Interesting rumour re Boris

Just read a Twit from Emma Kennedy in relation to Boris and him resigning in the next 6 months. Apparently leaked from Dominic Cummings father in law.

I wouldn't be surprised. I actually think the Covid he had was a real eye opener and he was definitely very very ill. I think he is still recovering and he hasn't got the fight in him anymore. He has also led us over the cliff with Brexit, the single most stupid thing this country has ever voted for.

Wish he'd go now. He has made a total balls up of COVID because of his in actions is responsible for thousands of deaths. He is now trying to blame everyone else for the mess. The guy is a complete moron!

“The single most stupid thing this country has ever voted for” 😂

Just my opinion Shed, I can't align myself with the Trumpesque supporters of Brexit I'm afraid, it will never go away.

At the end of the day Cameron and his pathetic, arrogant decision and way he fought the Remain campaign will end up being far worse than anything Maggie ever did. She may have been a lot of things but she was never a coward.

As Sir Max Hastings pointed out last summer, Boris is lazy and has never had a work ethic, he just likes the adulation. But there’s not much of the latter around now. At every crisis he goes missing. As for Brexit, just like Cameron he wants to avoid the 2021 fall-out from that when border restrictions with the EU really bite. And he knows what the Covid Inquiry is going to find, so he will definitely run away before then. I’ll bet Murdoch or the weirdo Barclay brothers have lined him up for a massively paid sinecure. At the moment, the PM’s salary is peanuts in comparison and he actually has to work for it.

Spoke to my contact who knows him.

It is rubbish apparently...

However there are a few senior members of the Tory party that are going to let him take the wrap for Covid and probable no deal - or a hashed up deal.

Then they will try and remove him as they think he is finished in regards to the next election - and he is aware of this.

I also know Covid, and very nearly dying while having a kid has effected him massively - apparently it made him realise what’s important to him - sadly still being PM is one of them - but not as important as it was.

He has also apparently not fully recovered yet.

Although, never ever underestimate the Tory machine that will throw any PM to the wall if they think an election is at risk!!!

No problems with peoples opinions/views Herts even if they don’t represent mine but I’am proud of that day we voted leave and indeed I look forward to a future of not being governed by Brussels. 🇬🇧

I think I can concur with pretty much all of that. I know for sure he really was very very ill and hasn't recovered properly yet and he knows there are much more important things in life. The rest of it is bob on.

There is a slight problem for Boris though... if he leaves No.10 and Chequers he does not have anywhere to live, apart from Carrie’s tiny flat. He is also fairly brassic having recently lost his last house and half his wealth to yet another ex-wife. So he will need a little time yet to sort out his income and domicile. Perhaps another of his cronies will lend him a nice big London town house.

Brexit what a farce ,worst decision ever (and his puppets are still thinking ,like we own the world )the empire collapsed years ago ,why do people not get this ,we are not the great Britain all the world used to fear ,we are now laughed at from every corner of Europe ,why can't people see that Brexit will kill GB ,and all our children will suffer their whole life worrying about this coming recession, which will take prob 20 years to sort out (I am not politically driven )but a complete imbecile should be able to accept the fact ,as I've said before the country is fooked !

So you think we should fleeced by the very corrupt EU.
It was the worst decision the governor ever made to join the (common) market, as was.

"Brexit will kill GB" "all our children will suffer their whole life" "a complete imbecile should be able to accept the fact ,as I've said before the country is fooked". Exactly the kind of dumb-ass insular thinking we are trying to escape from. That's why the majority of voters wanted to leave.

And I suppose it was the tyranny of Brussels that made Thatcher fight the Falklands War. Perhaps it was the EU that forced us to hold an independence referendum in Scotland in 2014 or to introduce Academy and Free schools. Then again, wasn't it direct orders from Brussels that made the UK introduce a national minimum wage?

I remember all too well Spain backing Argentina to the hilt and accusing the U K of aggression they even tried to get other EU countries to back them oh and that’s not to mention the Frogs selling them aircraft and weapons, some allies they turned out to be. ✌

Tangerine we can only hope you are correct (and I think if we had the vote today ,people will have woken up and smealt the coffee ,the country is run by imbeciles )mind you not much has changed in my seventy years ,
Glad I live in Spain.

Spain didn't join the EU until 1986 so not really relevant. Also, they are not members of NATO.
France are (yes ok I’ve edited my comments since you replied)

And as I recall France shipped 4 Exocet missiles to Argentina in the early days of the conflict I’am sure I don’t have to remind you what happened next.

Brexit is done, the people voted, for a pup designed to make a few people lots of money, but they voted and we'll soon be living in a land of post Brexit prosperity where the french owned electricity will light up the red white and blue, unless it's the German owned provider, they also own most of the great British trains that'll run on time and deliver you home to open your mail delivered by the German owned post office telling you more great Brexit news then switch on the Chinese made TV you bought from the US company who don't pay tax.

Gawd bless us all👍

I think whether Boris knows he's going to resign yet or not, it would be a very predictable move by the Tories. Boris absorbs all the blame for this, that and the other but also gets to leave a bit of a martyr to Covid and they get to put a sensible person in charge and neutralise Starmer who seems like the grown up one between him and Boris. I think reading the runes, the next election will be about stability - we've had all the drama and upheaval of the last few years and Boris isn't a politician for stability - people trusted him to do Brexit and trusted him to be 'not Corbyn', but do they trust him on other things? Probably not.

As someone said above, the Tories are an election machine and if the numbers suggest Boris is a tarnished brand, then Boris will go.

He has been seen missing for the majority of this virus. Prominent at the start, then he contracted it, nearly died and understandably less emotional about the task at hand.

The worrying thing, as has been said already is the state of those that could potentially take lead after him. Sanuk is the only one that I think the country would all partially be on board with. The rest, ** hell.

Priti Patel ?
Dominic Raab ?

Two excellent options.

By the way, are we still upset about Brexit ?
We will sort out a reasonable deal near deadline day. Leaders and big business will sort it, not the piss taker Barnier.
You will hardly know we are out. 👍

Luckily theres no corruption here. Yoyd never see family members and friends of Cabinet ministers being given million plus contracts with no tender exercise, or appointed to key roles on huge salaries.

But you don't live in the UK do you so your opinion means nothing.

Turns out the French sold them sabotaged Exocet missiles that mostly didn't work.

That’s not correct.

The Argies had four or five Exocets in stock well before the conflict with some known to be not working.

The French worked with MI6 to buy all the others on the arms market and then nobbled them before selling to the Argies.

There was a rogue French technical team in Argentina that fixed one or two.

If you look at the stats of missiles not going off it is rather surprising so many failed - or not!!!

I’m calling bullshîte on the o/p.
He’s determined to see this through to a conclusion. Can see him being in for next 3 years

Feel free to believe what you want, but what I posted is definitely true.

When it comes to the idiot BOJO I am defo in the know - just look at my track record 👍

I don’t think there’s been a single leader who hasn’t found the job a lot harder than they were expecting.
The same applies across the world.
Boris may be many things, but he isn’t a quitter.
He will be around until he is either: voted out / ambushed by the Tories / feels he has delivered what he set out to achieve.

Was this US company's taxation down to the EU ?

Apologies if you spoke in jest but do you honestly believe you know anything more about Boris Johnson than anybody else on here who can afford to buy a newspaper ?
