Pne on top of the championship is like

Yeah I have a distinct memory of us being 2nd in the championship after about 8 games under Ince, I remember foolishly stating on a championship forum after an away win at Doncaster (Gary Mckenzie, hes havin' a party) that we'd get promoted. Very similar to the season he just had with Reading actually.

Anyway, I haven't even noticed theyr results, I'll admit is too much to take after it felt like we were back on even ground with them for a bit.

I love it, I'm hoping they implode just missing automatic promotion so I can watch them do their usual floundering act in the play offs, quality entertainment.

I bet some of them still want to sack Lowe
Probably will do it when they end up 13th at the end of this season.....

And once the managerial merry go round starts in a few weeks.
I could see the lure of a Middleborough, Stoke, West Brom, Blackburn, QPR or Swansea being too much for Lowe to resist.
The moment he loses a game, he knows most of the Knobbers will be calling for his head.

My bad, the season before we won five out of the first six games and went on to just about stay up, 2 points clear of Doncaster. The point remains valid.
Not really. They have a good squad, we didn't. They're settled, we had chaos behind the scenes. Your point isn't valid at all.

I doubt they'll stay there but to compare them to us in 2013/14 is laughable

The point is it’s a long season and a lot can go wrong. Last I heard PNE were in bit of turmoil with the owners losing ridiculous amounts of money per year and no buyer in site, a shite coach and depleted squad. Sounds almost identical to our 2013/14 season…

Depleted squad my arse
Course we don’t 🙄

Ched Evans, Emil Riis, Ben Whiteman, Robbie Brady and Calvin Ramsay all injured.

Fernando Rodriguez-Gentile, Kian Best, Noah Mawene and Josh Seary, all academy players last season on the bench today with Best starting the last 4 league games.

My point is they're a more settled squad than we ever had and have a good manager which we hadnt had since Holloway left. They use the loan market well and have spent cash.

There'noliterally no comparison at all Between the two teams and seasons. Like I said they will probably fall away but won't end up 20th like we did

No, you were right. Under Ince we won 5 out of the first 6 and only lost 2 until December when we played Yeovil and everything unravelled. We also had a good start under Holloway the season before, think we were top going into the international break and looked decent

It won’t be long for they go on a losing run.
We have had a brilliant start in the hardest championship I have seen .
We have 5 or six player to come back from injury’s .
We have beaten stoke 18 new players 37 million I believe Sunderland have spent big .The gaps are getting bigger between the leagues . Just look at Burnley.
Just hope we stay near playoffs that will do me .
But what a start now Plymouth & Birmingham both home next 2 game .
It’s nice to Dream 😴

Is like….

Going into Brannies when you were 18. All going well for the first hour. Some nice dance moves, honeys smiling at you, and your 4th pint tasting good.

4 hours later (April) you’ve thrown up on your shoes and got rejected by the drunken hen night girls after stumbling around cluelessly…

I love it when the Nobbers have a good start and get cocky.

Cant deny PKE have started really well and seem to have strengthened pretty well without spending silly money. Duane Holmes did well yesterday going by the highlights on ITV last night. Tough league though and not sure Lowe will manage the consistency required across 46 games.

I can’t believe there’s a conversation happening on here about the Nobbers giving them a platform to come on and pat their own backs, Jeez guys

Brings back memories of 2006 when they went top around October.
PNEstu ( what happened to him) gloated on here as we struggled mid table in League 1.
Of course they slipped up and we ended up playing them the following season.
Thanks Wes for the memories

Honeys smiling at you😬

You’ve been listening to too much R Kelly pal

Reread my post and you’ll see there isn’t a hint of cockiness in it

Purely enjoying the moment and I’m sure you would do the same.

Nobber here who isn’t particularly interested in you lot as we’re in different leagues. Loved the banter last season though.
To put the record straight, although we’ve had a great start, top of the league doesn’t mean much at this stage of the season, there’s a long way to go, but It is great to have 13 points in the bag already.

Just to say that Nobber’s have had so much grief over the last 60 years that most aren’t getting carried away. But it was great singing we are Preston North End and we’re top of the league on Saturday. 😉

You were we're doing so well until that last apostrophe.
For what it's it's its' 'its worth, I'm rather impressed with your start to the season.
You've set out your you're stall and should be proud you, u, ewe sit at the top of a division to which we aspire to belong in the next couple of years.
In all seriousness, I can't believe there's theirs they'res the likelihood we'll play each other in the near future.
Personally, I think either a sustained or late run at promotion might serve you well. It's a long road and, even though it sticks in the craw, we advise from experience.
Regards

Envy does not give you a good look.

Prestonites who relished the Seasiders' drop also discredit themselves.

Just hope Pool somehow return to the second tier, despite transfer parsimony.

If PNE restore their top flight status, that must rouse Sadler to match them.

I couldn’t care less if PNE were competing in the Champions League my only concern is how the Pool are doing and Saturdays win was a tremendous boost. UTMP

Nobbers season will be over before the Illuminations are switched off, as it is every year. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Oh be quiet you sanctimonious prude I will never stop rejoicesing at any mishap that befalls our dearly beloved nobbers. You have the moral high ground and I'll do the fun bit.

......is like the Titanic setting sail on its maiden voyage.

With hindsight, you just know they are going to hit the proverbial iceberg and flounder.

I'm sure that the self annointed Gentry will ensure women and children are first into the lifeboats.

We are playing in the best Championship I have ever seen the quality & money spent.
I don’t no what’s going to happen this season but it’s brilliant & we deserve to be top of the league !
We have spent a decent amount of money by our standards & momentum is every thing.
2 home games next if we can't dream it’s time to pack up.
I think we have as good a chance of promotion as you lot do .

It's like...

... The domestic game being hauled to the precipice leading directly to the chasm of doom, where mere mortals find themselves gripped by fear as they stare into the great unknown and where even the hardiest of souls begin to suffer serious bouts of the collywobbles...
