Madine close to return

If Rhodes is going in January we could do a lot worse than getting him back on a pay and play deal.

Kouassi and Lavery out until at least Feb.

Rhodes likely to be recalled in 4 weeks.

Beesley seems a good lad but if we’re relying on him to score then we should be looking over our shoulders not up the table.

That leaves Joseph. Whether Madine is returning or not we are very light in the striking department.
In regards to the Beesley comment, he's a much more likely candidate to score than Madine. Madine's goalscoring record is pretty poor for us, it was what he offered outside his goals and allowing players like Yates to flourish alongside him that made him an asset.

Beesley scored 5 goals in 3 games recently. Which is close to what Madine offers you over a season. The 🐝 is also showing signs of improving his overall game IMO, whether he'll become consistent enough I'm not sure.

Perhaps he's developed a bit of pace since he was injured, as he managed to "run away from the police" 😂
Except he didn't manage it did he? 😆

"Madine was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months, with 250 hours of unpaid work at Newcastle Crown Court.

"Madine was charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving in a public place without due care and attention, failing to stop after a road accident, failing to stop when required by a constable or traffic warden, and failing to give information relating to his ID when required. And for impersonating a footballer for nearly 20 years whilst hiding in plain sight.

He’s had a decent career and played some some decent clubs.

I suppose its like people impersonating being a Blackpool fan but not attending any games…
One gets paid and uses up a squad place, the other doesn't! So nope, totally different!

Only came on here to congratulate @td53

If we don't make the Playoffs your blogs will at least be as interesting with the goal machine rightfully back where he belongs.

Imagine the prose we will get when Critch plays both Madine and Kouassi up front together. 🤤

When all public servants are off sick, due to the stress of the job, don't pay them. This no work, no pay could catch on.
And who, precisely, is going to be left to pick up the pieces when the 'saintly' body of public servants are left truly cowed by the collective nervous breakdown they will inevitably suffer as a result of such cruel, unthinking actions?

It was suggested that we consider Madine on a pay as you play basis in view of the fact that we already paying good money to injured players. As the poster was an ex civil servant it seemed an obvious comment.

Eh, if he's a positive influence in the dressing room and willing to play for 1-2k a week and incentives then i'd have him, like others have said he gives us a potentially valuable option against teams who keep things tight and don't let us play.
