Jose Mourinho

No,I couldn`t understand why Spurs ever appointed him. He`s so miserable, defensive and very negative ,yesterday`s man.

As pointed out it may be that Spurs think they have a better chance of keeping Kane with a different manager. Pogba certainly couldn`t work with him.

It is only a results based sacking, like any other manager.
The TottINGham results this season haven't exactly been sparkling, to be fair.

The special one gone, you can’t keep blaming your players all the time.
True but they had a great manager in Ponchenetti (sp) and didn't back him when it was needed. Spurs tend to talk the talk but haven't won a title for decades, and won't really get any further with Levy at the helm.

Mourinio is a great manager but as with ManU it was always going to end acrimoniously.

People want to be entertained. Nobody wants to watch parking the bus football. All that attacking talent in that side and he plays defensive football. Why?
I can't understand why he's hardly playing Harry Winks. I think he's a great midfielder.

Almost all mangers have there day, and sorry but this guy has had his. His recent record speaks for itself, any big club offering him a mangers job now must be mad. They will end up sacking him whilst having to hand over a big pay off. His place now should be reserved to being a TV pundit.

No WAS a great manager but that was a long time ago. He`s been very poor at his last 3 or 4 clubs.
I'd say poor clubs who crave the success but don't want to spend the big bucks.
At ManU it changed around completely when they brought Hernandez in irrespective of the manager, but they demanded immediate improvements on the back of JMs reputation.
Ditto Spurs imo.

Tottenham Hotspur are understood to have sacked Jose Mourinho after an ‘explosive' morning where he refused to take players onto the training ground over the club’s proposed European Super League admission

I never liked Mourinho (arrogant) does the above tweet mean he made a stand against this?

You beat me to it by a few seconds 😀

The players at his early clubs seemed to love him but the opposite seems to be the case at his last 4 clubs. As a football manager If you lose your players you lose your job.

I quite like him, I know he plays negative football but he has charisma, he's never got over Guardiola getting the Barcelona job ahead of him and he's spiralled a bit ever since.

Days before a final, can only be do with him falling out with Levy about the new proposals. If yes, I hope we see more standing up. Be great if City & Spurs players refused to play on Sunday.

This was about the super league, 100%. Even if general results aren't great, there's no way you sack a manager six days before a cup final under normal circumstances.

Why would Mourinho make a stand over the proposed super league? Makes no sense. Whenever in the past has he showed any morals over the structure of football.

I don't think they wanted him in charge for the league cup final, he wins it and they have won their first trophy in how long and of course then he can take the 'glory'!

I've never minded him - I met him when I was on a course years ago, coming out of the Marriot hotel at Broughton with the Chelsea squad in the season he won their first Premier league - I asked him for a photo to show the school kids when I got back, he was great as I took ages to work the camera on a new phone. I asked him if Chelsea were going to win the Prem, he said 'Sure, sure'.
he looks a bit jaded these days, but probably struggles with the player power now and not being able to tell them where to go. Ferguson would struggle in today's climate.

no surprise really. He flattered to deceive early in the season. I like it how when he took over the squad was great with plenty of quality and now more recently these same players aren't as good as his previous teams.
Deserves credit for taking Harry Kane to a new level but some of his team selections have been baffling to say the least. Took an age to put Bale in the team and one bad team performance and he was out agian.

Because maybe he doesn't believe in it? What's the point in carrying on the season if they're phucking off?

Pretty obvious and clear fall out over this new proposal.

Right so Jose Mourinho has just become the moral guardian of the game and prepared to sacrifice a cup final for it?
Never saw that coming.

Ah right so 6 days before a league cup final, with a champions league spot still attainable he just gets sacked? Give over.

More chance of that than him quitting of his own free will in making a stand on the structure of football . Do you really believe that?
Have you seen Spurs results and form lately?
They have obviously come to an agreement for him to go and it could be a bit on both sides. He looks a jaded manager lately. He aint no crusader though for the justice and future of football. Never has been. Instant results and himself are all that matters to him and his ego. And, i actually quite like him, hes a personable guy that works hard.

No that's fine, I get all of that. But he's the best manager and most high profile manager Spurs will get.

The timing doesn't make sense. Clearly a disagreement about it.

It's Maurinhos' plan to riches.
Sign for a big club, start off OK then change the style etc, fall in the league table, get potted with a huge pay-off.
Move on to next big club, do the same.
How much has this guy made out of it?
Next club will probably be abroad. 🤔
