NFL back this week

Gutted about Rodgers, was really looking forward to seeing how that story unfolded over the season.

Only week one but Im going to have one of my biggest ever wagers on the nfl. The buffalo Bills at 4/5 represent outstanding value. I priced them up at 2/5..The Jets have potential but in my eyes until they prove that potential it's all hot air and media hype..They can hype them up as much as they want, it's all the better for myself. In my 35 years wagering and making markets for various bookmakers on the NFL I have never witnessed a mistake like this. Josh will rip there weak defence apart.
I took the profit at 1.04 so no damage

I’m gutted about Rodgers and that’s their chance gone for me? Zach Wilson doesn’t doesn’t have the arm skill to get the best out of Garrett so they’ll become over reliant on Cook and Hall.

Their defence though is pure evil. They battered Allen into submission so even without Rodgers they’ll win enough to reach the playoffs but not enough to win the SB

Really dissapointed with the Bills.. Only going off 1 performance they are no way a superbowl winning side. To 1 dimensional Allen to Diggs. I got out with a profit but was lucky.. Like previously stated 49ers stars of week one closely followed by dolfins..49ers will be favourites no I presume.

Went to sleep with win predictor having me getting 172 and the Yank finishing on 131. Wake up and I’m going to lose….
Dallas shut out Hall for me (their d is crazy good) and he had Dak and Ceedee Lamb 🥲

You can play 5 deep to negate Miami's wide receivers but that opens up the running game like last night. I loved the way Miami kept running to the outside to get defenders to commit and then ran it up the middle for the big gains. The defense played really well with a big shout out to Van Ginkel, a rotational player who made the loss of Phillips irrelevant and a much improved O line even without Armstead.
I think Phins fans can be optimistic.
On another note the Cowboy's defense looks frightening.

Running backs are now almost commodities as the chance of them not getting injured in a season is so small.
Quarterbacks getting more and more protection rules, but linebackers and D line are getting bigger, faster and stronger and the poor RBs just get ground in the mincer.

Yeah feel for the running backs, their time in the game is massively reduced due to the wear and tear put on their bodies. Not sure how Chubb could ever recover from that type of injury.

The way RB's are paid nowadays, added to the major risk of injuries must be off putting for any youngster trying to make it as an RB in the game (parents must be steering them to play in a different position).

Bad injuries can happen at any time to any player on the pitch but the longevity of the average RB is about 5/6 years.

Rodgers out for the season after 4 snaps.

You couldn't make it up for the long suffering Jets fans.

Last night on the Pat McAfee show he said he is aiming to be back this season. He's already in situ on the West Coast with all the very best people.

Also pretty much said that this is not how the story for him ends with the Jets so already looking like he will be there at least next season.

Horrific injury for Chubb last night.
They wouldn't show the replay during the game. They never stop replays in the States either. Bone straight out of the kneecap by the looks of it. Considering the tackles running backs take it looked fairly innocuous.

He’s been on the ayahuasca again….

He gave McAfee plenty back when he took the piss out of him being unvaxed.

I like the Jets. Love the perennial underdog.
They’re my team Mac.

It’s something about season after season failure that feels familiar 😂

I was in NYC last new year and sat in a greedy spoon scoffing a mass of eggs after the gym. I had my “salute to service” Jets hoody on and a group came over assuming I was one of the coaches. I told them I’m back office looking at growing it in the UK and then signed note books. Missus just sat with her head in her hands dismayed 😂

I listen to a Chargers podcast and their reaction to going 0-2 reminds me of AVFTT 🤣

I do worry because it's the first time in ages they've had much of the roster "healthy" so everyone expected a lot more.

Bengals a surprise to me too but I think they'll come good, Phins looking excellent and IF Tua plays a full season they could be a force.

Top of my fantasy league so it's not all bad 😁

Half time here at Hard Rock and just wow. I'm blown away by everything. 35 points put up. But it's everything else the stadium. The prices. So great value and the pregame atmosphere. It's so much better than the UK. And my ticket was only 30 dollars. Ticked off my bucket list as been to the old stadium but this place is something else.

What a game to go to too Manc!!
The Phins look frightening

Well it was only Reading, sorry Denver, but that was fun. The offense is scary good with Tua doing what he does best with quick accurate throws and the O/Line again providing the protection needed and with the return of Armstead providing huge running lanes. Bigger tests await starting next Sunday but things are looking good.
A big thank you to all the GM's who let Achane, the fastest running back in this year's draft fall into the Phins laps in Round 3 to complete the 4x100m relay team.

Mac, it’s pretty fair to say that the Jets will continue to deliver a horribly disappointing season.
I’m wondering now if they’ll try and trade for a QB whilst it’s early enough. They’ve got so much young talent but poor Zach Wilson is like a rabbit.

Payton needs to go . . . NOW !!!!
And did we replace McGlinchey at RT with a revolving door?
Would have been nice if the D fence had turned up too

Bills up next. At least it should not be snowing there as usual. Go Phins.

Absolutely amazing experience. Bit fragile today. Went with some phins fans to gramps bar until 5am celebrating. Why oh why do I still think I'm in Rotters in Manchester in 1990.. Message to self I'm 51 and can no longer drink 12 pints then cocktails and whatever else. Lol. My liver needs a few days off. Haha. I woke up in the bath in my hotel room. With a tua top on and a banging head ache. God knows where my lyle and scot shirt has gone. Wlf.. If any of you guys who have never been I fully reccomend.

Yeah on form. Even though I'm a Bills fan, the phins surely have the edge in this one right. The Sportsbook have it 11/8 miami 4/7 Bills.. I know home advantage is massive in the nfl but surely them prices are wrong. Even a trade back miami now and trade out around evens. I'm sure the line will move more towards Miami the closer to game day. A back at them prices and the market moving towards even money would yield a 38% profit without a down being played. Looks like free money to me.

Haha, sounds brilliant, fair play 👍

Wilson simply is not good enough to be an NFL QB. Watched a vlog last night and Namath was having a complete rant about how bad he is. The Jets have a week to bring in a vet QB or the season is over.

To be honest there is not much in terms of vets to look at. Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan or Nick Foles. Hardly gets the pulse racing but someone has to come in and get the offense going.

Not great options. Wentz could surely be improvement despite his last few seasons. So much talent in offence and D even if the O line is a bit shaky.
With Hall and Cook he has running options and in WR they are loaded. TEs are good enough so no real excuses just crap QB play

I was blessed enough, as a Broncos fan, to be in Qualcomm Stadium when Elway picked up the first of his back to back Superbowl rings and ended a 13-year streak of NFC Superbowl wins

He's not the only QB with the surname Wilson that needs replacing, thought I would suggest the priority at Mile High needs to be replacing Payton

I didn’t want to upset Manc on that one 😁

I’ve got Jerry Jeudy in my fantasy squad. He’s almost wasting that talent as much as Zach is with Garett Wilson.

Was living in Arizona at the time , so it was only about an hour's flight and I managed to grab a ticket as soon as they went on sale. So at that point didn't even know my team would be in the Superbowl. Got invited to several tailgate parties in the parking lots before the game which was fun, I did get a a few strange looks though, when I describe the broncos as playing in Tangerine rather than orange
