Report says 4 other clubs currently chasing him Blackpool want £4m.

For me £4m is “breaking point”
£5m he’s “yours” wouldn’t like any less but £4m offer would make me start “considering”.
Anything less than £4m NO!!……I hope SS will give Critch at least the start of the season with Jerry.
Anyway we will have to see!
I hope Critch already has some ideas of “targets”.
We need to replace Madine anyway so we should be looking for at least one stricter NOW, plus a central defender and one if not two attacking hard tackling midfielders NOW!!!

dont forget we have shane lavery he will score as many goals as jerry if big striker beside him
unlikely jerry and shane would work together
both really hard working strikers
jerry was money well spent when we signed him however where we have paid money unfortunately he is the only one who has appreciated in value lots didnt or havent as yet worked out

Losing Jerry would be a massive blow, make no mistake but if the funds are used to rebuild our squad, then it's a necessary evil. Here's the key though, we need to have deals for his replacement and other areas nailed down first. If we sell Jerry and end up pissing about, like we did with the Brannagan deal, it'll really cheese me off. Time for Sadler, the scouts and Critchley to make sure we have everything in place ready for pre-season.

If he goes for 4 or 5 million I hope the club don’t allow payment to be split into bits on the never never….we need a good solid chunk of money to do our rebuilding……

No one came in for Clarke-Harris at Peterborough and he's now available on a free 12 months later, I think Jerry is on a longer contract but we won't to miss out on a return on the investment.

Personally think anything around £3m will tempt us.

apparently any player P'boro player entering the final year of their contract is available for transfer. It doesn't mean they will go and imo JCH is well out of our price bracket.
I believe we’re looking at Norburn once again. The price is much less than 12 months ago

So that's not a valid reason then? Find it hard to comprehend that you want to criticise a player who physically gives his all for the team, is a firm fans favourite, deservedly the player of the year and a pretty good goalscorer too.
Plus does great defensive work

I take all that on board but we’re talking about his value. I’m saying that £4m is a fair price and funds six players for us next season. I’m not sentimental about players. Just realistic. He’s overrated in my opinion as a striker.

Have to agree. If we get 4M I would begrudgingly accept that aslong as its reinvested in the squad.
Hopefully learnt our lessen from last season with Bowler.

People are missing the real point. He could go for Brewster's and BFC Footy not see much of it. Bowler and Critchley money anyone?

Essential we have to have the BFC medical room do any medical for the buying club- that way his broken toe nail will render him on deaths door and unbuyable.

I do wonder if as a club we have a reputation as being little old Blackpool who sell their players on the cheap...similarly I think we are little old Blackpool when we are bidding for players and clubs just laugh at our derisory offers...the club definitely need to work on this and how other clubs, fans and even our own fans perceive us.

We should be plucky proud Blackpool always fighting above our weight. If you look at our history we really arent a league 1 club as some suggest and its taken years of mismanagement to make people believe that...we belong in the Championship but we are going to have to earn that right again now.

When Critchley buggered off to put Stevies cones out for a vastly improved remuneration, most on here said they didn’t blame him and they would do the same. Even though I don’t want to lose Jerry, surely he can’t be begrudged the same opportunity?

I don’t think that was quite the reaction Crichley got.

Peterborough promised him they would allow him to move back up north before he did his ACL so I assume it’s probably a ‘nominal fee’ scenario - Critch is a big fan and he is a bloody good player at this level. He was coming in Jan 21 it fell through so no suprise were back in for him

One of our problems, I believe, is we can’t sign anyone over £1m due to wage structure. I’d like to be proved wrong, however, our owner / custodian runs the club sensibly hence we don’t get points deductions.

Unless we get offered ridiculous money I’d be inclined to keep him. He’s nailed on for 25 goals in League One, no guarantee anyone coming in will match or better that.
Keep him and buy the players we need to give him the service he craves

Are you confident we will get those players, we haven't even got a recruitment guy yet, or a CEO or any other board member. You gave me pelters on here when I was criticising Sadler, but for me, on he football side of things, not the infrastructure, he is leaving a lot to be desired and this pre-season supporters will be watching carefully to see how things unfold.
