Lancs Police - Disgrace

Shocking that tonight when we were penned in. Coins, bins and metal bars were being thrown and the police didn’t move an inch!

Was funny when our lot started to try and get back at them by pulling the fence panels out…….police decided they were going to do something then 👊👊

What about the disgraceful throwing of objects when Grimshaw was receiving treatment on the stretcher in front of the Nobbere😡

Hope everyone has made it home safely. Scum fans attacking with bottles etc.
Police need to arrest a few.
Sadly my 8 year old son needed medical attention at the end as a lighter struck his forehead. I’m just hoping he won’t need stitches. Had to get him down from near the top of the stand with the help of others with blood pissing out his head and he was absolutely petrified he would get hit again. Stewards and police just stood there shrugging their shoulders.
Don’t know if any of those who helped me are on here but I am so thankful for your help.

I was screaming at the stewards to try and help, to which I got the response ‘nothing we can do’. Embarrassing. Hope your son is okay 👍🏻

Came out the ground and got directed left by police. Walked straight into hell about to break loose with Preston fans on the other side of two riot vans. Came back the way I was going and was penned in as we all were.

Speaking to one of the coppers and he said they weren’t ready for us because we were let out too early. He admitted that whoever is responsible doesn’t have a clue what they are doing.

Oh dear, I hope he’s okay…

One of the coppers apologised to me on the way out... "big mistakes were made, I'm sorry" he said. Like many of us in our respective lines of work we rock up to put in a shift and are under the orders of complete idiots.
Two police ladies said the same to me as we were nearly trampled by the horses. To be fair they were nearly trampled as well.

** pathetic that two sets of people can’t just shout & bawl at each other & have a bit of banter, then walk our together whatever the result & say see you next season. No bloody wonder we have wars. 😔
I’m not fussed I couldn’t get a. Ticket TBH.
Nobber in peace, totally agree with you Sooty. Banter and a pint after would be the perfect end regardless of the score.

And one of the coppers on the stairs grabbed me for absolutely no reason. Absolute bunch of pricks didn’t have a clue what they were doing all day. I think actually they cause more problems than there actually would be anyway.

Was disappointed not to hear 'You are my sunshine' tonight whilst being kettled tbh

Jeez, I sincerely hope he’s OK. I'd like to think the majority of us nobbers just want some friendly banter. This is not OK & should not happen. Hope everyone who went got back OK.

The after match police operation wasca shambles. It took 50 mins from the end of the match to being allowed to walk out from that side street onto Blackpool Road. For gods sake there were only 2,200 of us mostly genuine fans who were treated disgracefully and herded into that side street and basically kettled which I now thought was illegal. From a copper on duty the operation leader wasva Superintendent Gary Crowe should anybody wish to forward any complaints of which I am sure there will be many.

Sorry to hear that Billy, but sadly it is inevitable that something like that is bound to happen and then what? It puts your son off attending football for life OR he thinks I’ll have a bit of that and has a future in football hooliganism.
Amazing how many people post on here and think it is harmless to through objects.

Can't imagine the actions of their neanderthals will be forgotten in the next game at our place by our own.

Hope your little fella is ok KB and will view it as a little 'battle scar' from following the Mighty.

The Policing was pathetic. Went on a coach; the journey in and delay leaving were a joke.

Absolute shambles of an operation by Old Bill, being penned in whilst the Nobbers chucked stuff over the police vans injuring young kids, how about setting the dogs on any Nobber hanging around the area because clearly he is only there looking for trouble otherwise he would have pissed off home, or even simpler if the police wanted to hurry them on their way let the 2,000 plus Seasiders loose on Blackpool Rd, they'd soon scarper back home in a flash then.

We were penned into a corner up against police vans, stood minding our own business waiting to be let out when some lunatic on horseback thought he was in Game Of Thrones. He sent his horse running straight at us, how nobody got hurt I don’t know. Absolutely out of control. I spotted him before the game and you could sense he was looking for trouble.

Silver Commander was Superintendent Crow lets inundate him with complaints . kept penned in for 50 mins disgraceful . clueless was sent one way then the other then back again .

Jesus Christ, they kept us in until they had cleared all the Preston fans away who were looking for trouble. Barring the odd incident it was a success. Don't get the issue

Nope, easier to keep us sitting ducks for random objects, what looked like a plastic dogs bed, wheelie bin, white stick thing, presumably a blind man's.

The best or worst bit was when we weren't allowed round the coaches onto that street so had to go through the gap in coaches to the same place, just on the pavement rather than the road.

Completely pointless bottle neck.

Have you not read the comments on this thread? A young lad had blood pissing from his head during one of the 'odd' incidents. I have a young son who comes to home games with me who I thankfully didn't take tonight but if that was my lad I'd be fuming!

Mute him. Not nice scenes and totally avoidable.

They will see the operation as success as it prevented and major disturbance and limited injuries. How long we are kept behind a corden is irrelevant.
If they do admit any mistskes all they will say is they have learnt from the mistake and will learn from those mistakes.
How many times do these authorities roll out the same excuse after these incidents.

Really lucky they didn’t cause a major incident in the ground. Completely useless. I actually felt sorry for them at one point. Who trains these kids.

Ten minutes before the end of the game they stopped people going to the concourse for a piss.

The young girl with me was told "Develop better bladder control".

What a set of twats. The assumption is everyone is a hooligan looking for trouble. When they moved the van back, I was near the front, as I'd been sheltering from a shower of stuff thrown by our Nobber friends. There was inevitably a surge forward followed by coppers piling in to push us back, creating a crush, despite some of the coppers shouting to their colleagues that people were getting crushed.

All completely unnecessary and created by their own tactics.

Shambolic end to a shambolic evening.

Again, all it took was for someone to trip or slip and it could have been really nasty.

Again, absolutely no communication and just moving people around by walking at them with police horses.

Coppers at the end by the blockade were actually holding their hands up and admitting it was a shambles.

It's sad to read these comments but it's the same with our East Lands Derby,it does seem to attract the knuckle draggers on both sides.

Firstly I sincerely hope your little boy is ok
Secondly what utter bloody chaos. The police directed us left out of the ground to be met by van blockade to our right and police in horses to our right amongst Preston fans yet the stupid police decide to surge forward on their horses towards the pool fans and push us back I. The ground instead of turning the horses around and getting the home fans out the area instead they just let them throw bricks bottles etcetc. Shepherded back in and round to the side we entered the ground from to where our coaches was only to be met with another police cordon whom wouldn’t let us thru to our coaches yet we were made to go back the other way again and squeeze between to parked up coaches
Clueless police yet again. Felt like another crush waiting to happen and it would have all been cause by the polices inept tactics.
Bloody shocking
Didnt get back to the footy club till around 11.10pm when a match finished 9.45

easiest way is to let away fans out first as there are less of them and big majority are on coaches.
seen it many a time they keep home fans in groups of away fans make their way to certain areas they know the coaches go and stone them but hey police and authorities have no common sense

TBF a lot of the officers outside the ground after were decent and didn’t seem to want to be holding us all in.

It really shouldn’t take an hour to clear 2200 fans tho, especially when I would suggest 2195 just wanted to get home at a reasonable time.
