Knobbers invading Blackpool

They really do have delusions of grandeur , they seem to have got worse than when we last played them.
Hope this works as a link

Dount they will sell 2100, but if they do they may get a few more?
They have to give freebies to break 10k at home!

Are they the biggest cunts going? Cringeworthy they think they couldn't sell 1,800 tickets and now think they are going to bring nearly 6,000. Won't happen.

Yes to the first part, their banter is also shite, However, they would definitely sell out if they got the whole East it’s tangerine tinted specs to say they wouldn’t.

Granted they didn’t sell 1800 that time for a Monday night on Sky but it’s a totally different feel now, there’s the Covid restrictions of the past 18 months so people desperate to go games, we haven’t played them for years, the last time we did they were on the pitch celebrating like they’d won promotion after a 1st round League Cup win and the culture of away days had changed now due to social media, young lads etc. plus they’ve taken big followings to Blackburn in the past couple of visits.

I can’t stand the cha’s but they would fill it.

Interested to see what happens allocation and kick-off wise,.

I hope we open up the North-East for home fans first but if not give them the lot and let’s fuckin have it.

I like the fact that they’re gonna fill the Blackpool pubs with fans travelling without tickets !!!!

They never used to claim those sort of things, they knew their place .

Laughable

I'm not convinced. It'll be a last day or so thing. They travel terribly bar the odd occasion.

Don't worry about how many they'll give us in "retaliation". Uncle Trev will want as much dough as he can get for the Deepdale fixture so we'll get the full away stand and sell out in a heartbeat, as per.
We could give them the whole of Bloomfield Road if we wanted, they'll still bring less than 2000, equally as per 🧡

Give them 3,000 like Barnsley have got and just tape off the north and south end of the east fir segregation.

Don’t want them playing silly buggers and only giving us 2,000 for the return fixture
Even if they give us 2000 at Dumpdale we'll still get in to watch the match.
When they were building the invisibles stand and it was a reduced capacity I watched from the Dodgy plumbers stand.
They go on about their massive support but have difficulty backing it up.
Against the Baggies at the weekend there were large empty gaps in the stands.

There's NO way the Knobbers will only give us 2,000 tickets.....We (Blackpool) are the only reason they get above 15,000 fans in Sleepdale
And that's when they give us the whole away end of 5,000...

They desperately need the money....and they hope some of their fans may just turn up for the game because it's us......

How many did they take to Blackburn last season......2,500 or something pathetic like that
How many went to their last away match.....300

bites still happen to be facts though. Fact is there is nothing you can say to defend Preston over Blackpool. Nobody ever goes to Preston for a day out.
Well obviously as Blackpool is a tourist destination, although a lot run down from years ago. Admittedly the front is nice, but Jesus Christ , have a walk down Central Drive and the backstreets. Same run down derelict buildings that all towns have.

In their defence they’ve got Avenham park. It’s like the oasis conclave in a post apocalypse movie surrounded by the mentally undead and a wasteland of concrete rubble
The docks are quiet nice though...

Insignificant BLEAKPOOL, the only little town where smackheads caught short wipe the floor before they have a shit !

None last season obviously due to Covid but in 2019/20 they took 6,276 which was the lowest they have taken to Blackburn since they were promoted back to the Championship. They will definitely sell out the entire East if it’s given to them.

Bit of a weird comment, there’s plenty to slag off about them without making stuff up.

Smackhead this, smackhead that, you knobbers post the same thing about us every time you discuss us acting as if something would have changed? Do you ever bring anything new to the table or do you just hope repeating smackhead over and over gets funnier in your warped minds?

I think they will sell out whatever allocation they're given. Yes there was the 1800 thing a few years back but would you want to pay £28 to sit in that shithole Gene Kelly stand?

Not that the East is that much better but if they take 6k to Rovers they'll sell out here. They did bring 5k in 2000 and had more in that we did that day

I think they do raise an important point. We should give them as much as is within our capabilities.

Amazing how many of you think Blackpool is a shithole but you all still want to come for a day out. No fucker ever goes to Preston for a day out. Why? Cos, there's fuck all there.
Hang on a minute, they've got that massive concrete bus station 🤣🤣

Its always the same this each set says look how deluded the other is and we have a few who come out with crap on here.

Surely they will sell out whatever we give them, don't see why they wouldn't.

But bar one guy on there most are typical tourist type opinions of the town. I went there and its a shit hole etc. One guy saying the front is a shit hole and others saying the front is nice but beyond that it's shit.

Yes we know the central area beyond the front is poor, the worst area of the town is sadly highly visible.

But most don't have a clue about the rest of Blackpool. The town centre and front is decent.

Stanley Park area, North shore near the golf club and beyond, south shore countryside side areas etc. Many nicer areas.

I could judge Preston based on Ribbleton and Ingol or around Moor Park...... but that would be daft wouldn't it.

Despite Blackpool being so 'shit' they still seem to come for days out, weird that.

The fact they still describe us as tinpot proves they either don't know how the club currently is run or are just being nobs.

They harped on about attendances for years and went silent recently when we currently had about the same as them in more similar circumstances, despite us not giving thousands away.

They laugh about a football youtube blogger who doesn't support us saying were the best fans in the championship and many who come praise our atmospheres, yet they have often one of the worst.

I've said it before but the views of the small minority of bitter people on that forum don't reflect what all people in Preston think of Blackpool. I know many who love it and like to come.

They were on the verge of war, wanting their owners out then suddenly 2 wins and its all OK again and they want to call us deluded? Come on.

Some of them are just very bitter.

As you say it’s the same from both sides really, been plenty of posts on here recently saying Preston is a shithole etc. It’s just the nature of football rivalry.

I can’t ever remember the nobbers travelling in numbers here. Yes seen the numbers for T’rovers, Barnsley and others, but still can’t remember them being a Everton, Birmingham etc. Cant see the police objecting to it clashing with the busiest weekend n Blackpool with kids half term/ loomies

That's factual though. It is, without doubt, a massive ** shithole with literally no point since it's mills closed, just a sad redundant remnant of a bygone age.

They'd easily sell the entire East out if we gave it 'em, they take similar numbers to Blackburn so they'd do it for Blackpool.

As for taking over the town with loads coming who don't have tickets, load of bollocks. If they could do that, they'd have done it by now - or is their version of that sneaking in and attacking a non-football pub like they did in 2007? If so, no reason they couldn't pull off such a daring manoeuvre again!

They get like 8k home fans a game and maybe a few extra thousand freebies on top. They don't travel away well. I can't see them taking 75% of their home support away.

They've taken 6.5k and 7.5k to Blackburn in their last two meetings at Ewood when fans were allowed in, they might not travel well generally but people come out for the big occasions like derbies - and this is the big one, so much more significant than Nobbers/Blackburn in general, never mind the fact its our first meeting in 8 years.
They'd sell out the whole East if we gave it 'em without question, I'd love to mock them if they weren't able to do it but they would. It doesn't make them special in anyway for doing it as we do it at their gaff regularly but it just is what it is.

We'd never take anywhere near 5.6k to anywhere else but we routinely take around that to Deepdale since the renovation, you can't compare typical away followings or even average home support for big fixtures like this.

Interesting read 🤔
