How Not to Run a Football Club update

Hi all, I have good news and bad news for those interested in my book.

The good news is it's finished, all been legally approved, and I'm incredibly happy and proud of it.

The bad news is we are now in an incredibly busy period for printers, as their time is reserved in advance for Christmas releases. So I've been told there is a roughly 12 week turnaround - I'm not sure if that means after it has been proofed and typeset (which needs doing) or if it includes this. But either way, we are looking at a release early next year.

I'm sorry for all those who have pre-ordered and will have longer to wait, but rest assured it is finished and is now out of my hands.

I will update you when we have a new release date. Retailers have been giving inaccurate placeholder dates which has been frustrating.

Ordered a copy a while ago and looking forward to it. A few extra months is no problem, especially with printing pressures for bestsellers leading up to Christmas. Is the follow up book 'How to not run a book printing launch'? 😉 😄

Ha! Yeah, turns out trying to write a book about this football club in 4 months wasn't a good idea...

One of my daughters was delighted, that for the first time in many years, I'd actually told her what I want for Christmas 🤣
I'll update her and she's bound to say .... "what do you want for Christmas then?" and I'll give the usual reply of "nothing, save your money" 🤣 🤣

I've now done that Foggy ..... as she's paid for the book - that's a new year gift, and now she has an order for a military charity tee shirt 👍
Congratulations to you, for becoming a huge part of the history of our fantastic club - can't wait to read your masterpiece ;)

Very wide. Spoke with dozens of people over countless hours. Among many others I spoke to Karl, Vicki and Sam Oyston. Ian Holloway, Steve Thompson, Kaspars Varpins and Valeri Belokon, Gavin Steele an ex director at the club along with Roger Reade and Derek Spence from the Trust. Paul Cooper the reciever and Brett Gerrity and Ian Currie. Also Tim Fielding, Christine Seddon, members of the Knights, Raggy, Andy Grice, Jez Smith, Sharpey, Paul Crashley, Mark Bradley, Glenn Bowley. Jose Riga and his agent Chris Nathaniel. Steve Canavan and Will Watt. A handful of players although not many. Its the comprehensive book of our recent history.
 
Well it was going to be a Christmas present to myself and one each for my boys (it's important that our fight never gets forgotten and it captures the earliest years of the yet to be lifelong love of Blackpool).

That's not to be now sadly, however, there's nothing I can do about it; although I think it would be great if you could get some signed by the heroes who carried the lit the flame and carried the torch for us 👍
 
Firstly, thanks for writing it. Second, I've just preordered a copy. I went without my beloved team for so long... I can wait for your book which I'm sure will perfectly put in to words why I did.

My daughter has got on pre-order for me, it was for my birthday in October, its now a Christmas present, really looking forward to reading it 😀

I've bought it, amazon saying delivery now November 27th
 
I hope it has links in the references to all the court case transcripts they lost. I will never get tired of reading the full transcript of the big case. In fact there should be a link on here to all these for posterity. Pinned forever to the top

Foggy - well done on finishing the book
It won’t make a blind bit of difference it misses Xmas stockings, in fact it’ll be a super NY prezzie

I even mangedto persuade 2 fans at Dulwich Hamlet to buy it so let the truth ring out please
