Is this today’s society ?

Poor kid, starving, dehydrated, influenza and no doubt pining for someone to help her. The mother deserves a full sentence, the maximum allowed. I would have said the same treatment, but that would bring me down to her level.

The level of inhumanity and cruelty that one human being is capable of inflicting on another sadly never ceases to amaze me.

Poor girl. A heartbreaking story. I find it hard to comprehend that a mother could do that to her child.

She should be charged with murder, never mind manslaughter. I know that to be convicted of murder it has to be proved to be intentional/premeditated (?), but when the outcome of your actions only had one possible outcome, I’d say that’s intentional.
Poor little girl, RIP.
She intended to be away from her child.
It was premeditated that she hadn't set any care in place for her child whatsoever.
Lock her up and throw away the key.

Almost impossible to get your head round. Truly awful.

However, i don’t think we’ve falllen. We’ve always had isolated events like this, albeit in a slightly different guises. Still, it’s mind boggling.

Her father says "My daughter was missing. She had been missing since the age of 14.", obviously went wrong at an early age.

Where does this thought process come from ? I mean, how bad must her upbringing of been to commit such a wicked act on your own child. I just don’t get it.

The little ‘un was 1 and a half. If the mum (I use that term loosely) can do that at that age, she’s probably been through shit loads of neglect before her final days.
I hope, as a previous poster said, that her fellow inmates still abide by the ‘lags’ code and properly fuck her right up.

Thank you for alerting me to that. I'm not sure it's today's society, though.

Thanks for the post. I'm not at all sure it's today's society though as neglect of children has unfortunately been with us for a very long time.
Thanks for raising the same post twice and offering very little. Not bad for a supposed educated teacher that doesn’t live in the UK. Next time maybe post something that adds to the thread, after all you have been gone for so long.

Just struck me about the question in the OP. No, its not representative of society as a whole.
Agreed but its how we're going.

Seen enough working around Blackpool to realise that there is a breakdown in morals, responsibility and any sort of compassion for each other.
People who are weak get preyed upon, the vulnerable esp children get neglected and the term 'rat race' was never more appropriate.

Bringing kids into the world is a huge enough task without the trappings of modern life, and a desire / push to emulate the role models we see on social media and the entertainment industry. Kids stories like this may be the worst examples but there are thousands more bubbling under the surface, where children are suffering without the media spotlight.

Seen lots of kids sat in their damp and cold houses eating biscuits and crisps for their tea, not having any toilet roll in the bathroom, having their clothes lying on the floor and sleeping on old mattresses sometimes sharing with two others.
Richmond Road, Elizabeth Street, Bond Street, Foxhall Road, Glen Eldon Road (St Annes) and Central Drive to name a few.

Parents all had decent mobile phones and the back yards were stacked with pizza boxes, and you wouldnt even think of using the loo if you needed to.

Haha. Very predictable, Scara. You seem to have had a bad time at school as you always mention the teacher thing. Now, if I picked you up on every spelling or grammar mistake you make you might have a point. But I don't. The first post was a little error on my phone. You've done them, we all do them. Anyway, to go back to the point. I answered your question in the OP. I think it speaks for itself. Good night Scara.

In and out like a flash, be sure to have an opinion on Saturday won’t you.

Disturbing and death by hanging should end her party once and for all but thankfully for every piece of filth like this there are countless decent young human beings which gives one some hope

🙄🤔 is this what today’s society has sunk to?

Post a tragic o/p then pick a fight with another poster for no apparent reason. Sad, very sad

This made me cry 😓 That poor little mite, just 20 months old, left alone by her mother who went off partying for SIX DAYS - and knew damn well she had left her child all alone at home 😡

They should absolutely throw the book at her.

RIP Asiah.

But mobiles are an essential.........................think of all those poor lambs who would suffer severe psychiatric trauma if they were confiscated and had to spend their benefits on what they should be spent on.
