He has been involved in a serious car crash. Jaws of life had to be used to cut him from the wreckage. Fingers crossed he is not seriously injured.

He was arrested in 2019 for falling asleep at the wheel. Turns out the pain meds he was taking for spinal fusion surgery were responsible for it. He has just recently had back surgery and now this. He looked 'out of it' in an interview during the genesis tournament this weekend.

Fingers crossed he pulls through without any permanent damage. I fear we may never see him playing golf at the elite level again 😔

Sounds like career ending injuries and I feel for him. Interesting that authorities are saying no alcohol or drugs involved and it was purely an accident. How can you have an accident with no other vehicles involved, on a quiet road at 7.15 in the morning? Surely he had to have been speeding excessively, or texting, or something that distracted him.

They say no alcohol or drugs involved, but this is because no tests were taken. Surely, the police should request a blood sample from the hospital. Are the rules different for the rich & important or are the laws different in the US?
After all, Woods does have previous.

Also, I don't buy this "it was purely an accident". I work in the Oil & Gas industry and safety assessments are very important and highly structured. The term accident does not apply - there is always a cause. In this case, that cause (as there is no other driver / animal involved) would appear to be he was speeding.

Police have issued a statement this morning saying no driving offence charges will follow.
I wonder if It was just Mr average man in the street someone unheard off the same would apply?
I wish Tiger a speedy recovery but he’s already admitted that he was late for a tee off time so it’s pretty obvious he was flooring it, just thank God no one else was involved. 🤔

I am sure I read that tests had not been taken. Hence, my surprise that they made the statement that drink / drugs not involved. I wouldn't want those cops investigating a murder with such gaps in collecting evidence! 😯
Ive not been following it in detail but would be surprised they would say that without reason.

Multiple fractures of the tibia and fibula in his right leg protruding through the muscle and skin, below the knee, and a shattered ankle joint and foot now held together with many pins and screws. So, muscle and tendon damage too. Considering his right leg is the one he pivots on when driving etc, his golfing future looks very difficult.

That'll be a handicap. 😯
