Exactly… won’t want a repeat of that. He’s dropped another bollock though but it seems we can’t criticise him.He did with Grayson.

If we get the results we usually get over Christmas, he’s a goner. What would be the point of sacking him now? We've got a Christmas schedule coming up
If they are going to sack him, now would be the right time imho. Use the break to find the next manager, gives them time with the players before the fixtures start up again, and time to assess the squad before the Jan transfer window. What would be the point of sacking him now? We've got a Christmas schedule coming up
After 4 straight defeats that would most certainly cheer me up no end, especially the heart shaped signs, that would be brilliantshould he do heart shaped signs and kiss the badge would that help?
The geezer’s not a good enough manager for this level Pip. Been proven before, looks like it’ll be proven again. The board aren’t without blame on this (a) for hiring him and (b) for the haphazard transfer policy, but they can’t be held accountable for his moody tactics and general malaise in performances.Bullshit won't want to take any blame of the cluster fuck that he's helped create
So Appleton will be the fall guy
Losing the fans is massive and whilst I don't think he deserves the sack or the abuse he's been getting I think he will be gone
Shame as some of the football has been decent in spells but fundamentally the gaping holes in our squad has caused this poor run of form
Some of the names mentioned as a possible replacement have been ridiculous
Somebody like Michael Jackson or Michael Flynn would probably be more like the type of guy we can attract
Never Phil - well I never !Bullshit won't want to take any blame of the cluster fuck that he's helped create

We’ve had far more performances that have been woeful compared to the few ones that have been good. Although doesn’t fit in with your argument.
The guy is so so stubborn and set in his ways, we’ll be relegated before Easter if he stays.
I think you got one word wrong “very” soon !I don’t think he’s to blame but what is happening is what I feared would happen as soon as he had a run like the team have just had, the vultures have been circling since He was appointed and because of the mistakes of others he will be the fall guy. They made the wrong choice with Grayson, it turned out they made the wrong choice with Quitchley and Appleton was the wrong choice because of how a section of supporters felt about him.
Just because he bought the club, sorted out a lot of the shit the stains had done doesn’t mean he has the first clue about who should be managing our football club or who should be trusted as board members. Appletons position is now pretty much untenable and he will be gone soon, so Sadler has to choose someone again and he could easily make another poor choice, or make a good choice but not back him. Running and owning a football club isn’t easy and owning and running one that you actually support might give you some kudos for a while but it doesn’t guarantee you’ll be any good at it.
That Bob Paisley lacked passion…., what a loser he must have been eh?I don't understand this lacks passion thing
Not every manager paces up and down in his technical area waving his arms around like a demented ape
Not to me he hasn’tAnd Michael Jackson has been dead for years.
It didn’t at all in many gamesIt's exactly this.
His negative demeanour filters its way onto the pitch and terraces, we can all see it.
To be honest i don’t like him,i certainly didn’t want him,but I’m of the opinion if you don’t give a new manager time to create his own team then you’re going nowhere. So for me the board need to back him in January and we see what transpires. The problem is that some fans and the number is growing didn't want him didn't like him and weren't willing to get him a chance
When fans behave like yesterday the board have to act
Yeah he went into Lincoln and ran it as a going concern until he could start to change the squad. They brought him in to do a cheapo rebuild and lower the wage bill and age of the team after the Cowley's left and when Covid hit. Then he took them to the league one play off final. They pushed hard for a top two finish but for getting hit by a load of injuries and tailing off.Fans are split now , no matter how well he does some fans are never going to warm to him , but he took over a hard working bunch of players , he didn’t mess about getting dale out on loan James out on loan , and we let our most experienced player in keogh leave who I believe would of been a big influence in the dressing room, he doesn’t seem to fancy garbutt or husband and he brought in Thompson who is a liability at times the loans signing have been poor and not improved the team he plays Yates out of position and Madine isolated on his own , our full backs don’t over lap so lack of options down the wings and he takes out grimshaw for maxwell who can’t catch or command his box , the players look disjointed at times he obviously doesn’t rate anyone on the bench yesterday as he kept madine on when we were crying out for pace to try and counter attack to take away the pressure and the players must be told not to press and defend space instead, he is clueless, I don’t think the players are happy either especially Yates , when this happens performances drop just look at middlesboro and when most clubs get a new manager with same players they always seem to improve that’s why we need to change now , when he took over Lincoln they had got promoted only losing 7 games in 46 and won 4 of the first 7 in league one before the crowley brothers left , they were a team on the up and in a good position, in comes apples and they finish just above relegation only winning 8 out of the 39 games he was in charge of that season , that tells me the players either turned shit overnight or didn’t like Appleton or his formation, the following season he let 21 players leave so he turned a solid group off players into a team that didn’t want to play for him we need to get rid now and get the feel good factor back at the club
How did they make the wrong choice with Critchley, he couldn't have done any more with what we had.I don’t think he’s to blame but what is happening is what I feared would happen as soon as he had a run like the team have just had, the vultures have been circling since He was appointed and because of the mistakes of others he will be the fall guy. I just think it's bullshit... take ANY team in the world, give them 11 injuries/suspensions/illnesses from their 25 man squad, and they are inevitably going to be shit/knackered/not able to play to their full potential for 90 minutes 3 times a week.Bullshit won't want to take any blame of the cluster fuck that he's helped create

I’d be very surprised if he was sacked, given the current circumstances. He’s got to be given time. When players start returning hopefully things will get better and given the fickle nature of fans, he’ll start to win them over. It was only a few games ago that fans were chanting his name - positively!!Bullshit won't want to take any blame of the cluster fuck that he's helped create

It all depends what the club want to achieve this season. I think sacking him now will give us a chance of recovering and not getting cut adrift. If they decide to stick with him, then I feel that the board are willing to risk relegation, but that is financially damaging too. Will he be sacked?
Remember he's on a four year contract and it would cost the club dearly to sack him.
Having said the, I think that IF he's going to be sacked, NOW is the time.
Get a new manager in very quickly so he has the next month to get organised and to know the players.
Not sure why some put demands on not renewing etc, as pool fans we should be going regardless. If Appleton gets sacked in the next couple of weeks , I will not be buying a season ticket next year . This is not because I am an Appleton lover ,in fact I didn't want him . The reason for this is because if Simon Sadler gives in to gobshite power rather then taking into account the way our players have been injured and getting sent off especially Marvin . The manager should never have been blamed for most of whats been happening on the pitch and if he is sacked ,it should be when he has a near full squad available and still lose every game.
Birmingham at home won't be easy as they're a different side to last year.Appleton won't be sacked before or whilst the World cup is on. I don't see him being sacked after that unless we lose the first 2-3 games after the break - then I think there's a chance, otherwise, if he picks up a couple of decent results, I think he'll be given January. If it's still poor then, he's probably not going to last until the end of the season.
Oh come on. Join the real world. There's no sympathy in football for managers regardless of injuries, Board decisions or anything else. MA isn't some sort of charity. Even he must understand that.If Appleton gets sacked in the next couple of weeks , I will not be buying a season ticket next year . Got lube?"lacks passion"
Does he need to fist the North or become Nathan jones?
They're keeping him. They haven't backed him from the off unfortunately.I think if he was going to get sacked it would have been done already. They’re clearly backing him
100% agree. Pure sense. Thank you.If Appleton gets sacked in the next couple of weeks , I will not be buying a season ticket next year . If he's there I'll go, if he isn't and its someone new i'll go.
Why wouldn't you back someone new.
He might not be giving into fans, they might have had minimum requirements from the games we had left.
But also he might think if we don't have fans onside we won't survive, which might be valid.
Its very unlikely that Appleton would be sacked for what has happened over the last few games . So from this I am probably making an empty threat ,but I am sick of hearing Blackpool fans having a go at a Bloke that is doing his best under unbelievable bad luck . I just feel his sacking would be so in just that there is no way I would fork out £400 to anything as unfair as this. I stopped when the Oystons were shafting us all and I would do it again. Not sure why some put demands on not renewing etc, as pool fans we should be going regardless.

If the team carries on losing after we get most of our squad back I would agree with you . If he is sacked now ,after the way the players have been carded injured and sick . I think that I will save myself £800 next year by myself and my son watching Prem football on TV instead of going to watch my club shaft a bloke for doing his best under terrible luck ,while gobby pool fans who are obviously not watching the games jump on the bandwagon.Oh come on. Join the real world. There's no sympathy in football for managers regardless of injuries, Board decisions or anything else. MA isn't some sort of charity. Even he must understand that.
I might agree (just) that he should stay if I was confident that he could do what is necessary in the January window, with whatever resources the Board give him. But I'm not. I think he needs to go now, so a new manager can be found during the break, and he can decide during the December games what needs to be done during the January window, hopefully with the full support of the Board.
Worst nightmare is that MA stays, does whatever he can during the window but to no effect. The Board then panics, too late, and gets rid of him in February. Someone new then has to be brought in, get up to speed, get to know the squad and decide what needs to be done, leaving only ten games, possibly less, to bail us out of the shit. A nearly impossible job.
It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned. We need a change now.
I didnt want him but I didn't conduct the interviews so it's not a particularly well considered view. The problem is that some fans and the number is growing didn't want him didn't like him and weren't willing to get him a chance
When fans behave like yesterday the board have to act
I've not called for him to go, tough hand etc but made mistakes too. But can see we'll probably never be all we can be with him here and fans against him, he's lost loads of them. Its very unlikely that Appleton would be sacked for what has happened over the last few games . So from this I am probably making an empty threat ,but I am sick of hearing Blackpool fans having a go at a Bloke that is doing his best under unbelievable bad luck . He will go and it will cost money the club hasn't got all because of a few idiotic fansI’d be surprised if he goes.
Like some have said. Who would want to take the helms of a possible relegated club. Tough ask.
Also everyone is saying we need players in, which we do. So which players would come here with us in the bottom 3 unless it’s for the usual £££’s.
Lastly, fans chirping on about managers being passionate really pees me off. Would we be bothered about that if we were top half?
Are they missing the fist pumps off Critchley? If that was your highlight on the game/day then all I can say is oh dear.
What would be the point of sacking him now? We've got a Christmas schedule coming up
If he is given a chance to turn things round then he can win the fans back . He has a 4 year contract ,it would be a small fortune to get rid now . So I don't see the point in talking about a replacement until he is given more time and better luck. The fans what are asking for his head at this stage need to give their heads a wobble or they are nobbers on this site.I've not called for him to go, tough hand etc but made mistakes too. But can see we'll probably never be all we can be with him here and fans against him, he's lost loads of them.
But also I can see how it might work out should he go, sometimes clubs need that lift, we won't survive without fans on side.
But who comes in.
He's survived upto now so seems like he could be ok and let it all die down over the break, or they could be looking and not wanting a public pursuit.
