Wonder how many staff the BBC are taking this year on the publics billet? Seem to remember one year they needed more than 300 employees which was more than they took to The World Cup in the same year...Anyone going, who we looking forward to seeing, Glasto memories etc. Didn't get a ticket this year which I was gutted about but one of the highlights of the year for me and will be rooted to my TV for much of the weekend (thank God for the BBC!).
That's the spirit!Wonder how many staff the BBC are taking this year on the publics billet? Seem to remember one year they needed more than 300 employees which was more than they took to The World Cup in the same year...
...Michael Eavis, News at Ten, Glastonbury.Hate it. What started out as a free gig in a field in Somerset for hippies has now turned into an overpriced package holiday for mainly middle class tossers who wander round in their wellies pretending to know who's playing.

Twice and never paid, once we parked up, walked miles to suss it out, nicked in went out again got all our gear and nicked back in again, but slung the sack of firewood as nobody could be arsed carrying it, top days.I've been 4 times, and always climbed over the fence which was a challenge at 2am, completely wasted with a tent, beer and backpack.
One year it was raining, it got so muddy it was about 2 ft deep and my mate brought a kids play tent to sleep in. Oh to be 25 again eh?
Exactly this.Hate it. What started out as a free gig in a field in Somerset for hippies has now turned into an overpriced package holiday for mainly middle class tossers who wander round in their wellies pretending to know who's playing.
or a B.B.C jolly.......Exactly this.
It's like a Guardian staff away day.
My only issue with the BBC is the relatively small amount of coverage, with all the staff they have on site they could have a couple of pop up channels on the red button and show a lot of bands live. That's the spirit!
And also Lauren bloody Laverne. My only issue with the BBC is the relatively small amount of coverage, with all the staff they have on site they could have a couple of pop up channels on the red button and show a lot of bands live.
Also I blame the BBC for all these trendy Hunter wearing nobs calling the festival "Glasto"
You do know they film loads of the gigs. It's not one person running around with a mobile phone.Wonder how many staff the BBC are taking this year on the publics billet? Seem to remember one year they needed more than 300 employees which was more than they took to The World Cup in the same year...
Can’t understand the fixation by the media, it’s a pop concert, that’s all.
No, and I e no desire toHave you ever been?
So why get involved Mates it way way bigger than just a POP concert with around 100 stages with every style of music including cinema, comedians, theatre a fairground kids play areas it's huge. No, and I e no desire to
My point was how the media virtually have orgasms trying to look as if they absolutely love it and probably few of them would ever get down and dirty in a tent.So why get involved Mates it way way bigger than just a POP concert with around 100 stages with every style of music including cinema, comedians, theatre a fairground kids play areas it's huge.
think you might of got the Gallagher brothers confused...?I'd have to go VIP and probably have a fight with Noel Gallagher telling him 'It's my XXXXXX room, you can XXXX off to Knebworth', hoping of course his food and beer order had been delivered in advance, and Patsy Kensit (frozen in time, but defrosted).
Not for the first time......think you might of got the Gallagher brothers confused...?
Whatever you do in your ensuite is your business LaLaNot for me, no en suite and all that popping and snorting going on night and day
