I'm excited because footy season starts today and i'm flying to somewhere called Kavala at 7am tomorrow.

After 40 or so of these first day of the season events I'd say I'm probably around a 6.5 /7
The rain certainly doesn't help !
A comfortable win would definitely help to blow the memory of last season's events away though .

Just delighted to be back in the routine of heading over to the Gold Coast and spending some time with my family and getting to the football with the old man. The older I get the more I’m recognising these are the things in life I’ll one day miss most greatly. The opposition, league and even the result today are by and large irrelevant. That being said - a solid 3-0 win and a dominating performance would be most welcome !

I can’t wait, it seems such a long time.
Curious and hopeful.
You get to know players so well and what they can do. Or at least we all think we do. You can almost imagine how a game's going to go, as long as the team show up on the day.
There's been a big handful of changes in the squad, and no one knows yet what Critch will do with them. Or indeed how many of them start.
The bowls circuit is alive with discussion on how we can rule the middle of the park this year. But until the teamsheet then how they line up, it's all conjecture.
It's a new getting to know the lads period again.
All assuming of course that I've downloaded the app thing right and I can get in!

Quite right, Burton aren't that bad. They ended last season very strongly and have strengthened their squad since then. This is not a simple game against nonentities, we'll have far easier matches to come.Pool 8/15 and Burton 9/2 they’re not that bad are they?

I am hopeful rather than confident..I think we are still 4-5 quality players short and that is disappointing…it would have been nice to go in fully confident..apprehensive of the first team selection and I sincerely hope Lyon’s and Trybull start

I’m looking forward to streaming it subject to getting a decent signal. Already had a soaking on the early morning dog walk. Think I’ll test the firestick & see if it’s a goer or not. Couldn’t be there today & no one I know wanted my ticket. It’d be great if we hit the ground running, but I’m sure Burton Albion feel exactly the same.
