office (and since being in office) he has done so many things that should preclude him from high office. But that ladies and gents is the British class system. It has been said that Johnson deliberately creates chaos to cause a distraction from his weak and inept leadership - there may be something in that.

We all know Boris is a lying duplicitous bastard, but what really gets me about Cummings is he sincerely thinks he has the moral high ground.

Well excuse me, if that's the case why didn't he resign sooner if he couldn't stomach the PM's decisions, rather than having to be sacked?

It's more of a case that politics will eat itself. Two obnoxious twats, but the evidence keeps coming that Johnson lies, has no regard for the populace and is totally unfit for his role.

Yet he can still do no wrong. What would he have to do to lose people's confidence? If he were a Premier League footballer and shagging young girls, he'd be praised for it as a bit of a lad, is the sense I get from the defence he gets on here.

No one seems to have a problem with him having plenty of affairs, an unknown number of children (possibly 7), using his position as London Mayor to conduct an affair with an American with whom he used public money to go on foreign trips....the list goes on. Each time these revelations come out, he just shrugs it off and people let him off. Why? He has no morals, no sense of decency and he's Prime Minister.

As far as I'm aware he hasn't 'shagged any young girls' and the women he's had affairs with have all been above the age of consent. I may be wrong about that, but that's how things are as far as I'm aware. I don't condone his behaviour and I'm not a big fan of his, as I've said many times on here.
But to compare that with a possible paedophile is ridiculous.
And let's not forget, it wasn't too long ago that you and others were condemning Cummings for being the anti christ. Now you're hanging on his every word.
If anything I'd suggest it's your morals that are a bit skewed.

Their both reprehensible horrible snakes, the fact is Boris is a blagger, he isn't intelligent at all, he is a terrible prime minister, he lies and lies and lies and can't make a decent decision to save his life, he gets others to come up with ideas and bags his way through with them. He shouldn't be prime minister and even though Cummings is no better, in fact probably worse, he has the evidence and ammunition to bury Boris and he is going to use it to do just that. It was very telling that none of the institutions asked to comment on what has been revealed so far have declined to say anything, they have not backed Boris but neither have they denied the accusations which says a lot to me.

The trouble is, when we really needed a strong opposition who appealed to the majority we had Corbyn and his left wing idiots, Abbot and co., who were actually worse than Boris!! It couldn't have worked out better for him.
