Agree with the above. You've also got to remember this is Grimshaw's first exposure to senior football and while he's done well it could take only one or two bad games to shatter his confidence. He is a great addition to the squad and I think he is actually more natural with the ball at his feet than Maxwell.

Tricky one actually, Grimshaw has done really well and it'd be harsh but Maxwell is the best keeper we've had since his current goalkeeping coach.

I agree - Max to play, as he is number 1 and our skipper.
Grimmy has shown that we have two good first team keepers (+ a decent third one) and we don't need to look for another in January.
It's a tough life trying to be number 1 keeper.

Maxwell plays without a doubt. Grimshaw has done well but I think we've defended that well he's not had too many saves to make apart from the regulation ones you'd expect any keeper to make. Apart from maybe the one at Sheff U.

I think it's a question of potential, Max has reached his but how far can Grimshaw go and does playing for the first team help him get there?

Might have already been answered already, but when is Maxwell expected to be fit to start again?
Grimshaw has been amazing for us in some huge games. Clean sheets too.

And the one-on-one against Reading.

That’s the same for any player who has a couple of bad players

Maxwell straight back in he’s our captain and leader on the pitch. No reflection on Grimshaws performances btw he’s been terrific

Grimshaw added punching and catching crosses to his CV Saturday, which is Maxwell's achilles heel.
But you'd have to put Maxwell in, a big influence in the team on and off the pitch.

Don't forget the cracking save he also made at Reading when we were 2-0 down early in the second half. I know I'm in the minority on this one but I think he should keep the keeper's shirt. I think he was a little bit nervous in his debut away at forest but since then has grown in stature culminating in some very confident performances. I think he is better than Maxi on crosses, distribution and gives me more confidence as a sweeper keeper in the style we play. Having said all of this, I think Critch will start Maxi when he is fit again. But either way it is another position where we have real competition for the shirt and it highlights more than anything how good this squad is 👍

yeah, I acknowledged that save with my 👍 to bollie.

Critch is a manager like most managers in that he relies on the tried and trusted. And that is Maxwell so I will be very surprised if he doesn't go straight back into the team.

I’m a fan of Maxwell but I’ve voted Grimmy because I think he’s done enough to keep the shirt, been really impressed with him.

I voted Grimmy. Though more heart than head. Has absolutely shown he is capable of keeping the shirt and deservedly so but would Critchley drop the club captain if fit? Grimmy is young and developing. But, has excellent distribution, is confident and can deal with crosses which is Maxwells Achilles heel. Absolute shoe in for future number one once Maxi has hung up his gloves
