o/t Anyone whacked the heating on

20 degrees upstairs in the house with no heating on, no need for it.

A couple of cooler days coming up but the house wont cool much in those days, especially with the sun being so powerful this time of year.

So no.

Its 10 or 11 degrees outside... mild.

I put my Pool training top over my t shirt. 👍 Our heating has been off for weeks and I don't anticipate it being on again til maybe late September.

Mines been off since the prices went up, fuck em. Was a bit chilly at the time in April but letting the sun in warms the house enough.

Usually off from May till late September / October anyway.

Might just put more layers on when it does go colder later in the year, I think a lot will decide to do that rather than pay ridiculous prices.

Ours is off altogether and has been since the heatwave in April/May. Short sleeves all day a d long sleeves at night. When watching telly put a blacket over your legs, you'll stay warm. Being ion a fixed income with a pension I have no other alternative.

Just went for a 5 mile run .. first 3 miles sweating my 'nads off in the sun, the last 2 miles shivering in cold winds and heavy rain!
Suppose it's good for the garden!

Yes. Some of us may remember single glazed bedroom wndows with ice clinging to them (on the inside) in chilly winters. You know, before central heating was invented. Hot water bottle. Sorted 👍 😁
Accrington brick in the oven then wrapped in a cloth to stop it burning us! Couldn’t afford hot water bottles 😂

I have Hive so if am out just boost it for an hour on the cold days for when I get home. Other wise just boost it at home. It's set to come on 7-30am until 9-00am and from 4-00pm to 8-00pm but i haven't had to use the settings yet.

Missus has been putting it on for half aan hour a day to get the chill out of the rooms. Til today that is. It's been on for a couple of hours or so now and I can see all this money slipping through my hands! Can I afford to go out for a pint tomorrow now!

Yep it's slipped a bit in our house this week, the justification being 'It felt damp'!

It's been on when we wanted it as usual, down a few degrees to reduce the bill a little. Been on today as I got soaked plus 2 wet dogs. It's the electric that seems to be the biggest part of the bill ATM. Robbing twats.

Any warmer than 15 and I’m stripping off layers to cool down. So it’s still shorts weather for me at the minute… Maybe stick something warmer on some nights, but not the heating …

Of course. It’s cheaper if you turn heating off and get warm in the pub instead. Mind you ‘er indoors will be freezing though! 🤣
