Think that's a bit harsh on Critchley - I think many of our players started the season under performing and only now are hitting their stride.Calderwood effect

Mystic Meg strikes againWe’ve got Chizzyisms to look forward to as well as winning 1-2

On this occasion I only want to comment on one sentence.Enjoyed that a lot:

Allow me to be the pantomime villain.
In the second half of each half they really came into the game. In the first half it didn't worry me, we were playing really well.
In the second half it did worry me because we seemed to relax too much. We weren't in their faces enough. Then came their goal and we woke up. It's good that we had it in us to go and get the second goal then see the game out.
One other concern: Dougall is a key player but his mouth is going to get him into trouble. That's why we need an outfield captain, to keep his gob in check.
Otherwise - brilliant. It's most certainly coming together.

"The minutes applause for Warren Green is a moving moment and puts a lot into perspective."
Correct, it does.
RIP Warren.
Really, really good, enjoyable read.Enjoyed that a lot:

No it’s poignant mate. A huge win for the football club remembering someone who was clearly though of by our club and the football world. It’s a great day to be a Seasider.I feel a bit bad that that part is so brief and I hope it doesn't seem disrespectful as it is really, the most important moment of that match.
Not at all.I feel a bit bad that that part is so brief and I hope it doesn't seem disrespectful as it is really, the most important moment of that match.
Have to hold my hand up and say the Viking probably had his best game in a tangerine shirt today. Brilliant team performance and showed great spirit to come back and win the game after that sickener of a late equaliser. The competition for places can only be a good thing as we go into a hectic run of games.Good call from NC to play him and Ekpiteta. They looked well prepared and fresh.
Hahahaha you and Clappers take the credit. Funny

Or did we just make other teams look good?So you'd have been ok with the moaning twunts from the beginning of the season taking advantage of an inexperienced side regards playing as a team slagging every mistake , defensive error or missed chances.
Me?
I'm just having a go at those negative wankers.
Does it sound smug? TBH I don't give a chuffed what you think.
What I do know is that Pool played very well in parts against a team who I cant understand how they were top. We've played better teams this season.
I love your perverse positive thinking Hazi.We looked really well drilled today, the free period has done us good, bringing the Ipswich game forward could end up a master stroke.
It's the second time I've got the score right since the homecoming, I'm not exactly prolific more a Madine of last season. Ok I'll predict Tuesdays result 0-2 you heard it here first.Mystic Meg strikes again
Errr waiter....I’ll have the drugs he’s having! We looked really well drilled today, the free period has done us good, bringing the Ipswich game forward could end up a master stroke.
It's not a bad shout. Club admitted it was a mistake and more based on just wanting a game that weekend at the time and weren't really thinking ahead. But when you look at the run to come we got in there first last week. All clubs are going to have to try to gain any advantage wherever they can now, if they stay covid-free. Whether that's through bringing Tue night games forward if you got knocked out of the FA Cup first round or keeping that Sat free for a break, or use of these five subs now. Sat-Tue-Sat every week no matter your squad you'll have to take a hit somewhere.Errr waiter....I’ll have the drugs he’s having!
I got so giddy my prediction league was 0-2 & today then I forgot & went with on the match day thread 1-2 I'll take that all day longIt's the second time I've got the score right since the homecoming, I'm not exactly prolific more a Madine of last season. Good appraisalWe were good today. Ekpiteta gets better every game, Yates had his best game in a tangerine shirt and Kenny Dougall has had a massive impact on our results.
And I'm sure Calderwood is doing his bit but this is Critchleys team, funded by Simon Sadler, thankyou for a good Saturday,
Agree, an excellent performance all round. The only blot was their goal. A slow hanging cross should never be put away like that - 9 out of 10.We were good today. Ekpiteta gets better every game, Yates had his best game in a tangerine shirt and Kenny Dougall has had a massive impact on our results.

Gnanduillett would have defended the cross for their goal but Goal Machine made up for it.Agree, an excellent performance all round. The only blot was their goal. A slow hanging cross should never be put away like that - 9 out of 10.

When I think back to Ekpiteta's early games I remember thinking what the f** have we bought here. He's really settled well into the team over the last few games. We were good today. I think Colin Calderwood is the cherry on the cake we've been missing. NC was 90% there as we have been playing some great football yet losing matches. It just needed that little bit of experience to help Neil out. Just think Clough and TaylorWe were good today. There was a thread early on in the season asking who you’d pick as the signing that will develop into a star. I picked Big Marv and he’s not disappointed. On the Vital forum match thread Abel said that CC has had a lot less influence than people think, and that 442 was NCs decision.
No idea how he knows that.
As for Ekpiteta, his ability was immediately evident. He was just a bit unsure of himself and playing in a defence that was anything but settled and sorted.
See folks, even clappers spotted it.There was a thread early on in the season asking who you’d pick as the signing that will develop into a star. I picked Big Marv and he’s not disappointed.
It wasn’t looking so good early doors mind!See folks, even clappers spotted it.
We know. And you panicked like buggery! It wasn’t looking so good early doors mind!
Hmm...!One mans panic is another mans reasoned analysis voyeur
Hmmmm ...indeed. Maybe your hmmmm will come round to realise what a key role Madine has played too.Hmm...!
Madine is doing well. Someone found his motivation switch. He was doing absolutely nowt for his significant wages until he palled up with Yates, if that is what has happened. I still hope we play a different way longer term, personally, but he's doing a decent job now, at least we have a presence up front and Yates is obviously benefitting. His experience and character are good for the team if he's enjoying his football and joining in with the squad banter etc. About piggin time.Hmmmm ...indeed. I dont think he was anywhere near fit when the players came back and had really let himself go...looks much sharper now and has been like signing a new player...still not sure he will score that many but I am sure his presence up top will make a lot and is a big part of how we set up now.Madine is doing well.
