Jerry to Swansea??

Ite been reported that we wanted £4m and the bulk of that upfront as well. There were 3 clubs in for him, so I'd be surprised if we've taken less than that. All 3 of thoes clubs have just sold players for serious money as well.

Was always going to move on from the moment we got relegated. And so he should as in the right team he will score 20 a season in the Championship.

Decent fee for him and I would imagine he was one of the highest paid players so that’s a decent wedge that can go into the budget for this year.

Yates was never going to be happy to be playing in league one at this stage of his career, he has to start earning the big money now.

At least at this stage of the transfer window, it allows us to invest in the three or four players that we need in the forward line to replace Madine,

Anderson, and Yates.

He isn't suited to the role played by Piroe. I hope for his sake they aren't expecting him to.

No posts from Blackpoolfc, the ITK poster who has used different user names over the past couple of years to try and bullshit everyone into believing the stuff that was already common knowledge was his info and his alone. Where are you? You said he was going to Coventry, you ** fraud. What will your next user name be?? A broken watch is right twice a day.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion but I genuinely think we’ve had the best years out of Jerry - I genuinely can’t see him ever being better than what we’ve seen and wouldn’t be surprised if he only plays in less than half of Swansea’s games and scores less than 10 goals.

So now we can create goals, defend well but can’t score. Let’s hope we’ve been proactive in lining up a replacement. We did not have to sell and I think it’s a little myopic on Sadlers part. Little Blackpool thinking as he could have helped us start well and then gone in January for no lesser fee.

You may be right but I hope he goes on to be a brilliant success. Any set of fans will love his effort, endeavour and never say die attitude.

Without a doubt. That is why clubs won’t have paid over the odds for him. If I was a Swansea or Coventry manager, I wouldn’t be totally convinced he would become a top striker at that level.

always going to happen - wish the lad well . No other player on the pitch puts as much effort in as he does - strange move to Swansea though

If the Sporting Director and the club are properly organised, then they should already have a replacement lined up. As others have said, we need a decent replacement in assp. However, even before this news I thought we already short of a striker, so two may now be required

Anyone thinking he isn't worth this and that, try checking out some of the replied to the £2.5m on social media - the footballing world think it's a steal. We are doing ourselves no favours allowing him to leave for that little because he's worth far more.

He deserves the move.

Gave his all week in week out.

Fantastic attitude and he ll be remembered for a long time I’m sure .

The Junior Seasiders loved him he always had time for them .

Gutted but this is the price you pay for relegation.

Hopefully our current lads can get us back into the Championship again so we can compete with the likes of Swansea like we should be doing.

You never know we might get to resign him in the future could be our new Brett.

Wish him all the best . I hope he does well and rips teams apart .

Cheers Jerry always a 🍊

Come on guys. Simon knows what he’s doing, we put a price on Yates and have no reason to accept anything less this early on in the window. I’d say we would have got between 3.5-4m.

He will have heard whispers.

And if it's 3m, it's more than I think he's worth, but maybe less if a club really really wants him.
Yep.... Unfortunately the whispers were wrong last time around and will most likely be wrong this time around.

Hard to put a value on him to be perfectly honest......

Absolutely gutted to lose him, absolutely cringing for the ‘we’ll keep him’ ‘8million minimum’ whoppers on here.

Not a chance we’ve gotten that much for him.

Sadler has clearly let him go on the cheap like we did Bowler.
