St Emilion is a lovely place. Quite expensive but worth a visit.

Booked the Chunnel crossing yesterday for early April.
Had booked last year but it was cancelled. They kept the money and it cost us another £31 for this time.;)
Driving down to The Dordogne and staying with friends.
Alan is a Middbro' fan. What a terrific guy though. We met when we lived in France.

Just booked 2 nights in Grenoble, followed by train to Lyon and 2 nights there, followed by train to Paris and a night and day there then flight home. This is for September 👍

Sounds good

Being the geek I am I've been plotting my Italian road trip all week ' oldskool style ' with highlighter pens on a large map 🤓
I’m exactly the same 🤣 got my notepad and pencil and highlighters out already this morning after consulting Google maps, and the itinery planning is underway 😆👌

You’ve probably passed me … feeding the ducks 🦆
It really is a lovely walk down the shoreline. I remember after the cockle pickers tragedy we stumbled upon a service being held for all the relatives of the victims who had obviously been flown over. It was a Buddhist ceremony led by monks and was really moving.. something that will stay with me forever. …
Anyway I hope you do try the pub.. you won’t be disappointed!!
Been in there this lunchtime and had a lovely meal. Wife and her friend had the Thai Curry, I had the steak and ale pie. Both very good. Talking to the lad behind the bar who said he was a Blackpool fan too. Said they they did 340 meals yesterday, it was mothers day. Seems it's doing very well so good luck to them.

Rhodes in May nothing yet for the summer as another granddaughter on the way. The autumn is looking good as my daughters moving to Melbourne so a trip to Oz is on the cards. Any tips from our well travelled tangerine army

1st Hol.
Driving down to The Dordogne (France) to stay with our friends (2/3 weeks)
2nd Hol.
Oberammergau (Germany) to see the Passion Play. Always wanted to se it, booked for last year but of course it was cancelled.
We are taking in the Passion Play Dave with a cruise down the Rhine plus visits to Amsterdam and the Black Forest and train tour back.

Nowhere other than Perhaps the Trough of Bowland or the Lakes…..and Short stays only….hope for a good spring through to autumn so we can sit out in the afternoon and relax in our back garden and enjoy the sunshine 😉and enjoy a glass or two of vino.😉.
We love Cruising but it won’t happen this year, unless P&O,not the ferry company( totally different owners) come up with an offer that we simply can’t turn down( which won’t happen)

Travelling in Costa Rica at the moment looking for birds. Off to Andalucia in June, Whitby with my three girls and their partners in september and Scilly as usual in October.

Never go any distance as I would like to help the planet for the grand kids . It would be nice if they have a planet in the next thirty to forty years.

I'd be more worried about Nuclear War!

Don't get me wrong, I recycle, don't own a car etc - but travel helps people understand other cultures and spreads financial help to parts of the world that desperately need it.

Unless you are Russian of course!!!

Just booked a week away in North Yorkshire, 4 miles from Whitby, 5 adults, 2 Kids and two dogs self-catering, just over £2k in August. The whole family needs a lift after the last two years. 🐶👨👴👵👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🐶👍

Mark,Still think Costa Rica is the most beautiful country we’ve visited, pura vida, enjoy it.🏖🌋

Heading to New York for Easter although everyone has warned me expect some heft price increases when we get there to the last time we were there 3 years ago .. don't know if any AVFTT'ers have been in recent years?

Pending any late Covid changes, we are off for our 3rd visit to Aruba, Staying at the Tamarijnd hotel at Druif Beach. One Happy Island! Time for Dirty Banana's and Rum Punch..

Hoping to cycle in Ireland solo for a month, starting mid May. Did 6 weeks solo cycling in summer 2019,wild camping and hostelling from Belfast to Cork...it was a blast! 😂. Planning to do similar, but taking in areas I missed out first time(Galway, Connemara, Co Mayo...with hopefully Croagh Patrick and an island or two thrown in). Fantastic country and people...although the weather ain't that great! 😀

Krakow next week, Ibiza August. Will be nice to go away without having to falsify test and vaccination certificates or eating a whole tube of Pringles on every flight.

Nothing booked yet.
Tbh it’s chaos at Manchester airport so it’s going to be cottage holidays in the Uk walking boots at the ready.
Trip to Wimbledon on the second Saturday booked 2 years ago.
