That’s a good shout. I remember the Fort Lauderdale game well, with Banksy in goal for them, sadly with only one functional eye by then! We certainly won comfortably, but my memory isn’t telling me quite as many as 10 goals? If it was, that would take my highest up by a goal, assuming friendlies count. Not read all replies so apologise if its been mentioned
I seem to remember beating Ft Lauderdale Strikers 10 -0 around 1975? with a certain Gordon Banks in nets...
Also, we beat T'Rovers 5-3 one week, the next we beat Orient 5-3, were second in the old second division, then got relegated the same season....
30 yrs.... you know the rest...
But my first game... The mighty 5 Watford 0 about 1969/70?
Congratulations on your 150 birthday, I must say you are looking remarkably well. Was at Abroath that day 36 past Bon accord
Did you enjoy the half time smokies? Was at Abroath that day 36 past Bon accord
Yep and we were winning 1-0 until about the 41st minute (Andy Morrison ?)Lanerossi Vicenza for me as well.
Was no one at St. Andrews in 1994 , 7-1
‘Twas Jan 71-72 - I think a young Steve Sherwood was in nets ! They got relegated and fell apart last 20 mins - they beat us early in the season 1-0 at Vicarage !Not read all replies so apologise if its been mentioned

The 5-4 was v Brentford at homeSeen a few 5-3's etc and the 7-1
6-3 at Swansea is the highest for me
Think I was also at the 5-4 in 1979 but memories fade
They also substituted their keeper shortly into the 2nd half at 6-0 I think - he got a great reception from our Kop fans and his first touch was out the back of the net and his 2 nd touch the same !Malcolm Hill scored two v Lanerossi
Two things stuck out - the most extraordinary OG I have ever seen - 25yard volley that screamed into the Kop end and was their sub Rossi the famous Paulo Rossi - I think he was
Wow! That must have been a slog ,well doneDrove to Rome, left Thursday night back home late Sunday, some weekend!
Blackpool Rangers 17, Fleetwood Gym 0.u12 bjff 13-0 Brooklyn
you did say any game. I was in nets for Brooklyn that day.
And an absolute stunner it was, just a shame it was a mere consolation.Hmmm, not sure about that? Andy Brockbank definitely got a late goal in a 2-1 defeat at Deepdale early 80's, FA cup game I think. Must have been Gordon Simmonite if Brockbank only got one goal for us.
Didn’t see it myself I’m afraid, was only young at the time and my Dad insisted on us leaving with 5 minutes to go, heard the roar as we were leaving the ground?! Have never left a game early sinceAnd an absolute stunner it was, just a shame it was a mere consolation.
