Meanwhile Over At Wonderland: Final Win For our Long Suffering Terry😎

He's great to watch, and to be honest he makes some good points there. You do wonder, with a structure like that, who is making the investment plans and setting the overall strategy for that club.

I'll be watching out for their result on Saturday. 😎

Best football Vlogger in my opinion, he's a natural and fair minded as well as brilliantly funny.

I do wonder that when he turns his camera off if he walks to the door in the corner and goes through into an oak panelled study with a roaring fire and an exquisite single malt waiting for him on his antique desk. He discards his Sunderland regalia and changes into his hand made cotton shirt, silk cravat, Saville Row tweed suit and raises a glass to the stags head on the wall and says "Well Terry, another fine performance, if I say so myself." I like to think he does.

There’ll be a shareholders’ agreement which includes clauses dealing with executive management. So, in return for KLD buying into the club, he was given ‘full executive control’ even though he doesn’t own more than 50% of the shares. From what I’ve read, it doesn’t sound as if the three ‘legacy’ shareholders have Board representation, which will also have been a clause in the agreement.

But an agreement like that will normally also say that a pre-agreed list of ‘major decisions’ need shareholder approval. That would mean big things like selling or redeveloping the stadium or - crucially - major funding decisions. In all likelihood, the shareholders are obliged to put in more money (in proportion to their ownership percentages) when a decision has been reached by the executive management of the club - but if shareholders have a right of veto over the really major stuff, presumably including major transfer fees, you can see why the fans feel the club is still in their grip.

Helpful stuff!

The structure was covered on "The Price of Football" today. Maguire was asking why, if the major shareholder is as loaded as he claims to be, he didn't take a bigger share of the equity and/ or throw a major wedge of money in anyway.

They are in danger of sliding out of the top six altogether unless they get a grip. Huge game on Saturday.

Yep, from where they now stand it almost feels more likely than not that they'll come up short again. But maybe they'll regain some sort of grip again and their current points total is a solid base to make the playoffs if their results are at least decent for the rest of the schedule.

Interesting point about why KLD didn't put in more. In the end it's about appetite for risk, I suppose, and although the family is loaded he's basically riding on his daddy's money - and billionaires often seem to watch the pennies (relatively speaking) just as carefully as the less well-off.

I know there's been some 'why all the interest on Sunderland?' sniping on here, but honestly the boycott years and all the court sessions etc have opened up a new level of appreciation of the football scene for many Pool fans and that's no bad thing. I'm now genuinely engaged with how Sunderland get on for the foreseeable - and Terry's vlogs are an excellent (and very entertaining) way of accessing supporter sentiment as the corporate stuff unfolds.

Well there you go Robbie, another home loss and they are out of the top 6 having played more games than anyone else. In fact I think it's a bit more serious than some may see. Just 5 points from the last 9 games is relegation form they are only going to go one way as it stands.

I am sure Terry will tell us how it was!!

It’s a really interesting league to follow, nip and tuck with lots of clubs of various sizes with a shout.

Such small margins as well. Sunderland at 1-1 today could have gone third with a winner. Instead they concede and fall out of the playoff places.

It always seems to me that you have a history of bottling things, the only way you get out of a league is to lead from the start so the anxiety stays at manageable levels when you have a bad patch.

Having failed to do that, they will do well to get into the play offs. If they got there, they would be far better off playing someone like the Massive whose fans will also put pressure on them rather than an Oxford or a Wycombe.

Have to say I scroll through…it’s a bit late to watch it all…but you just have to laugh😉……he’s well worth a watch but the worst his club are the more I enjoy it.

I do not think he has a very high opinion of the defence, amazed he thinks playing 3 shit defenders will get a better result than 2,shit defenders, so his argument sort of falls down there.

They’ve signed some pretty average players, tbh
I think part of the problem is players are worried about a backlash after they make a mistake. We could give them lessons in supporting the team, it actually exacerbates the problem when they get a big crowd, it was telling that Will Grigg performances improved when he left.
Bet Embleton regrets signing that new contract now

Their early season form was based on that system and the previous manager got the sack for abandoning it.
They have only won something like two games with a back four and that has led to them not being top or challenging for the top place.

Another medical drama at Sunderland last night. Apparently, a 40m hold up when somebody had a cardiac arrest but thankfully stabilised before he was taken to hospital. Terry puts it into perspective.
