That’s good newsMitchell 2yr deal
Where does this leave Hubby?
Competition for places. Klopp keeps his squad happy, hopefully that’s a trait that Critch has.Where does this leave Hubby?
He will be a regular CB I reckonWhere does this leave Hubby?
Different players for different games. If we're up against a team with a good right side so our left back will need to defend more than attack then Husband is the obvious choice. Playing a team with a weaker right side then our left back can get forward more so we can olay Mitchell. Always good to have options.Where does this leave Hubby?
It's certainly a possibility but he just lacks a few inches. He will be a regular CB I reckon
It’s his best position.
Personally I like to see a settled side but I suspect that might not be Critchley's style and we have got quite a few players now that he will need to keep happy.Different players for different games. Definitely!!He will be a regular CB I reckon

I think with the fixture congestion we will see quite a bit of rotation in the squad. That seems to be why he's getting at least 2 players for every position.Personally I like to see a settled side but I suspect that might not be Critchley's style and we have got quite a few players now that he will need to keep happy.
Maybe we have another signing tomorrow lol spread them out. What a bizarre time to announce a decent signing - will get lost on most!
Yes, we still have 2 squad places.I’d personally say leave Howe where he is as Turton’s understudy and get a Centre Back and one more striker in. If I’m correct in thinking we have 2 more squad places after this signing?
Mitchell will be way off 90 mins for the first team so Husband will be LBWhere does this leave Hubby?
I doubt JH will be a regular CB. At 5ft 10ins he is just too small. I think NC will bring in another specialised CB. As others have said NC likes competition and cover for places, so both JH and Mitchell will cover at LB. And the league programme is truncated this season, so rotating players will be importantHe will be a regular CB I reckon
It’s his best position.
He's 41 believe it or not!Slightly off topic I see Kevin Ellison has gone from Morecambe to Newport. He must be pushing 50!
Is that all? He seems to have been in his forties for ages. I'd re-check his birth certificate. He's 41 believe it or not!
Sort of agree. It's a fine balancing act and I hope he's got it right.I’ve never heard of him, without Google I wouldn’t have a clue who he his or who he’s ever played for. I’m sure he’s decent but I can’t help but think we have signed more than enough “promising” youngsters with talent, I wouldn’t mind a few youngsters with proven ability playing league football.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking him and I’m sure he will be a good ‘un along with everyone else but a few more players with proper football under their belt wouldn’t go amiss for me.

Yes, unfortunately!Great move. If he stays fit he could be a very very good signing. According to Wikipedia he was voted young player of the year at Man U not so long ago. An award was once won by Jason Lydiate, anyone remember him?
Anderson, Yates, Bez, Hamilton, Williams they've all got a fair bit of successful experience of League football, it's not just youth players fresh from reserve teams we've been signing.I wouldn’t mind a few youngsters with proven ability playing league football.
I get that and to be absolutely honest I didn’t even know young Mitchell had been on trial with us - after so many years of “A Trialist” on the team sheet it’s hard to keep up and obviously a lot of you pay a lot more attention to football than I do these days to say the least. I’m glad so many of you are so interested and so well informed as I’d be even more clueless!Anderson, Yates, Bez, Hamilton, Williams they've all got a fair bit of successful experience of League football, it's not just youth players fresh from reserve teams we've been signing.
