Liverpool V Real Madrid CL Final match thread.

My father in law 74, brother in law 55 and niece refused entry to the ground.

Official tickets snd travel. Not surprising there’s trouble. Interesting to hear what they say. 😡.
Modern fecking football for you!

Edit - just heard, they got in after 35 mins. Hope it’s a good second half!

Agree to a point but it could have been a damn sight quicker if ticketless fans hadn't tried to mingle with those who had tickets And looking at the numbers there, I'd suggest there were a significant number not having a valid ticket. And history shows you it's a common occurrence with ticketless Liverpool fans.

How could you see who had a ticket and who didn’t have one 20’s?
Are you relying on the Twitter videos or are you actually in the queue in Paris? 😉
We all know the bindippers have form but ……

How was he offside if Robertson was behind him ,I'm lost with rules now.

Anyone see some similarities with us, I know we have Critch and we try and play a similar ish way, albeit at a lesser level, but some of the wastefulness is similar so far 🥴

The keeper was ahead, its said as the last defender because the keeper is always back in most situations, but its usually the keeper and the last man.

Very few times the keeper is more advanced than the defenders so it doesn't come up too often.

Any stories of Real fans being kettled, running past security, tear-gassed, fans getting in late etc? 🤔

Should've been a goal btw. Looked like Robertson knocked it on to Benzema

Usual story. Madrid being outplayed at half time, but confident they will score in the second half. If they do it again it will be four times this season in this competition.

For me the keeper played it on to the RM player who was block tackled and the ball came of two Liverpool players back to Benzema. So in effect one Liverpool player played it on to the other. So provided he was originally onside for me it was a goal.

That's what I thought.

Lancs police there?

Disagree about the goal, knocked on by a Madrid player, rebounded off 2 Liverpool players but not intentional. Thats the rule has to be intentional.

Simple when applied.

Except that when the Madrid player made contact Benzema was offside. It doesn't matter how many defenders touched the ball after his first touch.

Yep definitely offside. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t understand the rules.
I don't understand the rules.

I've also got Scousers to win, both teams to score and Benzema and Salah to have 3+ shots on target between them so might be a bit swayed by that.

Can't believe they have Peter Walton as the bloody expert, I'll never forgive the bastard for ignoring the assault on Luke Varney when we had Man U 2-0 down
He is the least of our problems. Michael Owen has nearly put me into a coma he’s that boring. Hence posting on AVFTT.

The reality of that goal was it was pathetic from Liverpool who had multiple chances to clear it and Alison just had to grab it.

But they panicked so much they nearly blew it.

I could ask you how do you know they all had tickets? As you say yourself they do have form. So a reasonable assunption based on past history.

There have got to be 2 defenders between attacker and the goal. Usually the goalkeeper is one of the 2 defendersbut when the goalkeeper is ahead of the ball it will then need to be 2 outfield defenders.

How long have you been watching football ? :)

I remember watching a Seasiders Podcast and the presenter didn't even know this offside rule.
The rest of the panel had to explain it to him.
And he is manager of a Poulton kids team🤣

Mane and Salah have been so poor

Also Liverpool fans anonymous
Not showing what we've seen in the prem so far.

Yeah the odd chirp up every now and then, but no consistent noise so far.

Don't they get huge praise for their atmospheres? ... started again now, Nobbers won't be able to hear them though.
