League 1 finale

Who's going up with Plymouth and Ipswich?

Sheffield Wednesday would have enough points normally to go up. They are the strongest of the play off teams and I think they will win play off leaving us to play Barnsley, Bolton, Derby and Peterborough

Who gets the last relegation place?

I'm cheering on Morecambe as it's a Lancashire club but they are terrible away winning only 2 all season but they have 3 wins in a row. MK poor this season should be safe but blew and 4-1 lead last week. Cambridge have the easiest game V Forest Green. I think they win and the other 2 not win and Cambridge stay in league 1.

As I said on the other thread fingers crossed MK go, horrible stain on the football map.
Agree on that. They should have formed a new team for the new town and built it up through the leagues. They’d have slowly built a fan base and be accepted.

They’ll never ever shed the tag of a franchise team no matter what happens now.

different league, but Notts County just gone one down. Will seem very unfair if they miss out after getting over 100 points but that's the play offs for you.

I’m not keen on MK as a club, but they are 21 miles from my house whereas Cambridge is a pain on the M11…the next 30 mins or so will be interesting for my travel plans next season.

Watching the Sheff Wed game and Barry Bannan has still got it, one loanee I’d have loved for us to sign back in the day

He's been very good for Lincoln from what I've read, their fans want to keep him permanently.
We should extend his contract, played 30 plus games at Lincoln and is a first choice midfielder. If nothing else would be worth a fee if we sold him as still only 25.
Not Championship standard but ok in L1 and scores goals

Wednesday v Derby has been dull as dishwater.
Been flicking between them and Barnsley v Posh.

If this is the standard of the top of league 1 then I'd fancy Foxhall u11's!!!

Do they have two mock trophies? One at Vale Park and one at highbury, incase either team were to be champions on the day? I imagine the actual trophy is given to the club later

Shame for Morecambe.
Good result for the Cods 2-2 against already promoted Ipswich.
13th place which considering many on here said they were going down at the start of the season is very respectable.
Poor Derby another season in league one.

So last season's relegated championship teams finished 4th, 6th and 7th in league one - and we got more points this season than all three did when they were relegated (although Derby had a better record and were only down on points deduction). There's a big gulf in class between the two divisions, and if we get the managerial appointment right, then next season could be a good one.

Poor Derby have been robbed of a play off spot by atrocious refereeing

In answer to your first sentence, I'd unfortunately have to say Bolton ☹️

Really? Not been watching any footy as staining the decking. 🙄🫣
We think we've got dross refereeing in the Championship, well, we've better to look forward to in league 1🤦🏻‍♂️
Not only was it NOT a penalty for Wednesday the Derby player shouldn't have been red carded for the alleged challenge.
Even if Posh had won the game against Barnsley a 0-0 at Hillsborough would have seen Derby into the play offs!!

Hope Derby get promoted with us next season

tough on accy and the shrimps. both have worked miracles to stay in league one as long as they have.
It's the first time in their history that Morecambe have ever been relegated. Which is some achievement, over 103 years.

Totally avoidable too, all things considered.

Personally very happy Cambridge stayed up. Be a good away day for those that come down, a definite weekend break game (probably be a Tuesday night in January!!) Loads of good pubs and places to eat and lots to see.

SO heres the thing. MY son was in the hospitality with a business contact at Fleetwood v IPSWICH rang me earlier in the day. SAID itwas agood game to finish of the season for TOWN. earlier this season he had a hospitality wiTH BFC. we do lads and dads a few times a year with BLACKPOOL. GOOD luck with that son. if it gets him more business then so be it.
