Our Prem 'make or break' game

Notice that the Dingles play Luton tonight which is massive for both sides and will help determine where they both end up.
Was there a decisive Prem game (other than the obvious United one)? For me it was West Ham at home. Left that game certain we'd be relegated.

Bolton away for me. 2 up and going well.

They got the draw in near enough the last minute. Obviously quite early in the season but the manner they scored the second with nobody taking a yellow summed up what was to follow. The fair play near miss proves that. Hold on for a win and the 2 points would have kept us up.

burnley cannot afford any more home losses. BUT i think they will edge it.

its seems a million years ago. just knew that no way were we going to get anything at MAN utd.
yep, that season at home in the league United drew one and won the rest so near enough a perfect home record. So we'd pretty much no chance.

West Ham, Wigan at home.
Wolves (away), Charlie’s booking in the previous game & start of his 3 game ban, heavy defeat against a rival & DJ’s red card. Heavy defeats & lack of goals the games they both missed

Newcastle at home 0 0 blatant handball not given. Also Peter 'The Cheat' Walton not sending off Rooney when we were 2 0 up

Pretty much any game from Feb 1st until late April.

Leads turned into draws or bad defeats to relegation rivals.

Still think Ollie cost us as well at Villa where he pretty much played a second string. They hadn't won until they played us, game was there for the taking.
Skimmed his book recently and he still tries to blag that was best team and there was no difference. He played Jason Euell ffs

I was sat watching us v Wigan with my eldest, who was probably 8 at the time.

At 3-0 down most of the new fans got up and left.

He asked if we were going.

I said no, I've waited a lifetime to watch my team in the top flight and I want to see as much as I can as I don't know when we will be back.

I'm glad I did.

As we were walking back to the car, the Wigan fans were singing "thanks for the three points, we've had a good time"

And in my head I was kind of singing "thanks for the memories, I've had a good time" as that was the moment when I thought we'd be relegated.

Grateful for having been there though.

I want to do it again with my youngest. The world could stop turning for me at that point.

The best thing about that season was that my lads could say that they'd seen their team in the top flight.
It's a tough call but I hope it's not another 40 years before we get there again

The last game. If we had got the nailed on penalty and scored it, not even MU would have come back. We were that close

Blackburn away for me,

Should have had a corner (blatant), then the resulting goal kick resulted in a free kick (again non entity) from which they put the ball in the box for Junior Hoilet? to beat Flapper Kingson,,,, That was it for me.... wish I'd gone to more away games, doubt at nearly 62 I'll ever see us in the prem again..... owww, got something in my eye...... 😢
