That’s another classic! ‘We’ve got fookin Bart Simpson in our defence!’
Can't even bring himself to speak until 1 minute 17 seconds in!!!
8 mins 45 seconds "Preston aren't a team that's getting to the Premier League".
That made me chuckle too.☝8 mins 45 seconds "Preston aren't a team that's getting to the Premier League".
You know, we have all been there haven’t we and you could honestly laugh or cry with him! Can't even bring himself to speak until 1 minute 17 seconds in!!!
The shit has really hit the fan with that news. It’s easy to laugh but at least he cares about hisClub as much as anyone else in footie - top character
Thank uThe shit has really hit the fan with that news.
Best football Vlogger in my opinion, he's a natural and fair minded as well as brilliantly funny. He's great to watch, and to be honest he makes some good points there. You do wonder, with a structure like that, who is making the investment plans and setting the overall strategy for that club.
I'll be watching out for their result on Saturday.
There’ll be a shareholders’ agreement which includes clauses dealing with executive management. So, in return for KLD buying into the club, he was given ‘full executive control’ even though he doesn’t own more than 50% of the shares. From what I’ve read, it doesn’t sound as if the three ‘legacy’ shareholders have Board representation, which will also have been a clause in the agreement. He's great to watch, and to be honest he makes some good points there. But an agreement like that will normally also say that a pre-agreed list of ‘major decisions’ need shareholder approval. That would mean big things like selling or redeveloping the stadium or - crucially - major funding decisions. In all likelihood, the shareholders are obliged to put in more money (in proportion to their ownership percentages) when a decision has been reached by the executive management of the club - but if shareholders have a right of veto over the really major stuff, presumably including major transfer fees, you can see why the fans feel the club is still in their grip.
Yep, from where they now stand it almost feels more likely than not that they'll come up short again. But maybe they'll regain some sort of grip again and their current points total is a solid base to make the playoffs if their results are at least decent for the rest of the schedule.Helpful stuff!
The structure was covered on "The Price of Football" today. Maguire was asking why, if the major shareholder is as loaded as he claims to be, he didn't take a bigger share of the equity and/ or throw a major wedge of money in anyway.
They are in danger of sliding out of the top six altogether unless they get a grip. Huge game on Saturday.
I think part of the problem is players are worried about a backlash after they make a mistake. We could give them lessons in supporting the team, it actually exacerbates the problem when they get a big crowd, it was telling that Will Grigg performances improved when he left. They’ve signed some pretty average players, tbh
Their early season form was based on that system and the previous manager got the sack for abandoning it.I do not think he has a very high opinion of the defence, amazed he thinks playing 3 shit defenders will get a better result than 2,shit defenders, so his argument sort of falls down there.
Pleased for Terry, I said in the Tuesday Night Footy thread that I was starting to worry for the fella.A happy one.
