How long has Larry left?

Binned from the EFL Cup last night, described as poor in their defeat on Saturday, pretty poor end to the season and not a huge amount of support from Cods fans.

Away at Lincoln and Sheffield Wednesday in their next two games. Wonder if this will test Pilley's loyalty - especially as he was such a flop at Blackpool?

Er EFL wasn’t at the weekend it was last night. 😉

They’ve played one league game and you want him out. 😂

I bet when Larry signs a new contract, he has a fairly decent 'sacking compensation' clause put in.....

So would Pilley have the spare cash to throw at sacking another Manager?....and then looking for someone willing to take over where so many have failed....Getting out of L1 is graft, a good manager, a few decent players and.....Luck!!
There's no money to be made in L1, you need deep pockets, a good cup run....and even more luck, just to cover your wage bill

Pilley doesn't have limitless money......and the Cod's are a black hole when it comes to money......There has to come a time when Pilley gets bored (you only have to see him sitting in corporate, laying bets with his Klingons and not even watching the game) or OFCOM close half of his businesses down.....and then it's goodbye little fishes'

I thought there might have been a Grayson resurgence at Fleetwood with the knowledge that if he fails there his career as a manager is most likely over after so many successive failures. That'd be 4 on the bounce after doing badly managing Sunderland, Bradford, Blackpool then Fleetwood in succession..

I'd be surprised if he got them relegated to be fair, it'll be mid-table obscurity via an extremely boring brand of football - it picks up just enough points.

I think they could well be in the relegation scrap this season.

FFS why don’t we focus on how positive things are at our club at the moment.

I wish Fleetwood all the best in L1 this season.

Lots of us (including me) wanted Andy Pilley to get BFC as we didn’t know a thing about SS.

Lets just be grateful for the way things have turned out under our new fantastic owners and be gracious.

Some people are so “Bitter & Twisted” & have such short memories.

I remember have fed up we were when Larry left for Leeds (his boyhood club) because the Oystons sent all his decent loan players back half way through the season!!

Leave Fleetwood Larry & AP to get on with their business, and let’s focus on The three magnificent home games we have coming up.

Well said Ash. 👍

I thought we wouldn't talk about them as much this season being a league apart obviously I’am wrong.

Some people are obsessed with them and talk about them more than their own supposed club.

Chill out, we're just taking the piss out of our local *ahem* 'rivals'.

Pilley and his club have fuck all loyalty to our club after all, despite some of our fans being quite a long way up his rear end.

Bumspiders don't like it up 'em (so to speak!). Well said @Lytham_fy8 - the brown nosing of Pilley was another of the unpalatable things about NAPM.

I wonder how long Pilley has left? 🤠

Why keep propping up a tiny club like that? Vanity projects never last that long.

So 17 years at the helm isn't very long? 🤔

6 promotions in 10 years and over £10 million invested is something more than a vanity project. I'm guessing you don't live locally? Poolfoot is incredible! There are Fleetwood replica shirts and training tops all over the place. As for this argument Fleetwood only has a population of 30,000 so it will never grow nonsense doesn't take into account that they draw lots of support from Cleveleys, Hambleton, Thornton, Poulton, Pilling, Preesall, Carlton, Rossall etc which is probably another 80,000? Certainly in them areas you rarely see Blackpool shirts etc but lots of Fleetwood support.

You fail to realise also that his business concerns are worth £millions.

Not disputing anything else you've said but if they really have a catchment area of Fleetwood + everywhere else you listed that amounts to 110,000 people, the gates they get are an absolute disgrace.

They average 3k at home (around 2.5k home fans?) and routinely take less than 100 fans to away games, based on that I highly doubt Fleetwood are well supported anywhere outside of Fleetwood.

Don't forget Knott End and certain parts of the Ribble Valley 😀

TP, I agree. It's all about history and Fleetwood don't have any. They are what was always an amateur team bankrolled by a millionaire investor who has given them more than most League 1 and a lot of Championship clubs could only dream of. A bit like Wiggin always being a rugby town and failed to really match the support v the investment, Fleetwood is a plastic, bandwagon fan town made up of Manyoo, Leeds, Liverpool and a big Prest*n fan base (because they hate Blackpool). Their parvenu fans are mostly partisan Fleetwood for many generations folk who follow the club for the same reasons Burnley fans do . . . because they are interbred and it's first and foremost a statement they are from the sh*thole and proud of it. 😁

No absolutely not. I wish them nothing but relegation. Any fanbase no matter how tiny, who have it in for us and trash buses like they did couple of years back outside Bloomfield Road are wankers. Even their Uber fan is an ex pool fan from St Annes. Absolute tools. I wouldn’t want Pilley anywhere near us.

Oh and Blackpool have never wrecked any coaches or even pubs and Supporters clubs have they not??🙄🙄

This is surely the biggest WUM ever. Having lived in Poulton my whole life and I have never once seen a Fleetwood shirt either here or in any of the other areas that you talk about. I am literally crying laughing at this post!

Maybe the piss taking they gave us with their " oyston in " banner has something to do with it

Why does this supposedly massive fan base with their replica shirts and kits not actually go and watch them play football?

I'll tell you why . They don't exist .

Looking in the papers this morning, PNE bottom of the Championship and the Cods in the bottom three was a little comfort.
Three defeats on the spin for Larry and Sheff Wed away on Tuesday!

I think we will find that every club is bank rolled bar one or two so no different to nearly all the 92

Hard to laugh at someone else's misfortune when we've just had back to back home defeats but Larry's luck still hasn't changed at the Cods and this weekend they face Cheltenham at home? Turning point or will the screws turn on Larry?

Agree with all that apart from I never wanted Pilley to get BFC

I think we did very well getting Sadler

I live in Cleveleys and you only see the occasional Fleetwood shirt, and that’s at the tram stop on a match day - Cleveleys will always be a Seasiders hotspot 👍

Notice they have Ipswich away and Wycombe at home coming up - not easy - games in hand on the bottom four but not looking great for them. Anyone checked on Knappers lately!
