Millwall v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 28.08.21

There have been some encouraging signs and good spells in games. Not confident that we won’t concede but I fancy us to bag a couple and get that first win in front of a raucous away following.

Already down here enjoying Windsor. I'm taking Mrs Halifax tomorrow, her first game since Cardiff at Wembley. Maybe a good omen. 👍
 
Millwall have had a poor start to the season; hopefully Kenny and Kev will be in the mid-field.
0-2 to the Pool & our 750 will outsing the hooligans of the Den.
 
This will tell us where we are, both teams have the same record so far. I think we need to win this and I'm going for a 2-0 away win. But if we lose, this will be a big blow ....
 
It’s a must not lose game and Critchley knows that. I just hope that he doesn’t set up not to lose. Let’s hope we come out of th blocks for a change and go at them from the start, instead of playing catch up in the second half.

Haven't forgotten how everyone, including Arsenal were saying it was better for Ballard to go to Millwall over us to play in a team that will be more competitive in the division. Want us to win this badly but in truth I have no idea, know nothing about them other than the Ballard connection.

Hopefully we can get a good atmosphere going like last week at Bournemouth and spur them on, big game for us this.

I'll say 2-1 pool.

having said that he was great for us last season Nd I wish him well in all but 2 games this season - Mr Yateswilltesthm !
 
Having read the background to Ballard's move to Millwall it's somewhat baffling that it was seen by all as the next progression for him.

I could have understood had it been a West Brom Fulham or Bournemouth for example but this division is so tight you would have thought familiarity would have been a bigger sway in proceedings.

You would be hard pressed to see it as anymore than a sideways diversion.

I think most of us would have preferred Grettarson? Maybe Keogh will play better alongside a more dominant CB like Big Marv though?

Agree, it's our strongest, maybe gretarsson but not fully fit. It highlights the obvious about the need to strengthen.
 
Well whatever happens today we won't go in to the International break bottom! Be lovely if this 9 point deduction was imposed on Derby as well and Sheff United get dicked at Luton!
 
With confidence within the squad rising feel sure we are going to get a result sooner rather than later. Shame Hubby missing, not convinced by Keogh.
