Did he slap his head!! Where is skully now?A home game years ago, Colin Methven was playing, if that helps place it. might have been Chester we played. might not.
We were 2-0 down, then 2-1, 3-1 down. Got back to 3-2, my mate said next scorer wins this. We scored twice in the last 1 pp
0, Skull headed a cross from right in front of me in the Paddock, back across goal for someone to tap in.
The Tranmere Sherpa Paint thing too, but I wasn't at that one.
Eyresy in goal at Tranmere tooTranmere in the league cup around 1991. Lost the 1st leg 3-0, won the 2nd leg 4-0 and at the same time giving John Aldridge absolute hell after he put 3 fingers up when they were 3 up. 'Aldo what's the score' at 4-3
Around 2k there that night. Unlike Barnet away, I was there

One of the first games I went attended with my mates as a young lad, made me a fan for life.Tranmere in the league cup around 1991. Aye, and I was one of them. Almost directly in-line with Bonner's slightly deflected winner.428 Pool fans.
It was Gow indeed!I enjoyed the 4-3 win at Watford in the Champ when we came from behind 3 times to win ( I think). Alan Gow with the winner.
Yes, in the second legDid Eyresyscore straight from a corner, or am I getting mixed up

For excitement it has to be the 3-2 over Arsenal in the Cup 1970. However, for importance, your choice has to be the tops.Personally mine has to be the Watford 3-2 victory in 2010. Played a vital role in PL promotion season.

That was a great game3 2 win v arsenal 1970...
Agree about Elton Welsby on Granada Soccer Night. He ** loved Tranmere. I was at both games and the highlights of the second leg were a joke.I think your right. That night still niggles me whenever I see Elton Welsby mentioned anywhere. 1st Leg got 30 mins of coverage on Granada Soccer Night that night and he was creaming himself over their 3-0 win. The only reason they scored three is because our keeper either went off injured or got sent off, I cant remember. I think Eyres went in nets ? Anyway the 2nd Leg got about 30 seconds of highlights the following week when we turned it round. I went to both games.
Was also at Wrexham away, so my vote goes to that one, serious mental was had when the fourth went in. You could sense it happening when we got it back to 2-3.
Can also remember a 4-3 home win against Walsall in about 1990, but i'm not sure if we came from behind or not, but we did win late on.
Didn't go to the Plymouth game mentioned, I think we won it 5-2. I can remember watching the goal flashes coming in on an early Sky Sports Soccer Saturday in Never On A Sundays.
That game is the one I always think of.Can also remember a 4-3 home win against Walsall in about 1990, but i'm not sure if we came from behind or not, but we did win late on.
Poor Malky, he gave us a lovely boost 2 years later as well when Matty P ripped his Cardiff side apart at theirs.Personally mine has to be the Watford 3-2 victory in 2010. Played a vital role in PL promotion season.

I am as sure as I can be 30 years on, we were 3-0 down at half time and I thought to myself we need to score every 10 minutes to win it.
We did get a late winner and it was bedlam.
I tend too think half the crowd would have gone home of it happened today.
It's funny though as I don't look at us repeating it when we are losing late, but always think of conceding 3 goals in 8 minutes v Gillingham when we are winning late.
Strange how football affects you!
Yes our keeper was McIlhargey, I too can’t remember why he went off but Eyresy did a Stirling job keeping it to 3I think your right. Thought Alan Gow was ace at the timeIt was Gow indeed!
Cant remember if it was that game to be honest.Did Eyresyscore straight from a corner, or am I getting mixed up
He was, we could have got him cheap as well because of a failed medical.Thought

I was at that - Aldridge was giving it to the South Paddock - and we didn't half give it back - proper banterTranmere in the league cup around 1991. NoI don't think we were 3-0 down, but we were definitely well behind in the 2nd half. Don't mention Gillingham, its on youtube if you really want to re-live it
Yep, came back twice from a goal down to win.Cardiff Wembley 2010.
Gre comeback, brought back loads of memories, we had some great do or die players. o/t, after the video I followed a link to our first game in the prem on Gillette soccer Saturday, talk about emotion, wow goosebumps, definitely had some dust in my eyes at the end. Brilliant quotes from Olly, unbelievable Jeff, used to love that show back in the dayPersonally mine has to be the Watford 3-2 victory in 2010. Played a vital role in PL promotion season.

Got to love GTF, chuntering away at the Cardiff players even as they walk on to the pitchHow could we forget that?
I remember the conga well . . .3 0 down at Wrexham and the trumpeter started playing the Great Escape. Never heard it at a football match before.
By the end of the game we were conga'ing in the stand to it.
That was my mates fault! 3-0 up 10 minutes to go and he says "isnt it nice to be able to just sit back and enjoy a game knowing you've won!"It's funny though as I don't look at us repeating it when we are losing late, but always think of conceding 3 goals in 8 minutes v Gillingham when we are winning late.
