New BFC Anthem [possibly!]

I think we need a new rocking anthem for when the players come out or even pre that. None of your Mull of Nexentyre , or Sad All Over
rubbish !

May I humbly suggest : Get Down On It by Kool and the Gang ! Don't laugh [ ok you can if you want ]. I think it's a simple, repetitive ditty that can be adapted by our fans... eg Blackpool FC,Blackpool FC,clap clap, get down on it [see we can keep some of the original lyrics, whatever they mean !] I think it's a real upbeat ditty that even our younger fans could embrace.

Now would be the time to clip a video of said ditty but I'm rubbish at tech, maybe someone could help? What do you think musical aficionados ?
 
this type of thread has been done a good few times before. As for the suggestion, well it's not for me. The song is ok but it's not got that powerful hook that stirs up the emotions. It's just a little ditty pop song. The problem with coming up with something anthemic is recognising the difference between our older supporters who'll know a lot of the old stuff but less of the new and the younger ones of our fan base where the opposite applies.
 
You can't hear anything from the awful pa system so it doesn't really matter what's playing. I've actually no idea if we have ought at the moment but it's certainly not very exciting if we do. I always liked Sandstorm personally as it went well with the gold coast or Battle without Honor.

One afternoon the band conductor up on his stand
Somehow lost his baton - it flew out of his hand
So I jumped in his place and then conducted the band
With my little stick of Blackpool Rock
 
If you're going for something classical style that builds up, you need something from someone like scorched score music

 

Biggest song of 1953, and even more specifically it was top of the charts when we won the FA Cup. Has that old, anthemic quality that modern songs don't really have anymore. It is far too late in the day for it to happen but that should be our "anthem", it would be completely unique to us as well.

Think of the big wins, promotions and the like where that would have been belted out in unison at full time. Missed opportunity IMO, Glad All Over was a bit cheesy in retrospect and is Palace's anthem.

Yet another reason for us to do all we can to fill the stadium, look how special it is when we have fans all around.

Fans on 4 sides gives us that extra lift in support.

I'm sure we have plenty of talented people on this board who could cook something up for an anthem that would be ours.

Base it in a minor key for impact, easy to remember words that mean a lot the crowd.

3 beat's to the bar for more impact and a rousing chorus with repetitive words so that all can join in.

Come on, lads and lasses there must be someone out there.

If there are more than one, iet's have a competition so all can select their favourite.
 
Diggers, can you imagine the uproar if the team were to enter the stadium carrying either the St George flag or even the union flag. One would have the woke brigade up in arms claiming its racist, the other would have sections of our Scottish friends up in arms because they want independence.

Curryman puts on tin helmet and awaits a bombardment.

Anything we play will be shite because our PA system is absolutely garbage.

As for the above, my preference would be something like "Clubbed to Death".Clubbed to Death
