No wonder all those cabinet ministers were rushing to resign. I never knew this. Their conditions of service are not too bad really are they
All government ministers resigning (or being sacked), including the prime minister, are entitled to claim 25% of their salary in severance. This applies to irrespective of the length of office, reason for loss of office, or even if they are reappointed by the next prime minister!
