On behalf of the 170 or so Seasiders that sailed along the Thames today, sincere thanks for organising such a great trip.

It really was a fantastic couple of hours, possibly even eclipsing our previous jolly to Fulham a couple of seasons ago, no doubt helped by the balmy weather!

The time and effort that you put into making today special is really appreciated; well done and enjoy the rest of your weekend pal!

Just a shame that we didn't come away with three points, but thats another story!

I echo the sentiments above. Cracking couple of hours in good company and a highlight of the day.

Well done Ash — I joined BASIL in Maze Hill and some in there said it was wonderful — thanks to Basil for finding such a greatpub — super foodand ale

All in all it was nearly the Perfect day

Just to aDD - This is what away days ARE ALL ABOUT -imagination, fun, well executed plans - Like Lee Charles & assistant Jane, you have put football in the best light and that is memorable Ash but just how it should be.

I also thought our following was excellent yesterday too.

Best for more fun home and away

Well thank you So much for the kind words.

I have been “swamped” by messages of appreciation on both here & the Boat WhatsApp group let plus numerous “face to face thank yous” I continually received before, during and after the trip.

Forgive my arrogance but I knew it went well yesterday and all my hard work and organisation truly paid off!!!!!

However, good organisation accounts for nothing, if the people who come on a coach or boat don’t “make it happen”.

EVERYONE came with the right attitude to have fun, enjoy themselves whilst at the same time respect and be sociable with every other person on the trip.

It’s ALL YOU not me that made it happen👍

It’s the great “atmosphere and vibe” yesterday that was “magical” for me

Old friendships & acquaintances being restored and new friendships forged.

I took a bit of what I consider “unfair” criticism at times whilst organising so will I organise another???!!!!

Of course I will!!! 🤣🤣

A special thanks for all the fantastic company, the extensive help & cooperation I received, the crew and bar staff of “The Pride Of London”, but a special thanks to Mick and his family who kindly decorated the boat for me🧡

Thanks also for the kind O/P Bada👍

Meanwhile £700 of the £1200 needed has been raised to put Ska Face on at the annual
Charity Golf Day in aid of Blackpool Trinity Hospice & Brian House at Poulton Golf Club on the evening of 10/8/24.
Entry Free!! Lots of Bars Food Concessions & Family Entertainment.

Thank again !!!!

Ashley🧡

I don’t think Jane will thank you for calling her Lee’s assistant!

We will judge for ourselves whether the trip had a great “atmosphere and vibe” and whether or not it was “ magical” when we see the videos .

Words are not enough .

That may have been my last trip to London, up at 5.00 a.m Bus at 6.00 a.m.train a 6.55 a.m Home at 11.45pm.
A very long day but worth the effort and the pennies.

Knackered today but so what.

Thanks Ashley thoroughly enjoyed it. 🚢 👌

AngelBFC & Tigger,

FFS “Get A Life”, I didn’t see either of you at The Valley but there were a thousand or so Seasiders having a great day in the Sun, despite the late equalisers.

Lee Charles TV has been given first dibs on the videos I took, he has kindly supported my charity efforts in the past, I can’t say either of you have done the same.

In the meantime, stick to buying silly flags to put up in the North Stand that have never been to any other football ground either in England or abroad🙄🙄🙄🙄

My 'assistant'😂 and I couldn't make Charlton and the PLFS Boat Trip but Ashley sent me some footage through tonight that he filmed on his phone and asked me if I wouldn't mind putting it together for him to show those of you that would like to see some footage from the day

Here is the link to watch it (right I'm off to bed)

yep, good watch. Will really have to try and make the next one and well done to Ash for putting it all together. Organising any trip is never easy and he deserves enormous credit. Things like this can be stressful so I hope he really got time to enjoy himself as well. It seems he did.

Cheers Pete,
I sincerely hope you and your family can come and join in on the next one.
I do enjoy the day, the “run-up” is the hardest bit but when I see “The Blackpool FC Fans Family” having a great time in the whole spirit of how the trip was planned, it makes me want to keep going especially with the bit of “self-actualisation” in raising money for such a worthy Blackpool Cause thrown in too.
Ash. 🧡

Co-Presenter and Producer then - dont get me wrong, Jane adds as much to the excellent broadcasts
She hasn't complained yet (I'm sure she's too busy writitng another good read article.)

Anyway, get your thinking caps on for another special away day theme - putting the fans and the Club and footie in the best light - boy we need some entertainment and colour in Grey Britain - Keep your Sat football days fun
