Parking in Watford

My plan is to drive to Watford and get the train into London. Can anyone recommend anywhere to park that is safe and cheap?

Thanks

Have pre booked parking at Chorley Wood Station in the past. Fenced off parking straight on the tube. Very easy and convenient.

I was looking at South Ruislip area Just off the M40.. 6 mins by underground...so hopefully parking and tube fare won’t be too expensive
We have previously stayed at Watford then got the train to Wembley...I think it was pricey tho

We've always driven to West Ruislip previously then got the tube in. Parking at the tube station and avoids the M25.

looking for ideas. Been told Wembley car park is 30 quid and with only 10,000 there and of course not all travelling individually in a car the car park shouldn't be too bad getting away from. Whereas 30 quid is steep the cost of the tube for four people there and back to station wouldn't be that short of 30 quid so time wise might be a better option.

I parked in the Wembley multi- storey in 2010. No problems other than it took a good 45 minutes to get out afterwards and slow going to the motorway but obviously won’t be such a problem this year.

I have booked the parking, with only 4000 of us there should be easy to get out.

Parked at the yellow car park plenty of times for England games. The official car park seems to have allocated the pink one to us east of the stadium both are a short walk to the stadium and both are an easy get away

With such limited numbers does it not matter driving straight to Wembley?

Never drove before.
We did that for the Yeovil game. Parked right next to the actual car/coach park. There’s a sort of lane and it has access to the backs of businesses, they offer pre booked secure car parking on the internet. Driving to Wembley was not a problem, the last mile or two was a bit of a crawl but kept moving. Price wise I remember it being around £20-25 at that time. Getting away after the game was a breeze, no hold ups.

I have parked on a pub car park just over the road in the past

£20 for the day no problem getting out with the numbers that will be there

Just head to the ground and keep your eyes peeled 👍

Against West Ham we parked in the long term parking on the Upper floors of the Harlequin Shopping Centre and left it overnight.

stanmore station car park ive always parked there no problem as if full next door has an office block and they allow parking then jubilee line straight to stadium
Let's face it on a Sunday with most travelling by coach or train, it's not going to be busy! We have parked here quite a couple of times - ironically we couldn't get in for the West Ham game and so maybe it's a lucky car park!

we couldnt get in either but parked in the office carpark next door think it was rithr 5 or 10 quid for the day

As I used to live in Watford, my advice would be to drive to Moor Park Underground station which is basically in the middle of a private Estate of multi million pound homes about 2 miles outside of Watford. Plenty of parking and only a 15 minute tube ride direct to Wembley as t is on the Metropolitan line. By far the quickest and easiest way to do it.

I'm going from Beaconsfield (M40) my daughter lives here you can park on most street's around the station on a Sunday. it's the Chiltern line and takes about 20 mins to get to Wembley. There's a few bars close by as well!

Decided to go straight to the ground, parking booked and paid for £30. Just need my confirmation email and tickets now 😂

I have used that one in the past. Just be careful and aware that the supermarket car park and railway park are side by side. Make sure you are in the right one.

I’ve just booked to stay at Watford Central Premier Inn , parking is a fiver for 24 hours .

Thinking of booking official car park. £30. Thoughts?

Probably no price difference to park and ride as there's 3 of us, and with low attendance should be out quite quick

I’m booked in the car park at Wembley. Saves the hassle and as people have said, won’t be a bad as previous getting away.
