JOEY BARTON GONE

Were the Fleetwood fans standing on coal bunkers to see him clearing his desk?

He's obviously cracked given the intensity of the rivalry 😀

Joey reads Friedrich Nietzsche apparently. As he will be busy today I suggest these two quotes for him to explain the situation:

- "You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist."

- "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."
Just spoke to him, he read it and said Nietzsche is a c*nt.

😂

Hopefully no longer the boards most hated club now the ‘thug’ has gone.
I thought he was a misunderstood genius in your eyes? Remember that thread on paranoid posters? If you think Fleetwood are the most hated club, you're a new contender.

My wife’s hairdressers second cousin let it slip today someone from a Scottish city with a famous bridge is set to come in a player/manager role and or bring back Micky Mellon? 😮

A Blackpool FC loving chairman/owner and a former Pool player as manager what’s not to like about them? 😂
I'd like to see him get Carlisle promoted. Think it would be a mistake to move at the mo. Hearing that things arent too good at the Cods. A mate used the term "toxic"

Allegri.
Pochettino
Wenger
Valverde
Blanc
Marcelino
John Smith (former manager of the Dog and Duck)

All approachable.

I imagine the fact he may soon have an assault conviction to this name may have helped in their decision.

He's a total car crash of a human being.

The assault incident has been hanging over him for ages though.

It may have a factor in his departure but surely he'd have gone ages ago if it was THE factor ?

Peeps in football keep telling me Pilliovich is always after Stephen Thompson of Preston. Has he asked him too many times or could money, big money talk.

Would be a perfect opportunity for Thommo.

Problem is he can stay at PNE as long as he likes despite any changes to their management team.

I love Thommo and I think he would jump at the opportunity but surely he'd be a cheap option ?

For the benefit of the tape, I mean his salary would be lower than most of the other options and not that he would not be up to the job.

A couple of thoughts on Barton.

He has a lack of class in the way he goes about his job. If the manager is the head of the playing club, and therefore its public face, then I would want my club to be represented in a better light than I've heard Joey doing. Take his aftermatch comments about Coleman and his style (or lack of) as a prime example. They might have been his private thought and he's entitled to them but public interviews are not the place to air them. For anyone wondering if he could do a job here, well we have a manager who conducts himself in a way that represents the club as I would want it done in making an impression to an outsider, even when I'm sure he's as disappointed as anyone in what's just happened.

In that post Accy interview Joey talked a lot about the contrasting styles, and what his team were aiming to do. Well, in the handful of games we've played against his Fwd side, I'm yet to see it. Last year at Bloomfield a good example - a team that looked disorganised and run ragged for 80 mins, creating nothing and resorting to persistent fouling and whingeing. Some might say they were created in their manager's image.

Joey was a good player, not exceptional but I can certainly remember his part in the movement/possession lesson QPR gave us a few years back. I'm sure he'll get another job soon enough and I wish him and his philosophy well there. But don't ever let it be at Blackpool until time proven to have completely changed, because I would not want my club represented by that attitude.

I know it probably isn’t the main thing or even a thing at all. Just another notch on his balance sheet.

not sure why anyone would touch him with a barge pole.
