New manager

I've heard a whisper of a double act of John Durnin and Rory Prendergast with John O'Kane as u21 coach.
Naughty boy Wiz - BFC players from the dark ages!
But just in case you're slightly serious here's Durnin's credentials....
He's no management experience & only did 3 month as a coach at Southport in 2017!
In addition:
In 2019 he was convicted of common assault, impersonating a police officer and a racially-aggravated common assault after two incidents in August 2018 – in mitigation he claimed to have been 'emotionally unstable' after discovering his wife of three decades had cheated on him; he had another previous conviction for common assault after a road rage incident in 2015.

Scarecrow would have thought him a good appointment 🤣

It wont be easy to get Wellens, Orient will want to keep him but he does fit the bill for me.
However the Board are in a difficult position at the moment and cant afford to get it wrong again.
So give them there hero !
There would be a lot of interest from the fans especially in season ticket sales for Charlie Adam. I think
the key issue is if he can bring a good experienced No 2 with him it could be doable !. The fan base
would certainly back him. I think the Board would consider this type of appointment.

Ideal.

Could be a dream team of Brett Ormerod and John Hills . But only if they can combine it with their parcel delivery round .
Will have to be a job share

Can’t see the club forking out big compo to the likes of Evri and DPD to secure their services

I’ll be honest all talk of a new manager is distracting

Concentrate on Mick and if he wins most games from now til the end of the season and keeps us up offer him the job

This young hungry manager stuff is a risk
How about an old very hungry boss... Steve Evans😂

I have been struggling to think of a realistic appointment of manager off the top of my head. If we aren’t going to go back to Critch then could Danny Cowley be an interesting option?

He’s had success in his career albeit at a lower level and he won manager of the month a few times when at both Huddersfield and Portsmouth so he can at least string results together.

Do we really think we'd pay orient or in fact any team compensation
When spending money on the football side of the business has been pretty poor ?
I'm sure it will be somebody out of work or another name out of mansfords black book .
Hope I'm wrong

No ex players please. A young manager who buys into what Sadler wants but then Sadler hasn't got to cash in as soon as a bigger opportunity comes along for that manager.

Although am I allowed an opinion as I dont go to matches anymore 🤔

No one, not even Wenger can work miracles on our current budget.
My difficulty with Charlie or any another legend = if it all goes wrong, some supporters will turn & his status falls.
Before anyone says "no they won't", just take Josh as an example & the way some on AVFTT have (IMO unfairly) slated him!
Let's just hope the board make an early appointment, get it right, & give him an appropriate budget.

On what basis would your choice of Charlie Adam be for the position of Blackpool manager.

Serious question
I personally wouldn’t give it Charlie but the question was Wellens or Charlie and I don’t like Wellens as an individual. Too arrogant and having seen him on the Salford documentary didn’t come across at all well. If it was my decision I’d get Critchley back.

I’d be looking for better than Wellens to be honest - and I’m sure the Coventry lads are too.
I think that’s absolutely true. He’s miles from home in London. Much bigger club and potential here.
That’s very arrogant. Next season we’ll be in the same division, how does that make us a bigger club? And we’ve no significant money, a crap training ground - so how have we more potential?

So all clubs in the same division are of equal size ? That's what your third sentence says, Sheff Weds and Morecambe are in the same division......

Well surely you should have said I'd give it neither and suggest someone else🤷

In naming Sheffield Wednesday you’ve hit the nail on the head. A club who think they’re better than they are. It’s taken them years and umpteen managers to finally make an impression. In League One we’ll be playing there because that’s where this season’s bloody awful football and pathetic management has led us. We’re the same as everyone else in that division.
