Last Player you really hated

Am really struggling these days to hate any players - are they all just a bit bland and boring these days or am I getting more placid as I get older? Gregan, Sharp, Peyton .. there just don't seem those calibre of villains around anymore!

Not hate per se but my head nearly departed from my shoulders one time at Richie Wellens. I think it was the clash with Charlie but not 100%.

I had a mild loathing of Ross Wallace also.

It's pointless 'hating a footballer'.
Dislike etc but what's the point of hating someone you've never met?
OK I/you have never met Putin but I hate him for what he doing to a country, but that's different.

Hate is a very strong word and shouldn't be used lightly.
In all honesty there's only one person who I genuinely hate.

Diego Maradona, yes I know he was an outstanding footballer but his cheating played a big role in Argentina winning the world Cup in 86, in my opinion of course

Also Diego Simeone, both as a player and manager

Wouldn't say hate, but a few people who have annoyed me in the game are.

Ben Thatcher
Robbie Savage
James McClean
Dennis Wise
Suarez

Both as a player, and a manager - Scott Parker

It was utterly laughable that he won the 2010-11 player of the year award in the year West Ham and us got relegated.
Simply the result of him coming from the same city as the bulk of the voting journalists and playing for the club that lots of those journalists supported.

And i cannot remember seeing a more self centred pleased with himself ...... on the touchline. I was even pleased when Preston beat them last week, just to see the ** sent off.

For us: Brad Potts. A talented lad but for a lad so young with the physique he has/had - .... section removed by moderator....

The against us column is too numerous as over the years too many players have had only good game of the season against us !!! (Or so it seemed)

Hate ? No, plenty of arseholes that wound me up though. Too many to mention.

Players I have disliked over the years:

Harald Schumacher
Andy Moller
Rudi Voeller
Jurgen Klinsmann

El Haj Diouf
Morelos
Suarez
Diego Costa
Lee Bowyer

All players that expedited the art of cheating.
Yep the cheats, backchatters, sly n sneaky ones are the ones that get my goat

I suppose we could list a whole load of Argentinians starting with Rattin from the 66 World Cup but what about Frank Rijkaard after he gobbed at Rudi Voller that time?

Or the Gernan guy who poleaxed a keeper?

Wild Zaharia really winds me up, he’s got obvious talent, but throws himself to the floor at every opportunity and he never stops fooking whinging !

You beat me to it & I had to rack my brains to think of someone I actually didn't like, hate is a little strong well now anyway. Although I didn't shed any tears when he died.

Why? Lack of talent?
To be honest it’s probably attitude for all four. I actually think Neville is an excellent pundit now so I have changed my opinion n him.

Sterling’s probably started with the way he engineered his move from Liverpool.

Crerand. Stokoe. Both got chinned in the tunnel at Bloomfield Rd. Well done Big John and Budgie.🥊🥊

Oooooooo tell me more about Budgie chinning Stokoe, I did not know that happened.
Pool v Sunderland 74/75 the Micky Walsh goal of the season game. Stokoe was Sunderland manager. Budgie saved a pen and in the tunnel after game Stokoe foolishly kicked Budgie's arse shouting " You moved before the kick was taken !" Budgie turned round and decked Stokoe with one punch. Budgie said he expected Stokoe to press charges but none were pressed. As Stokoe was the aggressor I doubt if any charges would have stuck.

Here's a blast from the past.

Derek Possee. He played for Spurs, Millwall, Palace and Orient.

Without doubt the most annoying player I've ever seen.

I remember in one game in the early 70s I think nearly the whole crowd was chanting - Posse is a wan*er, Possee is a wan*er.

He didn't venture outside London except with an armed guard!
