He did get better. This would be a great signing, bags of talent and can only get better
A bit like Neal Eardley in style, better going forward than defence.Gabriel looked good going forward from right back but could sometimes look a bit lost when played in a starting role a bit further forward so he still has work to do on his game including defensively. Maybe Forest want ready made solutions and don't feel in a position to give him time to develop like we will do. He does seem to have the basic raw materials though that can be polished up over time so I can see the fit with us.
Agreed, as these young uns do and have since football time began, some of our fans struggle with that conceptHe did get better.
I think the key phrase is 'not looking to'. There is a big difference between that and 'not going to'.Gabriel not for sale according to Nottingham Post.

I'd like my right back to be able to put more than 1 good cross in every 5 games and be able to pass the ball 5 yards, without going backwards every single time. You're misunderstanding me. I'm just saying Gabriel wasn't as good a defender as Turton, in League One. So I'd be wary of using him in the Championship, at this stage.
Everybody would like that, obviously.I'd like my right back to be able to put more than 1 good cross in every 5 games and be able to pass the ball 5 yards, without going backwards every single time.
