That’s a surprise. Us old school brits will obey the Government advice, we may moan but we’ll obey it, but let’s be honest there’s hundreds of thousands feral people, in our big cities primarily, who’ll be loving this. I don’t know what the answer will be if civil disobedience gets out of control. We live in worrying times

Can’t agree more Memphis, unfortunately there is a minority who may use this as an excuse to cause civil unrest, l sincerely hope not though as it’s the last thing we need.
 
Why not tell us what you REALLY mean? I'm taking it "feral people" is code for something else.

In the current emergency the o/p is absolutely valid.There are many who are offering help and showing that we are blessed with many good people in this country but of course on the other side there are the scum who behave in a totally anti social way.There can be no sympathy for them especially at a time like this and I hope if they indulge in criminal behaviour they are rounded up and slapped down very hard.

Robbie the tone of your post suggests you fail to grasp what we expect and require in this country at this time when everyone should be making every effort to help others and pull together and the behaviour of those that do the opposite should not be tolerated.

There are packs of the feral scum just waiting to jump on any opportunity they can find to loot, steal and generally run riot. They love the thought of anarchy and hate the idea of being part of society. I really hope we introduce emergency laws to deal with them as soon as they appear, and trust me they will. Waits for cat to come on and blame the Tory party.
 
I've been searching the internet and have found one news story that could imply looting in London - although it's actually just 'good old' shoplifting and vandalism...Civil disobedience is no more or less out of control today than it was 6 weeks ago as far as I can see.

What I don't "grasp" is how the OP feels he can post unmitigated bollocks and then go on to suggest that the alleged events he claims happened were all perpetrated by people who didn't grow up in cosy nuclear families. As SATW says, there is no evidence that I have seen that suggests that the alleged looting has even happened, let alone anyone being nicked for it.

The correct place for posting that kind of rubbish is Twitter. There are plenty of kindred spirits there.

I'm not sure how you "loot" a bus, a bookies or a Wetherspoons.
 
Perhaps Bob can use imaginary bullets for imaginary looters.
And DONK, you're absolutely 100% sure that this is from this week and not a previous riot because there appears to be nothing, as yet on the news/ internet except this.
 
"Looting in Tooting " will be on the front of the Express and Sun tomorrow. It might not be actually in Tooting but why let the facts get in the way of a good headline?

To be fair, I was in Sainsbury's in Lewisham this morning and there was some loud tutting when they temporarily closed one of the tills. Fortunately another one opened before any "Gor Blimey" broke out. But it was nearly tense for about fifteen seconds.

it was Sainsburys in London they have just ordered 150 cameras of my daughters company for all the staff
 
This situation will no doubt bring the worst out in people. But it will also bring out
the best in decent people. Wiz, I sincerely hope that all this makes people stop and
think and we have a return to a proper society.

Apparently the footage is being taken down from Facebook and Twitter in some places. It's thought to be footage from around 2011. Spoilsports, obviously.

The clips I saw had trees in full leaf, a bus advertising Captain America and the looters wearing t shirts. The definition of fake news.
