Lavery Appeal Rejected

Not in the least bit suprised ,just shocked they havn,t added another game onto the 3 the fa have always backed the so called bigger clubs ,its happened to us and other clubs like us in the past and will continue in the future ,think they need some younger ex players on the panel that understand what its like to be in certain situations like this and not just old farts sat in an armchair and always choose to back the officials whether they are right or wrong .

FA = tossers, who are a law unto themselves.
They'll now be relishing fining the club again for failing to control our players etc.
Come on our players and stick it up Hull & the nobbers for the supporters and wee Shane.

Quelle surprise. Wouldn't expect anything less from the FA. Hefty fine incoming for failing to control players (think that should actually be billed to the ref)

The ref should be brought to book for Saturdays inept performance. He won’t be it’s all forgotten now. His second half performance wound up all the players and it’s no surprise at all it kicked off at the end. I hope we never see him again in one of our games he’s not fit to referee Sunday league games. Shame for Shane he definitely played his best game for us Saturday.

It will be a massive rarity that red cards are overturned. Purely down to, if they begin to overturn red cards, they have to keep us a precedent.

Once there is 3/4/5 over turned, questions will start to be asked of the training referees receive. The FA and EFL won’t want to answer these questions. To keep them self away from awkward situations, they’d rather back the referee (right or wrong) than put themselves in a vulnerable situation.

Typical from the bunch of cunts, FA and EFL all cut from the same cloth.

Useless bastards, not fit for purpose.

Where's the violent conduct?

Tossers are probably happy when there's incidents so they get the fine money.

Clueless.

Would have liked to see BFC express their disgust in the statement at the decision.

About time clubs and fans started standing up to this bullshit.

It would be nice to see BFC express their disgust, correct.

BUT, all that would come of it is another fine.

It’s like with post match interviews - managers have to do them, they have to be asked awkward questions about the game. Why don’t referees have to do this?

The minute anyone, player or manager, speaks out against poor officiating they’re slapped with a fine. It’s the harsh reality of football nowadays.

We should just play him anyway and say we don't recognize the legitimacy of a body that failed to do anything about the club being destroyed by a sociopathic rapist and simply close ranks to protect the ineptitude of their officials. When they throw the book at us, we can throw it back, taking their windows out and destroying everything they have with tangerine smoke and fire.

When the morning comes and the fog of war had cleared, the game will be reborn.

This lack of practicality is possibly why I've never aspired to be in charge of stuff and things to be fair... 🤣

I think BFC have a right to express their opinion on the joke of a decision.

Can't fine us for that surely. Free speech....

Can do it respectfully, disagree in the strongest terms.

If it were me I'd be putting BFC cannot fathom how these authorities can be so incompetent.

The governing bodies don’t allow free speech, unfortunately. It’s a joke, but it’s the power they have.

Why? The EFL has just said he's done nothing wrong, and the right team won so alls good.

Well it's the FA on this one rather than EFL, but yeah this is when you know there's something wrong.

Not following their own rules on violent conduct, going against overturned var decisions that were the same are Careys, refusing to ocerturn a clueless referees decision and who knows what you can question without a fine.

So they just have the power to fine wherever they see fit?

They need ousting.

Pissing in the wind with appeals.
FA is a bunch of no marks. Not sure who is on the panel but surely they should be ex players and refs?

Details, details, details...🤣

At one point Cardiff and Swansea got pretty much all their red cards overturned as the appeals were heard by the Welsh FA

I suggest that Matt Scrafton arranges an interview with the EFL official who presides over this process and asks some really probing questions such as Please define Excessive and Brutal behaviour. Please give some examples of each.
Why is holding a players shirt Excessive or brutal ? Why is pushing a player NOT deemed to be excessive or brutal ?
Why does holding a players shirt carry the same 3 match ban as physically assaulting a player ?
I could go on but this really needs to be taken further, not just for the Lavery incident but for all clubs who have and will encounter such nonsense in the future.
We need some legal brains to get involved. Are you free Brett Gerrity ?

It's the FA that review and make decisions, not the EFL, otherwise I agree. They're a closed shop, if they reviewed and provided a response as to why it was rejected, I'd have some respect for them. In effect they just back up referees and have zero accountability for how poor they are.

In the Netherlands, referee are available for post match interviews. I don’t know what they say, my Dutch is crap!

Sooner or later there is going to be serious injury to a player which lawyers in the civil justice system will legally connect to officiating incompetence and opaque systems of review by the games authorities, the result of which will fuck the game as a whole.

Will it fuck. There's too much money in it. They'll definitely just take a pay off to keep quiet.

Or the push, on Thompson, both the one into the hoardings and the chase to start a ruckus after.
Even Thompson's first booking was caused by the failure of the ref to stop the game with Bridcutt's head injury. If he followed the current rules, then Thompson isn't reacting to the perceived injustice.
