How are the Forest ticket sales going

I think it's very predictable. 90% of Blackpool fans will see Forest as a much bigger game and the demand for that isn't looking at strong as some predicted.

I fully respect that there is a certain age group that hate Bolton but in my opinion the majority will just see it as another shitty game in a shitty competition.
Not sure about that. Do an avftt poll and find out on here at least...

Wouldn't tell the full story. Avftt is mainly the older generation (including me) so will see Bolton as a big match. Anyone below 40 won't give two shits about them. That's not me stating fact, just how I see it.

That's not necessarily true, some of us are below 40 and it's a big game still. You don't have to have been there in the past to know of the rivalry etc. The youth also love a local derby. As I said also, it's the chance of actually winning something and going to Wembley.

It's a big game in the league. Even I did an away match. It's not a big game in the Bristol Motors cup though.

my son was talking about Bristol City. must be about twenty years ago. opening game at Ashton Gate. Arrived late because they had a balloon festival which was a great sight. but it was baking hot and i think it would have Colin Hendry in charge. I know we were two down pretty early on. And a long way home on the BSA coach.
Went to that one and the one a couple of years earlier when we went one up after about 25 seconds (James Quinn I think). In those days all games kicked off at the same time so it was the first goal of the season 👍🏼

Each to their own with cup games. I have always liked the FA Cup and will always go to home games regardless of the opposition.
There’s usually a decent atmosphere but I expect Forest will out sing us for this game.
As mosser points out, it may make a diff’ if we didn’t know our opposition for the next round.
Plus TV and midweek will keep some away.
I’m looking forward to it and at £15 a ticket, I’m hoping we’ll have 8K plus home fans.

Our former fans and players will be turning in their graves reading some of the dismissive comments of an F.A cup 3rd round replay, against top flight opposition..

Get yerselves down there on wednesday night!
We will be a laughing stock on national tv otherwise.

Biggest home game of the season so far.
Bristol Rovers away next Saturday is a lot bigger game if we don’t want to be stuck in this shit division for too long

just remember it being like mega warm. and those unlucky black away shirts ..

The general disconnect? We have bigger gates now that at any point in the lower 2 divisions.
People expected us bounce back. It will tail off and dramatically fall if we don't show improvements from here on in.

Fans need optimism and something to be excited about. It's all very stale at present and the lack of atmosphere supports this.

Agree that we don't have the luck of say Preston in cup draws.
I'd have liked a draw v Liverpool, United, City etc; but West Ham (if they and us get there) isn't that bad a draw (although Friday night KO isn't great)
Apparently they have the 2nd highest average PL gate at 62,000
Even a lower crowd for a Friday night FA cup game would still be a very good earner for us.
i was secretly hoping for tottenham. would love to see that. and my son was saying the same. .

Fans need optimism🤣🤣🤣

If we were second in the Premier League it wouldn't be good enough for you🤣🤣
Not sure about that but I certainly know our away performances this season have been nowhere near good enough. Sadly that doesn't look like changing anytime soon hence the lack of atmosphere and general enthusiasm.

ON a general point . CUP competitions are a really good chance for all our squad players valuable game time.. Whether its the FA CUP or the EFL trophy . . WE did remarkably well with the old LDV vans. Twice winners in the early nougties . we have a reallistic chance of writing a new chapter this season.

It seems some of our so called supporters are still intent of depriving the club of money by not attending and providing vocal support. A good turnout to cheer the lads on to victory v Forest wins more prize money and a potential money spinner at West Ham. They need us at Bloomers, spurring them on, not Sat at home in your PJs watching on TV coz it's a bit cold, moaning about players in gloves.

As a 2xST holder I've bought both my regular seats, because last time we played them I had my old fella with me as his birthday treat.

Cue 12 months on and I've done the same and he'll be in attendance again. He loves watching The Pool, says its like a football game used to be...

Secretly think he might be our lucky charm but I'm not telling him that as I don't want the responsibility going to his head (he's 76 BTW).

Sounds bliss!

We'll look pretty stupid if it isn't, given our protestations about the last fa cup game and foxture build up, we got that on in far colder conditions only for the fa to call off.

Surely we need to stop thinking like the past now.

It's not even a bad cold snap. It's 5 degrees for a prolonged period the day before and raining. It only goes towards freezing for a brief moment that night.

The next day is cold but not below freezing and the sun's out.

Again, if we can get that game on we look tinpot.

If we can't sell 10,000 tickets we will look tinpot
Why? People's expectation of that wasn't based off reality. We get a bit under that for a league game.

Look what we got last season in the same fixture on a Saturday, we're a league lower, weeknight, live on TV, novelty gone for Forest, not a glamour tie.

I think it'll be alright considering.

As long as we are there supporting the lads I don’t give a damn how many go or how many choose to stay at home. Their choice. Dont get why people are so fixated with attendances it is what it is
I still know a few who have yet to buy their tickets

Will we be taking all those who can't be arsed with the Cup, or more likely, it will be the same people at both. You know it.
Would have definitely been going to Bristol for my birthday with a few others but none of them can be bothered as it’s that dull watching the rubbish football and a guaranteed away defeat

I’ve had Forest fans who are not STH approach me for tickets so guessing they are expecting them to sell out to STH and members. I said no of course.
I mentioned after the first game that Forest at the moment is the hottest ticket in town in Nottingham. Purely because of the novelty factor of being in the Prem after so long away. Unless you're in your late 30s/early 40s or older you will have only seen us in the top flight as a kid if at all.

What doesn't help is that we have a 30k (ish) capacity with 24k season ticket holders and 3k away fans so getting hold of a ticket is difficult, getting hold of two together if you want to go with a mate or your kid is nigh on impossible. Same for away games with way more away memberships sold than tickets available.

It'll die down I'm sure the longer we're here if we stay up but at the moment it's like trying to get tickets for Glastonbury every time a match is approaching so a game like this might be seen as an ideal opportunity for some non-regulars to actually see a game live.

The Met Office has just extended its weather warning for snow and ice to include the Blackpool area for tomorrow

When were you last excited TG?

This season I would have to say Bolton. First away day of the season with friends as opposed to going with my kids. Drinking bottle of beers outside Tesco as the away pub was full. The day was going well. Then we kicked off...
No, I mean generally TG...in life so to speak

Maybe even this morning when I found a pound coin in the washing machine.

I think we can separate personal and football associated doom and gloom. I was at Bloomfield Road on Saturday and there is no doubt there are more A_Tense_Grins in the crowd than excitable people believing in what Critchley is doing. It was a miserable old place and that gave me a degree a comfort that I am not alone. The players actually did quite well considering.

Was there as well on the FY8 bus, got in late, they scored 2 and we turned back round and went to the pub

They’ve been charged along with Everton for breaking FFP rules, they may now want to get through this round as they might get a points penalty which would guarantee relegation.
