Kevin Boroduwicz : a tribute

Well-known member
The BST Committee are deeply sorry to have to inform all our supporters that our friend Kevin Boroduwicz has passed away.

Those of you who have been Members of the Trust since its early days will be very aware of the huge contribution that Kevin made. Both the formation of SISA and its successful conversion into a Trust, are in no small part due to his skill, judgement and industry.

He continued to give the organisation countless hours of his time when it was most sorely needed, serving with distinction as the Trust Secretary in two separate spells.

Those of us who knew and worked with him will not only miss his talent. He was a wonderful colleague ; warm, kind and witty on the personal level, and a man who set the highest possible standards of probity as a professional. That legacy will live on ; and he will never be forgotten for it.

We are sure that you will wish to join us in sending condolences to his family ; our thoughts are very much with them. RIP old friend.

Terrible news to lose such a true friend to Blackpool FC and someone I'm sure loads of you would have met down the years. Condolences to Kev's family.

Truly saddened by this news
Kev and I worked hand in hand in the early days to develop SISA and set up BST
To be honest Kev did it all and made my job as ' front of house ' so easy
He was also my rock when I faced legal action
All Blackpool fans owe him a huge debt of gratitude as he was truly instrumental in creating the club we have now
Rest well my friend - you did a fantastic job that you can be eternally proud of

Sincere condolences to the family.🧡

I worked closely with Kev during the formation of the Trust and as has been said he was very much the driving force…. He was happy to beaver away in the background and do all the legwork without the need for recognition.

On top of that, he was an absolutely lovely bloke and I’m completely gutted to hear this sad news.😔

RIP Kev x

Only met him a couple of times so can't claim to have known him. He seemed quiet and unassuming and was clearly a lovely, lovely man with a strong passion for community and the mighty pool.

Deepest condolences to the family.

RIP Seasider 🧡

Awful news. Talked to him a few times at the meetings. What a very decent man he was and fully committed to the club and cause. RIP Kevin and thoughts are with your family.

What absolutely awful news. I only knew Kevin through his BST role but he came across as a genuine and pleasant guy with a tangerine heart.
My sincerest condolences to all his family.

Very sad to read this news.
Never met him but regularly saw his name during the NAPM era with BST.

This is deeply terrible news. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Kev was a lynchpin that kept everything ticking at SISA and especially the early stages of BST. He always spoke passionately at fans meetings and that was also matched with all the work he put in behind the scenes.

A great seasider, RIP.

I didn't really know him personally. I'd spoken with him a few times at the BST meetings and emailed him over membership queries etc. He was always very professional, efficient, affable and obviously well thought of. He is the sort of person who we all know, the unsung, humble decent guys who are so often taken too early. Rest in peace Kevin.

I can only echo what others have said. He was the unseen driving force behind SISA and the Trust in those critical days. His contribution was as big as anybody’s but he was happy to stay away from the limelight and just get on with all the jobs that had to be done.

But more importantly, he was a thoroughly nice guy who never had a bad word to say about anyone.

All sympathies and love to his family. He’ll be sorely missed. RIP Seasider.
