As Thompson seems to be the latest BFC player to get it in the neck, a thread about BFC players who have struggled to win fans over.

Many cannot wait to show him the door, strange other clubs value him.Virtue seems to be another that the majority of fans have written off
No complaints about effort or work rate, but the Championship was probably a level too high for him.Neil Bishop. Although I thought he was pretty decent!
Beattie at Fulham, aaaah!!!!!James Beattie and Andy Reid from our brief Prem experience, would have, added Malaury Martin but I do not think he ever existed.
To think we had him for two years and then John Burridge!! Both massive characters. And loved by The Kop.Sir Harry Tomson would have laughed in your face and continued to conduct the Kop choir.
He was absolute shyte.Neil Bishop. Although I thought he was pretty decent!
I used to post a lot on BHS before it's closure and I don't think there was a more polarising player during that timeHe was absolute shyte.
He was played on the right wing, left wing, right back, centre forward, and only occasionally in his main position in the centre of midfield, I don't think there are many players who would've impressed being used like that.He was absolute shyte.
100%erNeil Bishop. Although I thought he was pretty decent!

Yeah I wouldSir Harry Tomson would have laughed in your face and continued to conduct the Kop choir.
Forbes wasn't a bad League One player. I think he was our MoM in the first game, away at Brentford. Unfortunately he was a very insecure man and he felt somewhat hounded by the fans.As Thompson seems to be the latest BFC player to get it in the neck, a thread about BFC players who have struggled to win fans over.

Keith Southern used to get torn to pieces on the old site, yet he was reliable and a bloody good tackler. Southern at his prime would be the first name on my teamsheet. Some deserved and some not:
McMahon Jr
Brian Reid
Ian Harte
Kirk Broadfoot
Richard Kingson
Keith Southern
Even Richard Keogh to begin with

I remember him really impressing for Swansea against us and then watching him in tangerine and wondering if they’d pulled a fast one and sent us a lookalikeForbes wasn't a bad League One player.
