Dobs is giving us a breath of fresh air look at that love for this club from MB and SB too its still possible
He loves the club, that comes across to fans and players. Can only help with the connection, getting players and fans on board.Dobs is giving us a breath of fresh air look at that love for this club from MB and SB too its still possible
By the sound of it, the lad doesn't make the effort to keep himself properly in shape.... been nowhere near fit enough every time he's played.Love the passion and also the attacking intent even if it didn’t fully deliver (hard to go from shit to great in one game)
Just one minor area for improvement was I thought he got the substitution wrong when he took Rodgers off. Poveda had gone down with cramp and looked disinterested for the following 5 mins and had given up. We left him on the pitch only for him to later go off injured.
I thought both could have come off sooner.
Also I would have liked him at some stage to swap the wingers as neither were getting any joy against their full backs. So either swap them and see if it made any difference or when we were getting over run second half, make the obvious substitution quicker that he made with Patino coming on (leave 3 up front and additional player into midfield)
I don’t think we will see Poveda again. He limped off and doesn’t seem to have the fire in his belly when it’s not working for him.
What a clownI like Dobbie ,and I think he really wants to be successful , but that was the worst performance at Bloomfield all season .
So do I.Worst performance at home this season?nowhere near the worst
Totally disagree with that
I have watch all the home games ,except Burnley and you like a few other people seem to think a win is a good performance. We were outplayed by the bottom club in the league and if you think that those likes agree with you don't . If I put any comment on here, I get a small group of fans that will always support anything opposite to what I write .What a clown
How many games have you been to?
So you think yesterday was worse than Boro at home? Cardiff at home? Hull?I have watch all the home games ,except Burnley and you like a few other people seem to think a win is a good performance. What does a team of 'big guys' have to do with us not being able to pass to each other and keep making wrong decisions?A lot of people are missing the fact that we were playing a team of big guys.
Dwarfed our lads.
How many of our guys needed treatment on the play?
Three I think, and all went off afterwards.
The lads did well.
I know, I said that in an earlier Post, but the point is made.
The previous game against Cardiff was a lot worse than yesterday for starters.I like Dobbie ,and I think he really wants to be successful , but that was the worst performance at Bloomfield all season . We held on against the bottom club in the league. If he is to keep the job ,we need the impatient fans at the ground and on these websites to allow Dobbie to lose most of the games for the rest of the season rather then getting on his back once we play poorly or get a bad result.
Fans got on both Appleton's and MaCarthy's back within a couple of games. They need to accept we will probably lose most of our last games.
Agreed! Home performances against Hull, Middlesborough, Cardiff to name a few spring to mind!Worst performance at home this season?nowhere near the worst
Totally disagree with that
It looked like the drinking rumours are true as he’s not capable of flat out full half of a matchBy the sound of it, the lad doesn't make the effort to keep himself properly in shape.... been nowhere near fit enough every time he's played.
Sunderland away 1st half was shocking, 2nd half was complete domination from us.What about the awful performances against Sunderland and rotherham away. Was shocking
And you think that a team that is BOTTOM of the table that dominated us in shots and possession allowing us 2 shots on target in 90 minutes and 1 of them went in , is better then those games you mention . Give your head a shake. So you think yesterday was worse than Boro at home? Cardiff at home? Hull?
If you do football is not for you and the reason people probably support the opposite of what you write is because it’s complete and utter nonsense.
We had 2 shots on target against the bottom club and 37% possession .Against Cardiff we had 62 % possession and 4 shots on target . As entertainment goes I think I know which game I would choose . Sadly our defence was not good enough against Cardiff. The previous game against Cardiff was a lot worse than yesterday for starters.
Someone’s been reading the BBC stats and not using their eyes at the matchAnd you think that a team that is BOTTOM of the table that dominated us in shots and possession allowing us 2 shots on target in 90 minutes and 1 of them went in , is better then those games you mention . I watched the match and we had hardly any possession and few chances . The stats I need to get from somewhere to prove a point . I don't look through tangerine tinted glasses . I write what I think is correct and if I am proved wrong I have apologised . Some people don't like the truth sometimes , but that is why I enjoy writing on here.Someone’s been reading the BBC stats and not using their eyes at the match
Wigan's possession was that good it nearly gave us a goal as the centre halves passed to and fro and presented it to Jerry. We had 2 shots on target against the bottom club and 37% possession .Against Cardiff we had 62 % possession and 4 shots on target . They had twice as many shots on goal , They would have had a penalty if we used VAR and apart from the goal we scored ,our other shot on target was Bowlers miss kick.Wigan's possession was that good it nearly gave us a goal as the centre halves passed to and fro and presented it to Jerry.
I can only remember Grimmy having one shot to save after he dropped the ball from a cross. Other than that, they created nothing at all.
We may not have had shots, but we had some good passages of play and interchanges that were let down with the final ball. They never had a final ball.
Haha surely not. Worst performance you are having a laugh.I like Dobbie ,and I think he really wants to be successful , but that was the worst performance at Bloomfield all season . Too busy worrying about his LamborghiniIt looked like the drinking rumours are true as he’s not capable of flat out full half of a match
That’s why he will never make it at the highest level as he’s lacking that absolute commitment to be a week in week out performer.
All that matters is the score.
We were much the better team against Luton in the first half and had more shots etc and look how that ended up.
A win is a win and how we got it who cares all that matters is we didn’t lose the game & with 4 to play we are still in with a hope (a
So in your eyes you can't play well if you lose a game. We had 2 shots on target at home against the bottom club in the division . One was the goal and the other was Bowlers miss kick . They may not have scored ,but had twice as many shots on target against us ,twice the possession nearly and could have had a penalty in the first half. Now you go and have a look at the stats on the games you are mentioning and if any are nearly as bad ,take in account that Wigan are bottom of the division .Haha surely not. Worst performance you are having a laugh.
What about hull, Middlesbrough, Coventry and all the other home spankings we had?
Whichever way you look at the Cardiff game, it was one devoid of attacking intent and atrocious defending. It was probably the most downbeat I've ever felt coming away from the ground. How you can say yesterday's was worse is staggering, quite frankly. So in your eyes you can't play well if you lose a game. We had 2 shots on target at home against the bottom club in the division . Fully agree. Some of the dunderheads on here just look at the result. So in your eyes you can't play well if you lose a game. We had 2 shots on target at home against the bottom club in the division . We all have our opinions.Whichever way you look at the Cardiff game, it was one devoid of attacking intent and atrocious defending. It was probably the most downbeat I've ever felt coming away from the ground. How you can say yesterday's was worse is staggering, quite frankly.
We didn't have many shots, but we defended well enough and were the more threatening side despite any figures you can quote at me.
I never felt they were going to score. Even their manager said as much.
Agreed ,but that does not stop me thinking it was the worst performance at home.if they hadn't have had a three point deduction,we would of been at the bottom of the league before yesterday's game.
At the minute the only thing that counts is goals scored.
Sorry ,but this was not a reply to your post . I have no idea how you ended up with someone else's reply . I just know I am writing a lot after my original post.I literally said in the post you quoted we played well first half at Luton in a game we lost?
Did you watch it? We did have chances to score...?I seem to have disagreement about me saying that the Wigan game was the worst performance at Home all season. I suppose Cardiff could be the worst for some people , but if you take the opposition into account, the match stats and the actual number of times we looked like scoring after the first goal ,I can't think of a match at Bloomfield where we looked like not scoring all game . Even against Cardiff we had chances to score. I can't think of any other game that was as negative as that . Even McCarthy's so called hoof ball gave us at least 3 or 4 chances within the 90 minutes.
Just ignore any negatives, you like every other poster, are allowed their say. I'm used to being lambasted for what I say and it's like water off a ducks back. That said, I thought it was a nail biter of a game from the moment we scored, and the obvious positivity in the team was encouraging, better than the capitulation against Cardiff but still a lot of work to do. Can we survive? Maybe not, but that will be down to 46 games, not the final 4 or 5.I have watch all the home games ,except Burnley and you like a few other people seem to think a win is a good performance.
