Doesn't seem to be a rumour that's going away. I'd certainly take him on a free. Tall, powerful, quick, can play anywhere across a front 3 and takes and scores from set pieces too (something we don't tend to do much). He's proven he's capable in the Championship and a lot of big clubs have looked at him over the years.

so Cardiff own him, but in 2 years hes been on loan at Posh, Brum Pompey and then Den Haag?.

Bit concerning, although the fee cardiff paid was supposedly £700k.

ill be first to say I don't know a lot about this guy but im hoping our next striker will be capable of being an on the shoulder type who is fast and can also pick up the ball and run at defenders. An opposite of Gnands in type. If he is and especially if available on a free then he'd be more than welcome from me. If he is similar to Gnands was then we already have this type of player in Madine so don't really know why we would want another of the same type.

Rumour is he's in talks.

Cardiff coming down from the Premiership had a real glut of forwards and then decided not to play a lot of them - I think there were a number of issues with their recruitment team and then of course Warnock not exactly playing an attacking brand of football - I think he actually turned a centre half into a forward despite having forwards available to him... £3 million (or some say £5 million) on Madine and then released him suggests there's maybe more to it at Cardiff than meets the eye !
That being said Peterborough don't mess about when it comes to identifying quality forwards and Birmingham, Portsmouth and Den Haag (Pardew) tend to not shop around in the cast-offs bin - so there is obviously quite a lot of potential and a good pedigree of player within.

From the video's I've recently seen and from what I (remember) saw of him first hand - he's a hard working forward and definitely has pace. Could probably suit the high press quite well given his athleticism, pace and physique. Plenty of videos of him ghosting past defenders too and it looks like he gets into good positions. Not too many goals seem to be headers.... which suggests he's less like Gnando !

Most strikers can produce a decent promotion video. Looking at his record he doesn't seem to have held down a decent run anywhere in recent times

He looks strong and powerful, and with an eye for goal in that video and could probably do a good job with the right players around him

Came from a BS Twitter account. Now more than likely people are whispering the rumour around without citing a source, meaning it’s artificially picking up credibility. Stranger things have happened and the broken clock is right twice a day, but given he doesn’t really fit the ‘young, hungry’ profile I’d be staggered if anything came of this. Don’t get ur hopes up!

I mentioned him 12 months ago as someone I’d like to see the club sign. But we were still in a bit of a mess back then, I’m not sure any of us realised it at the time.

I have to disagree with some on here that he’s never proved it in the championship, if you look it’s more that the jump from league two to the championship was too big a step. He’s really struggled At that level.
He was however the best player on league two for a couple of season on the bounce, 3 or so years ago.

hopefully it’s not all boolooks as I’d fancy him to do well here.

He had a couple good seasons in the lower leagues, hasn't quite worked out for him in the championship though, worth a punt.

If he's as good as everyone is making out why would his club want to sell/offload him?
You're right. We should only be going after players club's won't sell under any circumstances.... How about Messi ? Ronaldo ? Sancho ?

If we only go after players clubs don't want to sell we're going to be signing players from MUCH lower divisions. If a League 2 club doesn't want to sell a player they're still going to be bloody expensive to force them to sell them. How many times can Sadler do that ?

He didn’t make the grade at Championship level.
Could he be productive in League one.
I think so.

Fuckin hell lads, I only made a comment!!
Sorry ! I'm working from home and I've got colleagues whinging 8 hours a day, my other half whinging 24 hours a day and the kid whinging 24 hours a day... and ultimately no escape ! I think it makes me tetchy ! 😁 I do get your concern but think even with Sadler we've still got to be realistic. He'll run the club the right way and he'll spend money wisely but he certainly won't be spunking it for the sake of it. With Critchley I imagine we'll become a club who gives players their second chances and allows them to prove themselves. We actually did pretty well with that under Holloway but I think we'll look at younger players now (Bouazza, Lua Lua etc we're all in their 30's)

I saw quite a bit of Bogle while he was at Grimsby.
I would be disappointed if we sign him. He is big and strong and had a good scoring record in Division 2 with Grimsby. But he would disappear from games for long periods and didn’t have the movement or football sense to suggest he could play at a higher level. i wouldn’t have said he had real pace. many of my friends are town fans and hyped him up to me but I was disappointed in the four or five games I saw him in. He hasn’t done much at any of the clubs he has played for since.
i would be disappointed if he was a key signing for us and would Gnando as more of an asset than him.

On paper he has all the attributes. He is big (6' 3") and for one so tall he has very good feet. He favours his left peg and has good pace. I first saw him playing for Solihull Moors against AFC Fylde and even then I thought he was destined for better things.
He has done it at Division Two (with Grimsby) and below, but has yet to show he can consistently perform at a higher level. At 26 he is certainly the right age!

He’s not been prolific in the Championship but he’s scored a few goals and played games - but not many will be prolific at Wigan, a struggling Birmingham City or a Cardiff team under Warnock. When on loan at Portsmouth he had a good record, whilst at Peterborough they were going through a bad patch which ended up with the manager being sacked.
Give the lad a chance in an attacking minded team and I think he’d be a real asset.

I don’t feel Bogle is Critchleys type of player to be honest.

Someone we should look at is Harris Vuckic, former Newcastle attacking mid, played in the Netherlands last season, scoring 11 (I think) and assisting a few.

Might know Critch from his time at Newcastle’s youth academy

Hi Stan. Are you still in Recife? I lost your number, sorry. Moving back to Portugal at the end of this month. Current number : (+55)15996107176. Cheers and UTP!

And what evidence did you have prior to us signing Anderson. I certainly saw nothing except for literally the day before, when Alan Nixon tweeted that a deal was near!
Exactly. Alan Nixon tweeted that a deal is close. People seem to approving/writing off the signing of Bogle when I haven't seen us even being linked with him.

Nixon has mentioned him in the past. Is Nixon LythamKev's real name, because they're both uncanny in their success rate of BFC related news.

Realistically if we were in for Bogle, who and how would the forwards be managed.... surely that’s too many to keep happy all the time. Gunna be attacking for sure 🤣

Another attacker incoming in CJ Hamilton (see thread 😄)

We do need someone left-footed (he is), but I can definitely see one or two leaving.
