I am perfectly capable of knowing the difference between politicising an issue and teaching what is morally undeniably correct. Just because you can't contemplate the difference does not mean that an experienced teacher with years of training and experience can not either. The six headteachers I have worked for over thirty years know far better than any hate driven, right wing obsessives whether I can do my job professionally. None has ever complained but still you repeat over and over the slur with no knowledge but your hatred.
Perhaps you don't think we should be arriving to teach our children to be better citizens with more information, less bigotry, less racism, less cruelty than we were when we left our schooling. I and just about every teacher in the country would disagree.

Cat has endured years of abuse on here.
He has been called a paedophile more than once and someone even maliciously linked him to a story about a real paedophile.
And now he is called a 'danger to children'.

Are the people making these criticisms so insecure about their parenting skills that they feel that an 'evil communist' or even a regular school teacher like Cat could capture their child's mind? Why shouldn't children be exposed to viewpoints that differ from your own? Surely this is the best way to prepare them for the world at large where you will find that lots of people hold views that you don't agree with. Surely it is part of an education to be exposed to new and different ideas. To me Cat sounds like a very good teacher, i would have been very happy for him to teach any of my children based on what he has written here.

The whole criticism of his role as a teacher is a distraction because as Cat says, most of his posts are factually correct, but perhaps written in a provocative style. Play the ball not the man.
 
One of my old teachers had a bust of Lenin proudly displayed on his desk. I guess my parents shouldn't have been worried, it's such fun to be exposed to different opinions.

As for the child related accusations, I agree they are malicious and entirely unfounded.Being exposed to different, in this case, political opinions, I also agree with, however as a teacher Cat should be able to give a balanced view, ALL his posts on this forum would strongly suggest he isn’t capable of doing that. Indeed further up this thread he asks which part of his OP is factually incorrect, not for the first time , I’ve pointed one out...his usual tactic is to ignore... very grown up is our Cat!!

Hang on a mo, that first question of yours is a good question. So you acknowledge that you think it's ok for Cat to teach the kids and influence them regarding hos own political beliefs? After all, that's what you mean by exposing them to view points isn't it? Yet Cat says he doesn't bring politics into the classroom, even though I don't believe him. And do you think it's ok for Cat to teach kids in the same provocative manner to how he posts on here? Which countries apart from the UK which has just effectively given up on trying to prevent infections.
I can name the USA, Bulgaria and Portugal off the top of my head that have introduced restrictions to try to prevent the spread of the Johnson Variant. It is probably too late but they are still trying so not factually incorrect at all.
Remember Johnson doesn't care who suffers, is happy to let the bodies pile up especially if they are over 80 years old, as long as he gets to perform some ludicrous stunt to try to make himself look good.

Like many diseases in history it can have an official name and a local colloquial name at the same time. As Boris Johnson's hubris and negligence allowed it to let rip through the nation it is an entirely appropriate name for the delta variant in the UK.
