King Charles

Sausage fingers won't get half the send off her maj got.

He has an impossible act to follow.
As someone who loved the Queen but has nowhere near as much time for the other royals, I've genuinely felt for them these last 11 days.

To do what Charles has done since his mother's passing is incredible, a lot of it seems very outdated but he has done his duty, William looked in a complete daze in the days after his grandma died, but again, performed his duties admirably. Although she was our Queen, THE Queen, she was their mother, grandmother and great grandmother and their grief/mourning has been played out in public.

The worry now for Charles is the monarchy seems very outdated and I'm sure over the next few years several countries will leave the commonwealth.

A lot of commonwealth countries may take a step back from independence as it was obvious the affection the monarchy was held in, and their are not significant costs for them in maintaining status quo, and once out they cannot rejoin.
Closer to home, yes there are costs but those wanting the abolition of the monarchy are massively underestimating tourism, and interest from the rest of the world in Royal affairs

Most Commonwealth Countries are already independent. Only 15 are Realms which mean Charles is their King, the rest are Republics and even the Realms are Constitutionally independent. I doubt if many would want to leave the Commonwealth, there are quite a few benefits and some countries are actually keen to join. Some eg Australia have had debates about becoming Republics but could still remain Commonwealth Countries.

I’ve done loads of 15 hour days.
I didn’t have a shoe polisher, sock provider, valet, driver etc.
Yeh, you've done ten on the bounce coupled with all the grief and stress of losing a loved one.
Give King Charles a ring to let him in on the secrets of how easy it is🤦🏻‍♂️

So proud of Charles. He will make a good king because he has had good guidance from his mother. Strong and Steadfast, Duty first and deeply caring. Camila has been great support for him. What a wonderful person William is and his wife and children too.
You must all put your feet up now for at least a week. You deserve a rest.
God Save the King, Duke of Lancaster.
Long may he reign.

His devotion to the WEF and the plan to transfer wealth from "ordinary people" to the elites, ( via the Green scam) and make us all poorer, is a big concern for me. Unfortunately William has also been indoctrinated with this ideology.

I am banking on him sticking it to the government (whichever government) on sustainable development. We have been clueless on this for as long as I can remember and it needs to change before it is too late. For his own part the Duchy of Cornwall has not looked after its poorer residents. I hope to see William shake that one up. Duchy original biscuits in Lidl anyone........

I'm hoping that Charles, with his love for animals, stops the wearing of real bearskin headwear by his 5 guard divisions.
According to reports, the army's headwear manufacturer buys roughly 100 Canadian black bear skins each year, which could, if they had the desire, be replaced by synthetic materials. Stella McCartney has even offered to design a replacement for free, however, the MOD state the real thing is much better quality.
