Where you going skiing Lime?Hi any suggestions for travel to Manchester Airport from Marton, (return) Three people, three bags & a large ski bag & 3 boot bags, unlikely an estate car will do it, needs to be a mini bus? & an idea of costs these days?
my guess is Whistler in Canada. I love reading his posts about it. It's definitely on my place to do list.Where you going skiing Lime?
Have you thought of going by train, maybe £1 tickets are available.Hi any suggestions for travel to Manchester Airport from Marton, (return) Three people, three bags & a large ski bag & 3 boot bags, unlikely an estate car will do it, needs to be a mini bus? & an idea of costs these days?
Mine too 20s but my knees are absolutely fcuked now!my guess is Whistler in Canada. I love reading his posts about it. It's definitely on my place to do list.
my thumbs up isn't about your knees being fcuked up.
It's a funny thing this, Forty/fifty years ago when I was in my late teens and twenties something like skiing wasn't even on my radar. Not in a million years. You move on in life and reflect. And yep in hindsight, is skiing something I should have tried and maybe loved[ if I 'd been able to get the hang of it]? Yes I think so. But I'm too old now. So thanks for your kind offer but I think I'll pass.
Edit to add Ive still got my skis and boots if you want to buy them 20s?

Oh me and the missus love the great outdoors and walking the world over, but skiing as a new hobby is perhaps pushing it a bit. It's never too late to enjoy the great outdoors, mountains, snow, beer, did I mention beer?
My back & hip isn't great, but I must ski, even if it's quite gentle this Yr, I love the mountains, snow, skiing, the whole experience... I can't not go, no matter how much pain I'm in.....my thumbs up isn't about your knees being fcuked up.

Enjoy Lime, l believe it’s good skiing thereBanff Canada
You would have loved at 20s! There’s no comparison to being on the top of a snow covered mountain it’s breathtaking especially in February when the sun is normally out, clear blue skies and still minus degrees. A lot of people go who can’t ski for various reasons just for the scenery, a walk and sit outside the restaurants. It's a funny thing this, Forty/fifty years ago when I was in my late teens and twenties something like skiing wasn't even on my radar.
