NFL back this week

Going to be an interesting season in AFC West. If Russell Wilson can get his head back in the game and stop acting like him and Ciara are a cut price version of Jay Z And Beyoncé, then we might just have a chance of challenging the Chiefs in the west

I’ve loved the hard knock series with the Jets.
Garrett Wilson is some talent.

I fancy Chiefs again but the WR and RB core are rubbish in comparison to most teams. Just shows what genius Mahomes is.

Phins 20/1 with Paddy Power. Lump on.
Get ready for a Herbert masterclass on Sunday 😉⚡

Bengals or Bills for me this year.

I’m a Bolt and I’m optimistic for a good season but it depends on everyone “staying healthy”, lack of depth.

Herbert is awesome but his WRs are now in serious decline. If Ekler gets injured they’re struggling for me.

That's really strange. Put my bets on last week. I have £100 on the bills @ 9.6 and £50 on the bengals @ 14.0. Must be fated that one of them lifts the superbowl.

I think serious decline is harsh, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are class acts if they're on the field which they weren't for chunks of last season. They also drafted a WR in the first round, and have a couple of decent back up options. Lack of a decent run game is the bigger issue and that's with Austin Ekeker but the hope is that the new Offensive Coordinator from the Cowboys will improve that.

Some great knowledge on this forum. Glad I stumbled across it. Maybe we can work together and suss out the handicaps over the weekends. Without reading your posts previous my nap of the weekend was the chargers to cover the handicap, but and there is always a but with gambling they have let me down badly in the past.

I’ve drafted Johnston (new Rookie wide receiver) in my fantasy team as a bit of a sleeper. I had Mike Williams last year and it was great when he played but he cost me a couple of games breaking down.
Yeah I am probably harsh but keeping them fit is going to be tough.

Week 1 is always a weird one. So many strange results happen every year.

I see Kelce is questionable for tonight.

Based on his injury in his rookie year, would be foolish for him to be involved tonight.

I drafted him as my number one pick in Fantasy so need him to not take any risks 😅

Be interesting to see how the Chiefs go tonight, Mahomes relies on Kelce a lot.

The Jets certainly intrigue me this coming year.

I got first pick and went Justin Jefferson.
Allen is my Qtr although I missed Mahomes by one pick.

My mistake was Breece Hall. I forgot they’d signed Dalvin Cook so that’ll be commitee.

As it’s me and then the rest are Yanks, I’m flying the flag for Blighty 👊
Won it two years ago and they were furious 😂

Yeah JJ is immense and he would have been who I would have picked if I got the first pick. The draft didn't go the way I thought it would go and didn't plan on drafting a TE first but Kelce is just a different breed (until he got injured 😞)

Yep, Cook being there muddy's the water and because of Breece's injury last year they will be looking at a committee, especially with Carter in the mix too.

Haha nice, can imagine them lot taking it massively serious 😆

Particularly as my team name is Pad Wearing Pussys and I constantly refer to the game as hand egg. 😁

In that case gents, this thread isn’t for you?

Likewise, I don’t post on golf threads as I’d rather do cardio in a lifting gym than submit my boredom levels to that sport.

NFL is fast paced smash ‘em up sort of sport and I love it

We also have issues with run defence.

It is the same old Bolts - loads of talent but cannot win the big games.

Interesting to see if the Lions progress this year.

About time. Really looking forward to going to Tottenham in a few weeks to watch the Bills game.

Anyone else going to London?

No spoilers but that was a great start to the season........
My god.. KC missed Kelsey so much. Looked lost in the play action. Mahomes as we know absolutely carry that team. With the weak D it's only a matter of time before the kids picks up another serious injury.

How poor was Toney? I honestly thought he’d be a star WR this season with teams doubling up on Kelce.

You have to love Campbell too. Play fake on 4th and 2 on his own 20 yard line. Bollox like melons for that one.
That call was one of the craziest ever but paid off.. Suicidal I thought.

Agree a brave call, but probably right time to make one like that. No-lose game for the Lions.
They're probably justifiable favourites for NFC North, which means my team will, once again, be bridesmaids
Whatever the sport, why do I follow sides which fail more than they succeed?

yeh Kelce is PM's go-to. He's like a WR in terms of his targets. Just watched full game and Toney had a shocker, not least the pick six and Moore wasn't much better with that drop on their final drive. KC also missed Jones tho Lions just bashed it up through the middle most of the time. The Lions rookie Gibbs at RB looked good.

Will be a good div tho Lions only scored 14pts excl kicks against KC who were missing their best defender. Can't see Vikings or Packers WRs dropping as many passes as KC did.

Toney was available last year - that probably showed why. They need a no 1 WR especially if Kelce is missing. But he'll be back as will Jones, so can't write them off yet (unfortunately 😬).

This week one is hard to pick. Was searching for a bet but nothing on the Handicaps stands out to me. I was going to back the cowboys on the moneyline but only if I could get 4/5.. None of that about and mostly 8/13 so just going to watch and enjoy without the added fun of a wager. This 1st game on sky should be a cracker.

In Tenerife so didn't get to watch it...go Tua. I hope some of his detractors will see what he can be, rather than wait for him to fail.

Spoiler alert 🚨

I watched the whole game and Tua made some awesome plays with a few dodgy handling moments. Hill had an unbelievable game, he was unplayable.

That offence will be tough the stop, looking forward to see how it does against a better defence.

The Chargers weren’t bad and the improved run game is encouraging. The Dolphins closed out the game really well with the sacks at the end.

Disappointed from a Charger perspective as I was confident going into the final drive, especially with the missed conversion.

I had Atlanta’s Robinson on the bench for fantasy too so not a good night for me on the whole!

Great game from The Phins with a few wobbles and it was a little too tense at the end for my liking.

The offence is explosive and Tua seems to have a bit more time to make his plays. Defence great at the end.

Pats up next .

Hope the Bills do well. Don't really follow it myself, but my mate here is a huge Bills fan so I hope he gets to see some success.

A better performance from Wilson but the pass rush we heard so much about in pre-season went AWOL. Also, far too many penalties conceded

Also a few question marks over Payton as Head Coach . . .
Why release McManus to bring Lutz in only for him to kick 4 points away in a 1 point loss
Why punt the ball back to the Raiders wen you're a point behind and it's 4th & 3 in the dying minutes of the game?

The Brock party in Pittsburg was crazy. 9ers looked crazy strong. They’ve got some serious weapons on O & D.

That tackle by Warner on Harris was nasty as. He literally stopped him dead in his tracks - pure upper body strength.

Only week one but Im going to have one of my biggest ever wagers on the nfl. The buffalo Bills at 4/5 represent outstanding value. I priced them up at 2/5..The Jets have potential but in my eyes until they prove that potential it's all hot air and media hype..They can hype them up as much as they want, it's all the better for myself. In my 35 years wagering and making markets for various bookmakers on the NFL I have never witnessed a mistake like this. Josh will rip there weak defence apart.
